Six years later this video is still getting me inspired and geared up for Fall!!!!
I agree with Ronda. This is the what You Tube is meant to be. I never understand the people that post negatively about those trying to share their lives, interests, hobbies, goals, etc. We're all different ,if something isn't for me, I generally give it a thumbs up and move on. Thumbs up for taking the time, getting off the couch and actually posting deserves something for the effort.
With Jen, the effort is obviously huge. She cares about her viewers and I enjoy her immensely. Great job!

i really miss the seasonal decorating vlogs! Even if the decorating stays the same, it still puts me in the mood! I find myself rewatching old ones.
I'm not ashamed to admit I wait all year for this...for like...the past three years.

This came at just the right time since I'm taking my fall stuff out next week. This will help when its time to unpack and pack! Your videos have help me make such a big change in my life. I even have a basket in my kitchen now for my "stuff" I use at the kitchen table (like my ipad, management book, lotion, etc). The table that we are now sitting at and actually eating at for the first time in years!

She did mention several times in her video that she got most of these things over the years. She actually does a great job collecting, storing her seasonal decorations and reusing them instead of throwing them away and buying new things each year!

I could never be this organized, because we simply have a small home..and hardly any storage areas (no cellar, no basement, no attic)...basically closets and that never enough! The Owl teapot was SO cute! My mother collects teapots and one like this would be a great addition to her ever expanding collection.
It's 2014 and I'd never get tired of seeing an update although it's pretty unchanged year to year. Maybe more vlog style? You were the first house tour for all seasons I had encountered 2 years ago and look at the RUclips community now! It's buzzing with fall, but I miss you!

I have a similar coffee table...change for seasons also. Pretty place to lay in special cards. I save cards from years ago that I bring out...lovely reminders of the past.Also place some special baby plates and so on.
We all do enjoy seeing the "process". Do more of these. Thanks.

Woo Hoo! Decor videos are always my favorite! I love the changes in seasons & especially changes in seasonal decor! You make your home so festive & welcoming to all that enter. It's a lot of extra work but I think it's worth it. My seasonal decor is on a smaller scale (except Christmas) but I think family & friends appreciate & enjoy the special touches enriching each season/holiday. TFS your process & inspiration. (We had 90 degrees this week but I just need to get out the fall decor anyway!)

I too liked the xl ziploc bags to store the wreaths. I normally swap out summer for fall this week however I am moving 175 miles away. TFS

It was interesting to see your process. I like your idea of labeling bins per room. I am the kind of person who changes things every year for each season because I really like the creative outlet it gives me so that type of labeling doesn't work for me - but it is very systematic and practical! I am still working on figuring out what works for me - right now it's more by category (lights, pumpkins, ect) =).

You could use the battery ran candles for your owls. Thats what we use as not to burn things down or ruin things. We even use them in our pumpkins on the porch. Your house is beautiful!

I like that your bins all match. Since being married, our decorations have grown and then I would go buy another bin but the ones I bought previously would be out of stock. UGH!
I save those big bags(like the ones you store your seasonal pillows in) from comforters, blankets, etc. They are great!!!
Wow, those bags for your wreaths, etc....love them!!!!!! Will have to try to find some of them!! Are they reusable? ooh, and love the seasonal candle storage. So smart to keep those crates!!!
What a great decor piece you have with the coffee table!!!! Love that homemade owl quilt!!! The polka dots on the other side is sweet!!
Another great idea you have is the shelves that you change the decor per season!!! The mugs on the stand in the kitchen are darling!!!!

Love! btw, you can also fill your forming hand soap dispenser up half way with regular liquid hand soap and the other half with with water and give it a good shake and it works great.
Meanwhile it's September and I still have Easter decorations up.

Jen, I would love a video on the Elfa system--How you know what to buy for what type of space, how it is installed, how you use yours in the various rooms of your house, etc. It seems like a great system for storage and I was considering purchasing it sometime in the future! And I love how you organize your seasonal decorations! :)

Please do more of these videos and share more ideas on your thought process of setting up for holidays and purchasing items to display like you have. I have small fall collection (1 bin) haha! Pier one has some really nice owl decorated and Halloween motifs candles...on timers. I put them around and set the timer..adds a lot of atmosphere to the rooms. Also have them for Christmas...my new favorite things. No burning candles to worry about...check them out.
