I wish we could get a "Hey, I stomped around in these boots for 6 months straight and these are my observations" type of review. Showing these fresh out of the box doesn't demonstrate their true comfort, utility and worthiness.
I have theas shoes and I'm on my feet for 8 to 9 hrs 5 days a week. I have had them for a year and a hafe and will be getting another pair. I had foot surgery 2 years ago and I really like theas shoes for work .
Wow, thats awesome. Apologies for not responding sooner to your comments about the experience you had in this shoe. How's your foot since having the surgery?
Hey Andrew, thanks for commenting again sorry we didn't respond to your point about running in the Anacapa. Short answer is no. They are not designed to be ran in. Cheers mate.
Hi, nice review mate, seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. One thing I'm still struggling with is the sizing. Usually with running shoes you add 1,5cm to your foot size to find the right sizing per brand. Does this apply here also? I"m normally US size 10,5 EUR size 44,5 with a footlength of 28,5cm - according to some websites I should get size 46 in these. What do you reckon? Cheers!
Hi there and thanks for getting involved with our review. Hoka US sizing is pretty true to other big shoe brand US sizing. If you have a pair of trainers fitted with the correct amount of toe room, the same US size in these should be ok. One small factor that would be worth noting here is that a Gore-Tex lined shoe often feels a tiny bit snugger than the same shoe in a non Gore-Tex version. That said, we do not think that this justifies going up s size in the Hoka Anacapa. Please let us know your experience with this shoe when you get a pair. Cheers, Footpro
Hi Clayton and apologies for the late reply. The Hoka Anacapa's look pretty different to that Lowa boot you mentioned. We don't stock Lowa or have too many hardcore Hiking shops near Footpro which means we have no first hand experience with them. The Lowa's look like a traditional rigid sole and very structured boot. The Hoka's are considerably lighter and more cushioned. These two boots don't compare that much and would most likely suit different people wanting different attributes from their hiking boots. We hope that info helps mate. Cheers.
Hey Andrew. They are very lightweight for a hiking shoe. We would not however recommend them as a running shoe. Although, they would be very suited to a life saving sprint while being chased by an angry Emu or Brown Snake. ;)
Hi Jonny and thanks for commenting. We approach a review like this highlighting what we like about the product which backs up our reasoning for having it in our shoe range at our shop. I personally do not have my own pair of these and was not able to take a pair from our stock as they were in limited supply. Thanks again for engaging with the Footpro channel. Cheers.
Hi Cindi. Thanks for the message. A very good option that will help with comfort and walking post surgery would be a wide fitting shoe from the brand we featured in this video. Not the Mid high boot in this video, but another model of Hoka called the Hoka Bondi 8. It is available in a wide fit and features a very stable and cushioned feel. Most importantly they also feature what is called 'Rockered Soles' that significantly assist you to stride from heel to toe, even with very stiff ankles and limited ankle flexion. Below is link to this product. They are in-stock in Black / White if you would like to purchase a pair. Also, in this case we would be happy to offer free Express Post should you require them ASAP. Hopefully this info is helpful for you. Regards, Footpro. footpro.com.au/collections/road-running/products/hoka-bondi-8-wide-womens
Hi there. Thanks for the message. That is the first time we have heard that happening. Very weird. The shop you purchased them from would be able to rectify that for you.
Hi there and thanks for the message. A Rocker bottomed shoe like a Hoka Bondi 8, Clifton 8 or a New Balance More V4 would all be good options. The Hoka Anacapa we reviewed here may be a great option too, however you would need to see how sensitive the Achilles is to the pressure of a mid-cut boot design. Hope that helps. Please keep messaging us for more info about this or to help answer any other questions you have.

Hey Paul and thanks mate for taking the time to add your comments. We appreciate that. Cheers, Simon
Just got a pair of these, very comfortable but definitely not waterproof, left water in after about 20 minutes of walking in realitivly light rain.

I heard these are for running also. Or can be used for running.

@@Footpro_Australia You were right on the money, my usual size fits perfectly. Cheers !
I like the color.
So did we.
Mine are definitely NOT waterproof. It started raining for about 40 minutes and both shoes let water in. They are comfy.
How do these compare up against the Lowa Renegade Gtx Mid Gore-Tex Hiking Boot?

Get them? $170.00 is a hefty price. Are they worth it? Lightweight makes them worth it I would conclude.

I like the Anacapa Breeze Mid a bit more. This looks identical to that one.
Yes, they are very similar shoes. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment or two. Cheers
how about the durability compare to salomon?
Hey mate. Durability was pretty good. Due the Max Cushioning midsole design, they will wear out sooner than a solid midsole boot.
Why didn’t you put them on
