- Hi everyone! I'm very excited to be starting a new series for the next 6-8 weeks showcasing how I prep for the holidays and all the tips & tricks I've used over the years. This first video sums up what I do the first week of November every year to transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving mode, get my house decorated accordingly, and start work on my Thanksgiving Day preparations. I realize this video is a bit ramble and redundant at times and I do apologize for that. I'll try to be more focused and succinct in future videos for this series. I was just excited to start and wanted to get the first video up ASAP! I hope you enjoy this. Please leave comments and let me know if you have any requests pertaining to holiday prep. Thanks for watching & subscribing!

All these years later I still enjoy all your content.
I absolutely love your videos, and your personality! You're the one who has inspired me to start my own channel.
It's ridiculous how excited I get for your videos. Especially the long ones! Love it!
Gave me some great ideas for holiday storage and the big Christmas dinner I host.
@Laurajay100 No they live close by, too! We're very blessed to have both sides of the family near us.
@4848Deb Very smart! Love the numbering system. Might have to try that for my Christmas decorations...I have soooooo many!
Such great tips, Jen! I have been catching up on all your previous videos (recently found your channel and am hooked!) Your Thanksgiving Day sounds so fun and yummy... can't wait to see the rest of the series. My teenage son is playing in his high school marching band in the Macy's Day Parade on Thanksgiving morning in NYC this year... SO excited to go with him and experience it. So, this year we won't be celebrating our traditions until the weekend after! :)
Jen, that is how I have my totes are organized.. I have a planner for Thanksgiving (and for this year Halloween) and Christmas...I have post it notes in the front of my planners for what i have extra so i don't rebuy next year and a list of wants/needs for the next year.. I have 12 totes for inside for halloween and 3 for autumn/thanksgiving...good for you for sharing the work load...I haven't got there yet..but this year i did let my DIL help me with the dishes afterwards
Great video and excellent information and tips. I too utilize my computer to keep track of things from year to year. Something about getting it all down on paper that really takes the pressure off. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and I am looking forward to all the wonderful things you have planned in the future. Thanks for all you do!
You're absolutely right! Not only do they look alike but their personality is sooooooo similar!
Who?
Omg, i love this time of year too, Christmas are fantastic, but work to do connected with them is super crazy. Love you:*
Great video. I will use the tips for Christmas. We recently moved away from all my family and my husband will have to work on Thanksgiving so we are going to my next door neighbors house so I only have to bake one item. :)
Oh my gosh, seeing how many Halloween decorations you have I cannot wait to see how many Christmas ones you have! :)
@MAKEUPyourmindXO Dining room set is from Crate & Barrel almost 7 years ago...kitchen set is the Kipling collection from Crate & Barrel and I think they still carry that
I love your videos. I will love to watch a thanksgiving and a Christmas house tour. Thank you
@mzxmir Crate & Barrell for the mills....as for the sugar - I buy the biggest bag because I bake so much. It is totally resealable & I trust the seal otherwise I would double bag it in an XL ziplock bag. I have the canisters on my counter still but I don't use them because I don't like how narrow the opening is to stick in a measuring cup.
Brilliant video Jen. So very helpful have some great tips now. Can't wait for more. You're the best x
Thanks for the Holiday organizing tips - would love to see a house tour!
@MyAriaWeb I'll try to get one posted for my holiday prep series
@alleebabii18 I generally don't even go to the mall at all between now and a couple weeks after Christmas. I don't like the crowds. So, no Black Friday shopping for me
I love your cute owl plates! I would love to see your Thanksgiving gathering set up and see how you decorate for Christmas :)
Great video! The clean up is the worst part... Good idea. I am so bummed I couldn't find those Halloween oreos. We love your long videos.
@organizedlikejen Oooh ok (: Well I'd definitely be interested in seeing a "stocking video" like what you were talking about doing in your wrapping paper haul, or some time of video about your Christmas gift shopping (without disclosing too much of course) I just love your videos! Especially around the holidays (:
Just found your videos. I love them ! Your house is beautiful, and you have great decorating ideas ! Can't wait to see more tours : )
As soon as your videos start, I immediately click the 'like' botton. That pumpkin cookie jar is ADORABLE! Your process is very practicle and sensible, makes things very easy to manage but it's still a lot of work, I see! You're an excellent organizer.Loved this video, more please!!!
I just wanted to say thank you for making videos! I'm only 19 years old and I have been a dedicated viewer since you started your videos b/c they inspire me to one day be such a good wife and a better organized individual! I was wondering if you don't mind maybe doing more cooking videos? I'm trying to become a better cook and I know your recipes would be very helpful even if it's just the basics! For example a sugar cookie recipe or an easy dinner to do during the week!
Thank you :)
I love your makeup...Yes please do a mini thanksgiving tour!!!!!
i love how far you've come, Jen. I wish you the best in your new life endeavor. Thank you for all your content.
@alexandpaula06 Distilled white vinegar diluted in a large bucket of water.
@voguee2 She's my favorite character from that show, if you couldn't have guessed that!
Great video Jen, you inspire me to get on the ball!!! By the way, I love the blue eye shadow, it suits you nicely :)
Yes a thanksgiving house tour please!
I love your videos, I'm quite organised however not as much as you of course! But you inspire me to become more organised especially for school :)
before you even finished saying it i went straight down to the comment box. i would LOVE if you could do a thanksgiving house tour!
Great Job girl..... proud of you
@southerncouponista Filofax got pushed aside for more pressing matters...I'm desperate to get it finished tho so I can stop using quite so many post-it notes in its place!
Hi Jen, How Do You Organize For Christmas Gifts? Please make a video if you have tips, thanks a lot!!!
@divaesquire14 Yes
I love the Thanksgiving decorations you have out so far. Those owl dishes are so adorable. Can't wait for the Turkey Day tour! Oh, how is your Filofax set-up coming along? I'm still super excited for that video :)
Hi Jen ! Happy Thanksgiving I would like to see a grocery haul. Someday if you have time.
@MsKellydean You're the hostess, you get to decide! Go with your gut instinct and it will all work out :)
@lilmakeovergirl I'll give it a try!

With all the stress (even though you have so much help I know Thanksgiving day can still be stressful) will you have enough energy to go Black Friday Shopping??? Lol (: I think if you do go out to the stores you should definitely post a follow up video (: Loved this planning video by the way (:

@Lanicali94086 Amazon
Sorry if this is a personal question, but i've been watching your videos since you very first started and have noticed that you always talk about your husbands side of the family but never about your own parents or any brothers or sisters you have. Do they live far away from you?
you remind me of Charlotte from Sex in the City
can you speeded it up the video for me
31 minutes , im flipping the shit .
why do you have an office? you dont work!
