    BB JAMS
    Some shooters may be using cheap BBs or BBs off the ground. Please don't do either one.
    DON'T SLINGSHOT THE SLIDE. That is sinful to most firearm trainers. It is rough on real all-metal guns, and it applies to this Crosman. Please rack the slide as shown in video.
    Let me be clear once more - I have not had any malfunctions with this Crosman pistol. The 45 has many improvements over the Daisy 340.
    I first used great lube for the slide joints. Though you don't have to use FP-10. 30 SAE ND in a dropper is fine.
    I cock the gun properly - therefore smoothly loading the BB. I chose RIGHT AWAY to go with elite BBs here - better made, more uniform - and Black Diamond and Black Widow both shoot great. NO MALFUNCTIONS. The Widows are actually more accurate, meaning more hits in a string, but the Diamonds group TIGHTER when they hit and with more penetration on pop cans. The Diamonds are king at 4 to 5 yards or closer. The Widows rule at 6 and even 8 yards.

      Sir, I will post PART 2 soon. You and one other shooter got me excited to try this pistol. Just one issue to watch out for DON'T SLING SHOT THE SLIDE. Ride it home with your hand.
      That is likely how your gun broke down. Sling shotting breaks plastic parts inside.

    I've watched Way too many of your videos, dude! I watch a video and buy a gun. Rinse and repeat. Thank you! Quick question though, especially on the carnival guns. How do you decide what lube to use? On the PSM45 and 1018 you're recommending FP-10 (I've got all the lubes you talk about too. Yeah, I know.) but for the DX17, you used Ballistol. Why? What's the difference? How do you choose what to use besides the manual?

    • @daisy880fanaticfixit9
      @daisy880fanaticfixit9  3 года назад

      Glad you like the channel! FP-10 can be a touch intense for the power plant, even if Pyramyd Air has it airgun rated. The gunshop that introduced me to it, said it isnt needed for airguns, but would be superior for grinding parts OUTSIDE the power plant.
      Shooters Choice told me DIRECTLY it isnt ENGINEERED for airgun seals. It works, but it smoked BADLY in 25 that is bigger power plant then the carnival pistols.
      For overall lubing in the marksman types - the DX-17 and 1018 - 30 SAE ND or general 30 lubricating oil is fine. Ballistol my favorite choice here.
      www.walmart.com/ip/Super-Tech-Non-Detergent-SAE-30W-Lubricating-Oil-1-Quart/52626201
      🌟For the pump guns, I WIPE DOWN with Ballistol and use 30 SAE ND for joints and seals.🌟
      For 25 and Ryder types, for triggers, seals, AND wipe down, I use Ballistol.
      For more clarity, Ballistol is safe for wipe down and lubing of little spring rifles and pistols.

    Very good video my friend. The safety looks good to me it is a positive engagement that is what you want in a safety system. With the proper technique that you showed you can cock just about any gun. I have this gun on my amazon wish list. Keep up the great work!!

    Здравствуй друг. Плохо понял перевод. Для того что бы crosman 45 нормально работал надо-Достав из коробки его перед началом стрельбы смазать весь? Только потом начать стрелять?

      @daisy880fanaticfixit9  2 года назад +1

      Друг мой, прошу прощения за плохой перевод Google. Я приложу все усилия к русскому языку.
      Нет, базовая смазка не самое главное для хорошей работы psm45.
      Не стреляйте как из рогатки - катайтесь сверху вручную. Используйте отличные BB, такие как Black Widow или Black Diamond. Правильное обращение и отличные боеприпасы сделают ваш PSM45 долговечным и хорошим стрелком.

    Do you think Daisy340 magazine could be fit into PSM45 ?

    • @daisy880fanaticfixit9
      @daisy880fanaticfixit9  11 месяцев назад +1

      Sabrina, great question!
      No, it will not, AND you wouldn't want it to fit. Daisy needs to copy the Crosman design.
      The Crosman design focuses on reliable loading. Folks try and correct me that the 340 feeder holds 14 BBs. NOT RELIABLY. The extra pressure from the spring pops BBs out into the gun, causing a jam. I learned to go only 4 or 5 BBs in the 340 feeder.

      cause I've experienced years ago the all metal built version in a junkyard lots of fun as a kid
      The plastic one is a real deception looking many RUclipss....
      I'll try Dasy 340 for it's huge mag, and on it's way by mail the psm45 after viewing your YT clip.

      Yeah, RUN from the 1018. Nightmare trigger, and please see this video:
      ruclips.net/video/O34bFk5qUns/видео.html
      The psm45 is harder to cock in the beginning. Keep on it, and it eases in about 60 shots. It has a better trigger than the 340, and my Crosman has not had one jam.
      The 340 uses a torsion spring to return the blade. The psm45 uses a proper compression spring for the blade.
      New BBs only - Black Diamond.

      This just happened TODAY!
      USE ANY BB BRAND?
      I recently tried two other BB types outside of Black Widows and Black Diamonds.
      Zinc Umarex gave me my FIRST feed jam since owning the gun. A few came loose inside the gun. They are normally good BBs, but this loading system is touchy. So NO on Zinc Umarex.
      Daisy Match did great! No jams and very accurate, just like Black Diamond.

    • @daisy880fanaticfixit9
      @daisy880fanaticfixit9  3 года назад +1

      The psm45 is better engineered. I'm sitting at around 1700+ shots WITH NO MALFUNCTIONS.
      I don't sling shot. I ride the slide home.
      I use only Ballistol for total care.
      Black Widow or Black Diamond BBs.
      The 340 needs, now, to borrow from Crosman. Copy the feeding system, but keep the big well of BBs. Just separate them.
      Just copying the Crosman feeding system would solve many of the basic jams. I have 9,000 shots on 340 platform, and I had to deal with feeding jams the whole way, every shooting session.
      The weight of the psm45 is well balanced. I had some say the Weight does not matter - which is IGNORANT of spring guns and harmonics. The weight is there (unlike 340) and well balanced.
      The trigger uses a soft compression spring, like Crosman pump guns. The psm45 balance and trigger action put it over the 340 as a shooter.

    • @daisy880fanaticfixit9
      @daisy880fanaticfixit9  2 года назад

      @@rickeybullington6314 Rickey here are key points psm45 vs 340:
      ▶️ Magazine - the gum stick method of 340 is hard on the retaining prongs. It leads to break down and BBs fly out the top. When it gets bad enough, a BB shoots out into the air right after loading feeder. Then it does it again once inside gun. That causes basic MISFEED jam, and gun won't cock.
      The psm45 has basic feeder with soft spring, better prong design. Yes, there is no BB well, but the GUN SHOOTS RELIABLY.
      ▶️ Trigger - the Crosman uses and soft compression spring that has a nice sear release.
      The 340 uses a stiff torsion spring under the hammer (that also can and does break). The trigger pull and sear release is noticeably stiffer. Lubing with thick lube like 30 SAE ND does help. Cock the hammer then lube it's base.
      ▶️ Hammer - the Crosman has no hammer which puts less stress on the post that holds the mainspring.
      On the 340 I dry fired the hammer hundreds of times on the first 2 and each post broke around 2000 shots. One gent claimed he dry fired and it went 3000. Ok, I STOPPED dry firing the hammer on 3rd one, and it went 5,000 shots. When the gun is cocked it trips a lever that slows the hammer, less IMPACT.
      I am considering buying a 4th 340 and trying out new ideas to keep it reliable and stop the post breaking. I got THREE 340s for $30 in the past. I can't get that price now.

    NO DRY FIRE!
    Some have asked if they can fire this gun with out BBs.
    Please get a toy gun if you want to do that! The PSM45 can suffer a fractured piston tube if you do that move. If a BB is not present in the breech to SLOW THE PISTON, uneeded force slams forward on to the plastic tube wall.
    Many Daisy 340s have given up the ghost (broke) this way.

      No, great question. In fact the most important thing is proper handling. And great BBs. I have other videos on not breaking it. Don't sling shot. Watch those videos and Libra7 links.
      I'm working on another psm45 video on general care and clearing breech jam - without taking it apart.
      I like Ballistol for total care now for this and other small spring guns.

    • @daisy880fanaticfixit9
      @daisy880fanaticfixit9  3 года назад +2

      Sir, it depends on your 45 situation. If the spring is set, after 5,000 or more BBs, you are simply dissecting it for look inside.
      2 pins do need to be punched FROM RIGHT to Left, removed left side. One on the bottom near the pictanny rail. And a small pin in the butt plate in back so the plate comes off and you have clearance for the post in back.
      If you feel you need to remove slide to lube, that isn't necessary. Just go through the magazine cavity.
      The hard sights on the gun are good for a BB gun. Point sight not needed. A flashlight on rail is all you need for night shooting.
