  • Do VST's suck? Are Moogs and Prophets boring and outdated? Can you tell the difference if put together in the same track?

A masterful work of art!!!! Love it!!! (And you're quiz really fooled me..... Back in the day I could tell a Prophet from an Oberheim and all that..... Amazing how the ears fool us!! I'm so glad my home studio (in progress) is definitiy going to be hardware based with a MAJOR ARESENAL of VSTs that could only be dreamed of a few decades ago......

Hey Jeff, I love your content but I have some easy tips that would help broaden your reach.
#1. thumbnail has too much text and is visually difficult to read. Simplify the questions into something that immediately makes the user curious, like "SYNTH OR VST?", or "SYNTHS OUTDATED?" or something along those lines, using brighter (yellow or white) and more bloated font. Adding strike (a black outline) also helps the font "pop".
#2. audio - the music should be very quiet when you're talking. It's fine to have segments where the music is loud as long as it doesn't conflict with other elements
#3. cuts! removing the pauses in your dialog will help get your points across faster and help retain people with lower attention spans.
Anything else is just icing, like camera angle, lighting, visual post-processing, etc
Great work overall and looking forward to seeing your channel develop

The cherry Audio memory Moog emulation is one of my favorite tools. I think it sounds amazing and super real. I use all VST’s and my music still has a real analog sound to it. Speaking of Moog’s, did you end up keeping that Behringer mini Moog clone?
