Loved this tour! You are so blessed to have such generous in-laws, and to be able to travel to their home with your hubby and your little buddy Winnie! Likewise they are blessed to have you for a daughter-in-law, and who wouldn't love having you decorate or organize for them!!! Does your mother-in-law like to shop with you? The nativity upstairs is cute as well. But I love the kokopelli and the tapestry above the Christmas tree. Their home is decorated so nicely.....it looks like they possibly have some Stickley pieces which I adore! You did such a great job Jen. I bet it's so nice for your in-laws to come to their Utah home and have it all decorated. I'm sure the whole family has a great time together during your Christmas week there!

Brill idea to store by room, my things are in boxes by type which means rummaging through everything to find what your looking for - will def be changing to your way. @uglybobswife Pictures in a planner is a great idea...I used to do something similar with my bear collection when I used to set them up for the holidays. Now they're in storage though because I need all of the room I have for my ever expanding book collection!
@sparklequeen101 Those MS houses/buildings were from Macy's several years ago. They were part of a seasonal collection. I don't think that they carry the same items every year.
Your idea to store by room is great!! But I'd like to change some things every year..... hmmm?? I had to think about it. Like the style of this house very much, it reminds me a lot of skiing vacations in austria.
Great video! I'm Jewish and my fiance is Catholic, so we like to keep things more winter-like when it comes to decorating. I like to turn the house into a blue, white and gold winter wonderland. We each have a miniature tree - mine is white with blue, silver and gold ornaments, and my fiance has a green tree with red, green and gold ornaments. :)

I love the decorations, it's making me so excited to decorate my own little house!!! I love all the beautiful natural wood! Have you looked at ceramic christmas villages? I have a lovely one that has gotten huge over the years.
I have a ton of Christmas decorations. I store them in plastic bins (all shapes, sizes and colors of bins, lol!) I mostly put like items together, ie Santas, garlands, angels, etc. I'm giving some thought to packing stuff away by room this year. We'll see. :-)
Jen, I came across this Christmas video this morning because I want to get some tips for my home this Christmas and I thought I would share an idea with you. I think you should put those dining room chair covers over the chairs or a giant red bow or gold bow around it to give an extra touch. I actually did it ours and it does look very elegant and classy. Just a thought. You did a fantastic job and I bet your inlaws are very happy.
I agree with whoever said your M-I-L was blessed to have you come decorate the Utah vacation house, The house is so beautiful, as is, but after you got threw decorating it for Christmas it's heavenly! I had a Daughter-in-law like you, She helped me with anything and everything I needed help with, But she left my son for another man ;( and they divorced, But she didn't Divorce me, she will always be my DAUGHTER, and no one will ever be able to take her place in my heart! You can come decorate for me ANYTIME ! I'm not hating, but was there still one spot up at the top of the tree that the light's wasn't working or is it just me, Stuff like that drives me nuts....LOL Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you and yours, and to all your viewers as well !!
And I forgot to mention how sweet it was of you to not only decorate the house, but to go buy more stuff, the garland and whatever else you may of bought for the house, I understand it's a Family Vacation Home, and you use it a lot, BUT not many people would use their own money to decorate someone else's home, That tells me so much about what kind of person you are, Yes, I know you do a lot of give a ways on your cannels, But to BUY for your Mother In Law is super SWEET of you ! Also I noticed you said Don helped you carry the bin's to each room, isn't it wonderful to just get away with your hubby and even Winnie sometimes ! I look forward to time that Hubby and I can get a way even if it's just for a weekend!

@maquiavela So your question was removed before I had a chance to reply, but I wanted to let you know that Don & I are very close with both sets of parents and spend a lot of time with both. They both live very close to us. It's Don's parents, however, who own the 2nd house in Utah, so that's why you see videos from there talking about them. I like to keep my family's lives as private as possible.
@elisam34 My in-laws have a train room they designed for the newly renovated basement. We haven't set it up yet, but once we do I'm sure there will be Christmas Village elements for the holidays!

every year we have 4-5 trees in my house in the loft we have a candy tree that my nmom puts candy canes and nerdsropes on and in the main floor living room there is our fourteen foot tall christmas tree that we buy every year at the same christmas tree lot(its real) and my moms side of the family is irish so we have an irish tree and in the basement I have my own seven foot white tree filled with pink ornaments:) I love christmas time
