    I plan to make my own relocation bracket because the prices are ridiculous for this stuff. I can't imagine it would be all that difficult. I think it looks great and clears up your view.

      The autometer clamp isn't very expensive at $17 + free shipping from Amazon. Easy $17, but if you have the ability to make your own, more power to ya! :)

      BLOCKHEAD Daaanngg! I haven't seen one that cheap lol. Maybe I'll get one after all!

    I have this on my Iron. No doubt it looks incredible. Takes away a constant distraction, makes me instinctively know my speed, and I've never looked at a tach. Knowing my turn signal cancelled is the only thing I check for.

    It's crazy how everything quickly adds up hey. Top mod there mate, I couldn't do this on my old sporty because I had the 17lt tank and wouldn't be able to read it.

  • @TexRider
    @TexRider 7 лет назад +3

    I would find it strange down there on the side but hey why not . My sporty is a 1200 C so the speedo is lower under the bar kinda .... Take Care

    I like it. Drag bars would look sick. It's what I have on my breakout. I love it.

    It does clean up that look. I agree, new bars could be in order. Speedometer is preference as long as it doesn't affect your riding do that shit dude!

    That is a nice clean look but I think I would have got the Speedo mount from a 48, I would miss the speedo being in the middle to much

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto  7 лет назад +1

      Speedo mount from the 48 doesn't transfer directly over, researched that for quite awhile. It's a rather lengthy retrofit if I recall correctly. Easiest way to get that look is to go w/ the Roland Sands gauge mount, but that was rather pricey! So opted for side mount :)

    • @tomisham9900
      @tomisham9900 7 лет назад

      I forgot you have to grind a lot from the back to fit those and thats why I didn't go that route.

    with the fp3 tuner i notice that i had to go through multiple heat ranges to get a good tune , try auto tuning for 600 miles or so...... cycle gear on colonial has some Built winter gloves for $20 saves my ass on those chilly nights , and they are water resistant!

    I have just relocated the speedo but I need to splice as the 2016 883 cables are too short at the split... it looks ace tho with drag bars, short shots, it’s the mutts... sounds awesome too 👌🏻

    Love your DIY version. All about saving that money, Did you ever figure out a way to extend the bracket more to see it a little better so you didn't have to lean over to see it? I want to do this but having it in sight while sitting natural would be a must for me. Love all of your vids!
    Thanks!!

    So I ordered the same side mount bracket and my guage lights don't fit at all, they're way to short.

  • @deckerhand12
    @deckerhand12 7 лет назад +3

    The speedo looks cool, but I wouldn't put mine there. Do to the fact your looking down and left. You tend to lean where your looking. But that's just my view.

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto  7 лет назад +1

      This was a consideration when riding after, but have found that you really don't lean at all, just tilt head slightly to the left to see where the needles at, only need a quick glance. Slowly getting used to it.

    • @deckerhand12
      @deckerhand12 7 лет назад

      BLOCKHEAD as long as your not targeting where your looking that's good

    Isn't that speedo location set up for caffe style bars? It is trick though .

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto  7 лет назад +1

      I've seen speedos setup mid center but more laid down and on the side for cafe style bikes, so I suppose it's up to you, whatever your preference. The bars aren't really close to it, closest thing to it is the front fork whenever turning all the way to the left, but there's like 1/2" of clearance, so all good there.

    • @KnuckleUpFightClub
      @KnuckleUpFightClub 7 лет назад

      Right on .... that's what it's all about making it your style !

    • @BlockheadMoto

      Didn’t normally have to look at it bc you pick up a feel for how fast you’re going. I’d barely have to glance over to see it though.

    I really want to do that to my bike but not sure if I can? I do have a 2015 Sportster XL 1200C

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto  7 лет назад

      More than likely you can, but I'm not 100% sure how on that model. As it's a Sportster, I'm sure it's similar. I just uploaded a "How To" video here if you'd like to check it out: ruclips.net/video/pJX3tqikN28/видео.html
      Best of luck!

    • @_lowcountry

      Frank Muniz I did it on my 2016 xl1200c. It requires more work because the speedo mount is part of the risers so I ditched the ugly ass stock risers and put on some biltwell trio risers instead. The idiot lights on the 1200c don't fit on any of the clamps or speedo mounts though so you'll need to change to the other sportster idiot lights. I just kept the stock ones and zip tied them to the bottom of the speedo mount for now until I get a new riser top clamp and new lights. Hope that helps
