I keep on coming back to your pages for advice on this matter. I recently encountered and used the Interaktiv Dual Head pocket ultrasound. It was easy to use and setup. I still have no experience for Eagleview except for your videos. When I checked the pricing, it was only a bit cheaper than Eagleview. Comparing websites just doesnt give enough head-to-head comparisons so I couldn't tell. Just in case you got any idea, which one would be better to use, especially for cardiac? 😔

I guess I just answered you on another comment but yeah it is perfectly suitable for that!! In fact it was specifically made for that, a quick assessment in the ED, ICU, floor, or even outpatient settings. Yeah you’ll be fine with both of them, I would choose the EagleView mainly because of the battery and imaging modes, but it’s up to your needs :)
Do you find the Eagleview allows successful peripheral and central venous cannulation? (* Have you done a vascular access video ?) Is there a lag time when jiggling the needle that makes IV access more difficult? Can you comment on the Spatial compounding settings ? Are they on or off in "vascular mode" or is this a setting the operator has ability to turn off? Thanks for addressing my questions.
Does it connect directly to your phone/iPad so that you can use it pre-hospital in patients' homes or in the ambulance - or du you need to be somewhere with a WiFi router? Vscan air uses peer 2 peer so it doesn't rely on WiFi signal.
Great introductory video. I have a few questions. I’m concerned that it is water resistant as opposed to waterproof (i.e. Dr Sono and Vave, for example). How receptive have they been updating the software since I read complaints about the usability of the software. How reliable is the connection to your phone or tablet? Any other issues come to mind on it?
Yeah they were! The good echo window also contributes, but certainly the endocardium and myocardium, as well as valve leaflets are seen very sharply and clearly! :)

@@mastersofultrasound thanks for the reply! I’m debating between the Vscan air vs Eagleview. I am an internal medicine resident with interest in pulmonology and critical care. I was leaning more towards the Vscan air because of its simplicity, reputable company, 3 year warranty and durability. I also have easy access to cart ultrasounds at work with more advanced features should I need them. I just hope they release more features such as M mode and LVivo EF like in the Vscan extend. On the other hand, the Eagleview is great with all its advanced features already included, although I’m hesitant because it’s from a less reputable company, less durable, and only 1.5 year warranty. Also I don’t know how much I’d really use it’s more advanced features. If price is not a huge issue, what would you recommend for my particular use-case?
@@mastersofultrasound I ended up getting the vscan air. I love it! I ended up dropping it from pocket height within the first week and was glad I went with the this unit lol. Your videos and replies were so helpful with this decision. Thank you! I look forward to additional features to be added in the future, which I’ve been told is indeed in development.
Yes, this is a common issue among all handheld devices, maximum scan time is 10-20mins usually before it overheats and forced to stop. Usually it is enough for a single exam, if you're scanning back to back then I would prob go with a bigger machine with coolers
Which Clarius? I only tested the PA, but know that the L20 has very great image quality. Main point from clarius PA is color doppler, it’s better than EagleView. Other than that, EagleView is better. It’s like an all terrain that has maybe an 80% performance on all aspects and ambits rather than focusing on one specifically. Battery duration is almost 3x on EagleView and price almost half of it (2800$ EagleView vs 4500$ Clarius). Unless you’re going to perform echo only, I would have my choice clear…
I appreciate this video a lot since I'm having a difficult time looking and comparing for a device since portable devices like these aren't very common in my country (Philippines). Based on your comparison, I will suppose go for the Eagleview. However, my dilemma is, would it be better to buy+ship it to my country or have a relative of mine buy+ship it in the US before they take it to me. I'm not familiar with the shipping rates nor differences in pricing that I could encounter. Just in case you're familiar 🙏 Or is there another good product on its own besides these 3? Again many thanks!
They dont have VAT since it's a healthcare product, and they ship from Europe, US or China, I dont know what works best in your case... and nothing more about multipurpose, if you want specific probes (linear or curved or pa only) there are others...
Thanks a lot doctor it's very helpful, I want to ask you about a Chinese ultrasound the konted C10RL if you tried it can you tell us about I want to buy one ?
As far as I am concerned, not. But I recommend you ask them directly info@getwellue.com given that I don’t work for this company and don’t know the details…
Nope, you can only measure things but doesn’t do calculations with these measurements. I recommend getting a visual estimate only, rather than doing the formula manually with the measurements
I think the manifacturer is the same for quite a lot of distributors, similar to what happens with thermomix that they dont sell the product themselves, but a group of commercial distributors worldwide do… IMHO
@@68-And-I-Owe-You-NONE The EagleView, Sonostar and Sonoque are all the same machine from the Chinese manufacturer but different distributers have branded them differently.

(RUclips and IG), I would recommend you to decide what you value the most (none is perfect yet) between the multipurpose probes (3-in-1 probes), which for that price are: - Butterfly: great support and price (annual subscription sucks but the entry is affordable), worse image quality imho (as all these opinions on this comment). Wired or wireless not that much important unless you're gonna switch between iphone and ipad (lightning vs usbc) or share it with a colleague who has different iphone/android. - GE Vscan Air: the best image quality among the listed, more expensive (4,5k$ no annual sub) and battery lasts

Mmm I see… yeah you outlined their differences perfectly… you’ll be fine with any of these, probably I’d go with the VscanAir provided what you said…
@@mastersofultrasound I ended up getting the vscan air. I love it! I ended up dropping it from pocket height within the first week and was glad I went with the this unit lol. Your videos and replies were so helpful with this decision. Thank you! I look forward to additional features to be added in the future, which I’ve been told is indeed in development.
Nice, enjoy it!! Glad to help and to have been useful :) 😋✨
Dose it heat up while using? And if yes does it affect the performance (e.g. image delay or lagging)
Yes, this is a common issue among all handheld devices, maximum scan time is 10-20mins usually before it overheats and forced to stop. Usually it is enough for a single exam, if you're scanning back to back then I would prob go with a bigger machine with coolers
Does it calculate EF ?
Clarius vs eagleview, which one is better? What are the strong points of clarius or eagleview.
Unless you’re going to perform echo only, I would have my choice clear…
what is the price and how I can by it from ethiopia?
I appreciate this video a lot since I'm having a difficult time looking and comparing for a device since portable devices like these aren't very common in my country (Philippines). Based on your comparison, I will suppose go for the Eagleview. However, my dilemma is, would it be better to buy+ship it to my country or have a relative of mine buy+ship it in the US before they take it to me. I'm not familiar with the shipping rates nor differences in pricing that I could encounter. Just in case you're familiar 🙏
Or is there another good product on its own besides these 3?
Again many thanks!
They dont have VAT since it's a healthcare product, and they ship from Europe, US or China, I dont know what works best in your case... and nothing more about multipurpose, if you want specific probes (linear or curved or pa only) there are others...
@@mastersofultrasound oh at least they have multiple sources. Duly noted. Thank you! This would help a lot in my cardiology practice.
Thanks a lot doctor it's very helpful, I want to ask you about a Chinese ultrasound the konted C10RL if you tried it can you tell us about I want to buy one ?
I will test it in the upcoming months! :)
Hi! Can I ask you if there's a site like the one for butterfly, that teaches you lessons for using the US in different regions?
Clarius has some good educational materials both in their website and in their youtube channel!
And other than that, there’s some cool stuff on pocus101.com and thepocusatlas.com :)
Perfect, thank you so much :)
Which device would you recommend for vascular access?
Mmm almost any with a linear scan will be great… I was pretty satisfied with the Vscan Air color doppler though tbh
@@mastersofultrasound The vscsn looks nice. It's one of the pricier options.
Then the EagleView can be a good option. Better image quality-price ratio IMHO…
@@mastersofultrasound Does the EagleView have a needle guide or center line function?
As far as I am concerned, not. But I recommend you ask them directly info@getwellue.com given that I don’t work for this company and don’t know the details…
Is this piezoelectric crystals or Chip technology?
Piezoelectric crystals. So far the only one I know with chip is the butterfly…
@@mastersofultrasound thx!
Mine is being sent from Shenzhen btw.
Would you say this is better than the OEM, Sonostar? I imagine your just paying more for an American name but maybe I am wrong
Does it work on lap top ?
Can this device calculate EF for echo? Modified teich perhaps?
Nope, you can only measure things but doesn’t do calculations with these measurements. I recommend getting a visual estimate only, rather than doing the formula manually with the measurements
Could you please review Sonostar's wireless ultrasound machine? I find it completely similar to Eagleview.
I think it’s the same manufacturer but different dealers
Do you think the extra elements (192) in the SonoQue C5PL matters?
Haven’t tried it yet so I’m unable to form an opinion, I’m sorry :(
ruclips.net/video/1nSUXQUP5Gc/видео.html
This device looks identical to the Sonostar UProbe C5PL. I wonder if it’s a rebrand or a knockoff from China... any thoughts?
I’d say it’s a rebrand🤔🤔
@@mastersofultrasound I wonder what Eagleview explanation on this issue is. It’s quite concerning.
Since i am using it to train junior doctors, which one will work with charging cable attached? I need it to work for 2 hours in a raw!😂
Thank you for your great Review. Do you know, whether import duty and tax will be applied, when it is shipped to the EU?
You're welcome Mathias :) As far as I am concerned, no import taxes are applied since it is shipped from Germany, where they have the European HQ. Kind regards!
@@mastersofultrasound Thanx for your quick answer. Unfortunately they do not respond to the E-mail I have sent. Do you have a contact information of the European HQ in Germany? This would make things easier for me. Having seen your nice review and the comparison with the vscan air and butterfly iq I plan to buy one. Thus, I am hesitating to pay 2500 because am not familiar with the company and the communication with them seems to be complicated. Kind regards!
Hello Mathias! Unfortunately I don't have their European HQ specific email :( It is located in the outskirts of Bremen (Germany) and it's where my package (to Spain) was shipped from. I don't know if they're having trouble dispatching some requests due to email saturation or what... The communication with me was very fluid whatsoever... I can hit them up on your behalf in case your email got lost somewhere, hope this works 🤞🏻 but we won't know until monday :( Here's another email address that you can use as well: marketing@getwellue.com
@@mastersofultrasound Hello Alex. Outskirts of Bremen sounds well, since I am from Germany near Frankfurt. I'll wait till next week for their answer.
By the way: Meanwhile I have checked alternatives. There are some companies that offer Ultrasound handhelds that look very very similar to the Eagleview: for example sonosif / sifsof. Some of them have 192 instead of 128 Elements (no idea whether this makes better pictures, though).
I don’t know these companies nor have I ever tried any of their products… However if they’re very similar and you wanna give them a try, feel free! Ahahah I wouldn’t recommend it though…
Hi thank you for the video. I have acquired this probe but am finding difficulty with getting this probe commissioned or deemed eligible for use in patient care in my institution. Will like to ask if you have had similar encounter with any of the handheld ultrasound probes being used at your institution please? Thanks!
Do you mean HIPAA compliance?
@@mastersofultrasound Many thanks for the reply. yes HIPAA. In addition are there any other standards to be met before the probe can be used at your institution please? Many thanks in advance!
Unfortunately I can't help you with this issue. You should contact your local department and ask them directly, given that you're the first one reaching out with this issue... Hit me up if you need anything else! :)
Where can you buy this device? It does not allow for shipment to the US
They're temporarily having problems with US shipment, I guess they'll resume it soon. If you're interested send them an email asking for an alert when it's back working :)
What is the best for echocardiography please ?
For echo alone I would say the Kosmos is unrivaled :)
Thanks for your introduction. Can Eagleview measure vascular flow automatically ?
Unfortunately not, very few pocket devices can do that actually...

could you make a review of one of those cheap chinese handheld probes?
It is not that cheap
This is great
How to connect for purchase
Hello, you have the links to their webpage in the description of the video :)
Very informative video! Thanks for putting all that together. Wireless ultrasound seems to be a trend now. Maybe due to GE's Vscan Air release.
Thanks! Yep, will see how it evolves :)
Tried the sonostar and was unusable due to lagging. Has this that issue?
This one may lower frame rate for quite few seconds occasionally, as most wireless ultrasound devices do on a normal basis… don’t know if it’s because of some interferences or the smartphone app being overwhelmed with data and the processor unable to handle it… I better recommend you to contact them directly and ask for this issue info@getwellue.com or ask them for a trial or whatever :)
Thank you. I am interested to PWD for peripheral vascular application and I’d like to buy a butterfly iq+ (tried it and seems quite usable and stable) instead but here in Italy PWD is not supported
Yeah PWD is only available in the US so far. Butterfly said they’d make it available worldwide via software update once the EU regulatory situation gets cleared, but no one knows when will that happen….
@@mastersofultrasound hope they will get it fast…it’s almost 1 year they added it in US
Do you recommend Eagleview for MSK ?
Yeah it performs well for msk. However if you’re only going to use it for msk and price isn’t a constraint there are other options to consider…

🙋🏻♂️Masters of Ultrasound here to help!! (RUclips and IG), I would recommend you to decide what you value the most (none is perfect yet) between the multipurpose probes (3-in-1 probes), which for that price are:
- Butterfly: great support and price (annual subscription sucks but the entry is affordable), worse image quality imho (as all these opinions on this comment). Wired or wireless not that much important unless you're gonna switch between iphone and ipad (lightning vs usbc) or share it with a colleague who has different iphone/android.
- GE Vscan Air: the best image quality among the listed, more expensive (4,5k$ no annual sub) and battery lasts
How much
