Absolutely love the 2014 Godzilla and NECA did a decent job with their 1st release and a better one with the reissues. So crazy that this movie is gonna be 10 yrs old next year. It only feels like it was yesterday that I was experiencing an amazing film that introduced the new staple of American Godzilla films that would continue for a decade. Feelin so nostalgic for 2014. I will always love this version of Godzilla.
Yeah NECA only seemed to improve with time, with some hiccups, sure. Makes me wonder how much further they would’ve gone had they kept things moving. Godzilla 2014 turning 10 is a birthday I’m 100% not ready for lol But thankfully I’ll have a decent sort of content ready for GareGoji’s 10th 👀
Ngl, I wish that the recolours actually had new retools. It was a huge missed oppurtunity to make G14 even better. V1 the base, V2 the prototype, V3 the remake. Neca had introduced ball tail joints and hips that can actually spread out is something I wish they incorporated into the V3 at least. But overral, great figures either way and nostalgic ones at that.
The poster box version definitely sweeps here. I have what I think is the original release, my only real complaint is that I wish the jaw could open more. But the rest of the figure is really solid still despite that I think. It might be my favorite of the Neca Godzilla (that I own at least).
He’s the broom of the trio, for sure! Yeah the mouth always seemed a bit restrictive, amongst other things. Kinda wish the thighs moved out a bit more, but regardless, so nice I bought it thrice lol Wish we got that heat ray version though. Sheeesh.
While you can't beat the Monsterarts with articulation, theres no doubt this guy is more screen accurate. Still, good on Yuji for using promo pics to sculpt a figure.
Yeah I gotta give the guy credit, he killed it with what he had. Hopefully, one day, they’ll get a SAversion out for the sake of it. Really why I’m hoping that Apple TV show is going to use the GareGoji design instead of the KotmGoji. More 2014 merch. Need. It might not be SHMA, but a damn good alternative!
The third one sorta looks like the one I gave my sister but I still don't know. I've been waiting for it to be customized, and the articulation according to her, was soo smooth. Plus she got him in really funny poses.
@@ShinRobjira if they did, here are some improvements that they would have to make. 1. Better articulation ( Ex. Double jointed elbows and knees , bicep swivel, and chest and waist ball joints.) 2. More accessories 3. Less bendy wire. 4. Decrease tighter joints.
Indeed, great on it's own merits. My V2 & V3 have their issues, but it's hardly close to the wild wonk eye and bloody nose SHMA had with the first release lol
@@ShinRobjiraI was also one of those who didn't like Legendary at first. I was a 98 Godzilla fan at the time this was being advertised. Legendary took time to grow on me, same with Shin. Now I think the chunkier boy is Space Godzilla.

I only got the 14inch tall neca 2014 with the voice feature. Preordered the new hiya 2021 remake so that will be nice to comapre to.

My first ever Neca Godzilla was the Burning Godzilla. Also my first Godzilla figure that wasn't threadmasters 98 Goji.
I love this figure because I went to see the movie with my parents in 2014, that same Christmas I got 2014 Godzilla!!

My neca 2014 v1 has a smudged yellow paint bellow it's eye, it's been like that since I bought it didn't bother me much and the figure is great
