    I never take the screws out all the way. I use them as handles to move the panel around and I don’t have to put them back in when I screw the panel on. I stick that middle screw through into the original hole, screw it in a little. Then screw the rest in while that holds it up and you can line it up really well. I never unhook the wires from the board when I change a pump. I wire it on the pump. Those tabs on the board love to break and then you have to solder the wire to the board. Looks like a jacuzzi. The ones like that have no room at all. Their modern 48 frame 341, 343 w the mount does fit in all their tubs other than the Windchester that I ever found. That’s one only sold by Costco for a couple years like 03-05 so pretty rare. Some tubs you have to take off the rubber feet and screw the mount down. I have my certain ways of doing stuff though and I like seeing how other people do it. I took the screws out like that for years until I saw my manager at my job now leave them in and I thought how weird I never thought of it in 10 years of working on pools and hot tubs. When I worked for another company they did the same thing too until I showed them

    This video is perfect for helping me remove the motor and pump in my jacuzzi which is over 10 years old. I see that it appears to be leaking from a seal and think I should replace all the seals and bearings while it’s out. I live in Arizona in the east valley and you mention that you use outsources for the motor rebuilding. Would you be able to recommend one for someone such as myself who is a walk-in/non contractor?
    Thanks for putting your videos up to help with these kinds of projects. They are super helpful

    Do I have to drain the spa first? Need to remove 3 pumps so procedure should be the same or similar for all three correct?

    • @spaman5440

      I would drain out all the water and use a shop vac and suck out all of the water even the water in all the lines . Then do the R-R on the pumps and motors. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    I’m replacing an old one pump unit with a new 2 pump system. With only one set of plumbing to the tub, what is the diagram for 2 pumps plumbing?

    Excellent... Do you think the Waterway 56 series pumps change their fit size for replacement? Mine is a 2016 and I was hoping just to replace it straight up. Not sure of the cost to rebuild... Also the motor is on the opposite side of the swim spa control panel. Can I just use the old wiring and connect it inside the new pump or is that too much to take on? Thx

    I can see you do not use the slide valve for closing the pipe from water. In stead of that you are pumping out the water from the hottub before changing the pump. Is there a reason for? As I do like to change the pump as well but prefer to keep the water in de hot tub. Thanks in advance!

    What causes for a motor to go bad? My hums like if it wants to turn on but doesn't. I have to do it manually with my hand then it works well but once I turn it off it hums again so gotta keep doing it with hand.

    • @spaman5440

      Several things can do that ... tired bearings , Seals warn out , something stuck in the impeller , Capacitor warn out.. and a Pump and motor that is over 5 to 7 years old...I would not keep starting it by hand or you are going to burn it up and it will not be able to be Rebuilt and you will have to buy a new one...I like to have the pump and motor reconditions to like new condition.. Most RC are better then new... Hope this Helps Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    Great video. Do you use any kind of “sealer” on the threads of the PVC 3” nuts which attach to pump wet head? I saw one RUclips video that recommended it but can’t remember the name or the video. Thanks!

    I’m going to ask a stupid question. There’s no water in the tub, the tub accidentally gets turned on numerous times in the coarse of a couple of weeks , what damage did I do to the hot tub?

    • @saylormdx2
      @saylormdx2 Год назад

      Running dry can result in excessive heat inside the moving parts of the wet side, resulting in warped parts. If it is quiet and with no leaks don't worry.

    • @bulshavix6
      @bulshavix6 7 месяцев назад

      I have seen some get hot and the impeller warp in a day. I have also been to tubs that have been empty for 10 years, they never turned off the breaker and everything was fine. I never know what I’m going to find until I see it
