I was really amazed at the depth change as soon as I hit that ledge. We fished on top then went off edge. Soon as went off the edge, bite stopped. Hit back button on trolling motor and got back on top of ledge, 2 pole bent over instantly!
CONGRATS DUDE! What was your major at USF? Grouper Harvesting? Ha! I'm sure you'll be good at whatever you choose to do. Nice news today that the new on campus stadium got beyond the "dream" stage and is actually going to happen. Love me some local football. I don't know why, but ytube switched me from Brad Doe to this after being Brad Doe for x amount of years. Again congratulations on your diploma!! 🥳
Hey Max. Great video on the hogs. I just caught my first ever last week. Hey so I was wondering if you can help me out on a couple of questions. So tomorrow or Saturday I want to come down to the skyway and do some fishing for mangrove snapper. I have never been down to the skyway to fish with the boat. So my first question is what's the best boat ramp to use that's close to the bridge. Second I'm driving about two hours to get there so is there any better spots along the bridge that we might have a good chance to bring a few fish home? Any help would be appreciated. I just watched the video you did with (see ya, dude) on the snapper. Tight lines and keep them coming. I enjoy your videos.
Hey Sorry I just saw this. Maximo boat ramp and the middle rocks on Skyway normally hold snapper. There’s also spots in the shipping channel that holds them also but you have to look with ur fish finder
Id think you'd want to fish the deep side of the ledge? Looks like you anchored on top of it. Still learning how to read the charts, but i used your code a few months back and have gotten some massive gags.
Hey thank you that’s awesome glad you got some gags off it! For hogfish they explore all around the ledges so top or bottom doesn’t make a huge difference. But people generally say bottom of ledge is better for gags
That's fishing! Congratulations graduate!

not seeing very many boats out and about wer you ? Also what fishing pier is better Clearwater of St.Pete ?
offshore saint petesburg. Pier 60, Fort Desota, Rod n reel pier, and Skyway Bridge are all good piers.
Do you use bottom lock or just zoom?
I just use auto on bottom lock, Then to 2x or sometimes 3x zoom
What transducer do you use
Active imaging 3-1 transducer by simrad
About how far are you running out
15-20 ish miles normally
What boat you have?
Triton 240 lts
@@groupermvp Nice, it looks a lot smaller than a 24' boat.
Its a bay boat not an offshore model so that's probably why
What area are you in?
I’m in saint pete florida
Why let the mangrove go?
I personally Don't keep what I'm not going to eat. I don't like the taste of them
Seems like it’s harder and harder to get big hogs as water temp go up
Yeah it slows down once the water gets warm for sure
Set a water bottle full of shrimp in the sun. After an hour or 3. Start using those, hogs will slam em. Not until they're good and green tho
I’ve never heard of that method
@@groupermvp they like to nasty smell and grunts seem to be scared of them
Yea so nasty the grunts won't touch em. Try it out next time 💪 @groupermvp
