Maybe an unpopular opinion: The gesture on Blizzard's part is too little too late. How long did Reckful beg to get his account back? He was made an example of by Blizzard. I know hindsight is 20/20, but even ignoring that Reckful's life could have been so much different if he hadn't been made an example of, it's insane to think that Reckful was permanently banned for account sharing but people who use bots are not permanently banned, people who took advantage of certain exploits early in BFA (infinite Ivus loot comes to mind) were not permanently banned, and hell, not even the person whose account Reckful played was permanently banned.
Reckful did so much for the game and the community, and Blizzard publicly executed his WoW career for account sharing in a benign way. It's not like he was grinding rating for the guy whose account he played.
Basically, Blizzard banned Reckful to make an example of him, ignored him in the subsequent years of him asking to have his account unbanned, and then try to make the community forget how horribly they treated him by putting a tribute NPC in the game.
My issue is not that the NPC exists; I would be much more upset if Blizzard didn't do this. Rather, my issue is that Blizzard's gesture is too little too late, and they should have never treated Reckful the way they did in the first place.
Blizzard only wanted money, they don't care about their player or even their worker for cried sake they pay them with store mount. The company is toxic ever since Activision in charge.
Maybe now in shadowland they started to listen to their player because how shit BfA actually do in the market. Even then they rush the release on this October, in this state where the game is just unbalance.
There's no way to tell if Byron would have never killed himself because of the ban, that is a very in-sensitive thing to say. Byron was going through depression while he was still playing WoW, his family has a history of mental illness, all we can do is hope he went to a better place. Blaming Blizzard for banning him and making it seem like if they didn't ban him he never would have killed himself is just such a stupid thing to say.
He deserved the ban, it's not relevant whether other people get punished or not. "But you didn't punish him why am I in trouble" is a child's argument, just because punishment isn't distributed fairly doesn't mean you're exempt from it. Don't go blaming Blizzard for this dudes personal issues, good lord.
@@Neurotik51 Bro you know why he even got banned? he was jsut trying out other class from an acount of other person on stream. In my eyes that is way exagerated by blizzard, a couple years ban would be more than enough
@@wolololer preach don’t why people dick riding a company with the history found out in the past few years..
this is still so gut wrenching for me. i wasnt the biggest fan or even a sub but hes always effected me in my wow career, the day he died i had a mental breakdown. I think about you everyday Byron.
lol?
@@nonye0 found the edge lord.
Has anyone pointed out that the wings Reckfuls npc displays when you /love her, are the same wings as when a priest uses Leap of Faith, which is also one of the first things you see in the Reckful 3 video
And his iconic twitch icon. Iconic icon lol
that's a reach.
@@7xXSE7ENXx7 no
@@7xXSE7ENXx7 nah that's what it is
Oh u should have done /love to the npc it does a kiss animation and it gets Wings at the same time
and /wave
lmao the Bean roast at the end was really unexpected and so brutal
Play me the " couldnt count to 17 song " again
"And you lose my family thirty graaaaand!" Hahahahah
This is just surreal.
It's a nice gesture but it's funny how Blizzard only cared after he passed. They showed no remorse when Reckful begged, pleaded and appealed to his ban and even crying over it several times.
Nice gesture but it probably would have been better if they did nothing at all considering they perma-banned him for something minor. Then refusing his plea's to get it unbanned time and time again.
Exactly lol...
100% honestly seems insulting because of how pandering in nature it is. I prefer blizzard being honest and showing they dont give a shit about their community or community icons like how they did with swifty.
yeah i keep laughing at people saying "omg blizzard is back"
lol no, they did this because they knew people would keep bugging them about it until it was done.
Look dude. If they make an exception for one person then it will escalate. He broke the rules regardless of who he was, and its not like blizzard knew he was going to off himself. He was a great guy but WoW wasn't be all end all for him, this community makes it seem sometimes like he killed himself over the game...
Justice Nwokedi he was account sharing on stream, and got the guys character into high rating. That is just a bannable offense no matter who you are, its stated in the TOS which blizzard will always follow, if not and they give this streamer an exception people will get pissed off and do it themselves,
Didn't think I'd tear up
Lmao 🎶and loooose my familyyyyy 30 graaaand🎶
Its nice, but it should also be Ruthless Gladiator Reckful
aw damn the feels ;(
Its nice to see this, but its also kinda sad the fact, trainers don't need to be used anymore, so in a way people won't see him
right in the feels
Cdew gets so happy when they shit on any Warlock. Love it.
Beautiful thing they did
Beautiful thing to perma ban his account then add an npc of him after he past away? Kinda fucked up imho. I'm 100% sure then ban led to Byron's depression if not amplified it.
009LinkWork I don’t agree with you at all. He was able to play on different accounts after the ban anyway but he was done with WoW anyway for his variety streams.
@@009LinkWork The ban did not led to his depression, his brother Guy commiting suicide probably is what started his depression.
@Gal Gaberšček The guy he account shared with is not banned still tho.
they should bring a reckfull r1 titel
I can’t find it
Why is he lvl 49
why is he trash talking Bean??
just some friendly banter?
Chuck please use the influence u have as one of the biggest wow pvp streamers to make blizzard hear us pvpers. We want pvp power and resil back and no more stupid extra shit on arenas. Dont let shadowlands be bfa 2.0
Gracias por el video, y felicidades por tu paternidad =P, give me like cdew =P , saludos desde España.
In a way cdew made reckful sad and depressed after beating him in that tournament where they ran out the clock. He cried on stream about if
thats not why he was depressed.
@@qwertl99 i know thats not why he was depressed. I'm just saying that cdew beating him in that tourney is the reason why he cried on stream. He said he really wanted to win that tournament badly, then cried.
Kass? Classic? Where?
Why is it a female?
He played an undead rogue the longest and his character in game is a human? Ummm
That's because the human female was his original character model, and the one he was the first to reach 3k rated on. People who knew/watched him a long time remember him as that, rather than the undead. It's also the model his character was when he was banned.
@@Freakymonify That is not true, I played with reckful on blackrock server in a guild called "vicious cycle" back in 2007, this was after he was in a guild called Morbo. He could beat almost anyone in duels except for an undead warrior who would sometimes beat him, the warrior's name was "sick" he was from a guild called "nurfed" he did not play with sick in arena but he did play with a shaman named "Gravemind" from the guild called Nurfed. He would also sometimes lose to mage named "Faxmonkey" Faxmonkey was a mage from a guild called Mediocrity, he was famous on our server for doing massive and hard pulls when no other mage could do it. Here is an old video of reckful from back in the day ganking in ironforge ruclips.net/video/57h2zD4LuBM/видео.html . Also, Reckful did not level the rogue, it was given to him by a friend who quit WOW.
@@sevenstacks1973 ruclips.net/video/aU8pOwuqt3k/видео.html
@@Freakymonify Read my initial comment again, I said "He played an undead rogue the longest and his character in game is a human? Ummm" he was human for less than 4 months when he moved to Tichondrius from Blackrock. He was a female bloodelf longer than a female human.
@@sevenstacks1973 It's still the character he's most known to play simply because it's the one he hit 3k rating on. You're the only one to say any different or genuinely have issue with the choice. Not even the people knew him the most/best have mentioned it as an issue.
Also important to remember that this is an ode to his online presence and impact on the community. That moment had the biggest impact for the most amount of people, not just at that specific moment but for the rest of the years until when he died.
:(
They have time to stuff like this but won’t fix bfa bugs and unbalance...
Shutup
Why would they bother fixing the xpac when there's 3 months left? Resources are much better spent getting SL ready
If only Byron himself would be able to see the difference that happend after the tradegy. The massive amount of people who loved him, I can't understand how people are saying the shit they do all he wanted was to make the world better. Will forever be missed in my book ❤️ I hope hes feeling much better now
why is it female?
His character was a female rouge
Please add feedback to bring back PVP secondary stat.. like the old PVP power or resilience. I only want to PVP in SL
I can't like this comment enough! I'm glad they're bringing PvP vendors back but if they don't have pvp power or resi on them and the pve gear is stronger then it's pointless
@@SkipratTTV "make pvp great again". it is bad enough we will have to do "some stuff" outside pvp, which is normal and fine but should be put on the lower side. just need a pvp stat to get the gearing settled
Anything to deprune this squished game
@@zombiejesus7445 mate I wish we could go back to where we didn't have to do any pve, but I get it, it's an mmo, we have to do a little bit, fine, but when pve gear is stronger than pvp gear in a pvp environment, that's what ticks me off
@@SkipratTTV I am trying to go to streamers and have them add the feedback. But not even Bahjerra would listen. Thought he would be a good voice for it
Imagine if they just unbanned him from their dead fucking game where is takes 9 min to find a BG game and 5 min to find a dungeon, imagine where he would be today considering he said if he was not banned he would still be competing, Blizzard helped kill him and this is just a PR move.
why did they make the NPC a female ?
It's what he played
Make him the pvp vendor!
Robinson George Clark Thomas Rodriguez Deborah
This is my opinion and I'm sure not everyone agrees but I think blizzard played a large part in reckfuls decline, banning him from a game that he loves and all his friends still actively play, wiping away all the memories and accomplishments from his account, and creating an environment where he can't just play with his freinds because they are playing WoW, it was really sad.
Adding in an npc now it just feels like a way to get goodwill with players and nothing more.
As a Reckful's fan, I'm glad for this detail, but I gotta say, Reckful always was a Horde player, almost every vod u can watch he is playing wow on horde side, mostly with undead rogue. He only played on Alliance on Reckful 2 and 3, but all tbc, wotlk, mop, he played on horde side; he only played on Alliance during cata and in a small period of time. In my opinion, he should be an NPC in Orgrimmar. But it's just my opinion, thank you Blizzard for for this.
aww he didnt do /love
Why is he 49?
Aye tag me in a comment if you figure out why
Easy clicks in reckfuls name
This should be 2 minutes long.
Cdew with another save
I still don't get the "i don't train assassin rouge" thing
Its because he always preferred to play Sub rogue
@@Kionueprops Infact, the whole of WotLK he didn't train mutilate ability
Assassination was the meta, but he opted to get rank 1 as Sub and to prove it, he never trained Mutilate the entire expansion.
ass rogue was the fotm spec that xpac, he refused to play the fotm spec so he did not train mutilate and still got glad titles
jelly72 yeah early wotlk assassination was huge
And they say locks op melee mostly dh, rogues can literally do instant bolts damage in 2 seconds
they should have added an exact copy of reckfuls armory
