He recognized he could do a much more complex, melodic bass line by recording bass later in the process, so he could make the bass sorta dance around the other music already laid down. They were coming up with everything that is now pretty common in the studio, but sure wasn't then. i'll call it, he's a musical genius.
Wings had a unique sound. Denny and Linda's vocals are not talked about enough. They sing brilliantly with Paul - the harmonizing is just the best! I really wish Paul kept Wings together in the 80s - they would have done amazing things! Maybe Linda just was done with it. Can't really blame her. She had 4 kids + one big kid in Paul. She probably was sick of the touring.
@jimidee33 What you have here deserves more views. It is good quality and of course interesting. I have seen various parts of "One Hand Clapping" on other uploads. Good job! I can always watch Paul. Thanks for posting.
Now that you mentioned it. Yeah, this would have been twice as good if the cameramen panned back. Lots of great stuff going on here. But I'm still blow away by the performance. And Less than 15,000 hits??? I don't get it.
No, the tapes that were stolen were Paul's demos for the songs to be recorded as Band on the Run. He had to remember all the songs and recreate them in the studio. Pretty amazing.

Doesn’t sound like Paul’s voice. I got some George Harrison sounding voice here at times when he was speaking. Weird! And his voice is a much heavier accented voice now which is also weird.
I can’t believe God packed so much talent and love into one man. He went after it and had a beautiful second act.
Listen to the whole album over the weekend. It's fire!!! Paul vocals are insane. What a talent!!!
I'm loving this album that's just now been released!
the kick drum sounds amazing.
My Mr's uncle Geoffrey Britton on drums still going....
@@seanfarmer222 nice one
o gotta say Paul is one helluva bass player...

There will never be another Paul.

"they would have done..." 😅😅😅
And to think that she always got the stick in the press for being out of tune or a pseudo-musician!
F*** the critics…!!!
Paul McCartney is something great 👍🏻
Thanks so much for uploading this beauty...
God, like so many videos back then , the almost constant extreme closeups!
Very close to what I imagine the Beatles sounding like in the mid-70s.
Holy moly, McCulloch doesn't even look his 21 years in this. He looks about 16 or 17.

If there was ever a true love story it was Paul and Linda
@jimidee33 I dont know. I need to upload the other parts, I just need a dvd burner, lol
Is this ripped from the 2010 Band on the Run DVD?
Are the audio tapes the ones that were stolen from Paul when he was mugged on his way home the studio in S. Africa?
Lagos Nigeria. But don't know.
No, that was another story

JohnMarstn This tune was on Band on the Run LP

Is this from the officially-released DVD?
Strange, sounds like Goerge Harrison rather than Paul talking there towards the end about liking to work with a small band and by himself.
I will never understand the lyrics
What is the second song?

The original paul died and was replaced in late 1966.
