She's not wrong. My wife and I with our first child I only made like 28-32k and we were fine with her staying at home. And our expenses have barely changed, even though our income has increased substantially.

@mikelund327 Yes, but girls in Miami, LA, and NYC do not represent women everywhere else. Men who assume all women sleep around, have kids with multiple baby daddies, and expect a man to make $400,000 a year, clearly have never spent time outside of the city. Go to the Midwest, the South or anywhere else that does not have a reputation for skanktom, and there are plenty of normal women.

@ScissorsSir Yes and no, I think a better statement would be something like:
He is trying to find a way to portray her in a bad light because that's his business model... His income is (probably) based on making videos like this where he finds examples of women who have negative behaviour stereotypes, and he specifically looks for those because that content is what his target demographic engages with most.
So while he himself might be "chronically online", here I think it's more accurate to say he's catering to his audience. He still shouldn't ask those rude and leading questions to her though.

So many content creators only show the negative extremes to make more money which eventually messes with ppl's perceptions of real life. Even the ppl who think 6 fig is realistic is due to the financial extremes & lavish lifestyle ppl push online to get clicks.

I think it can happen that they can go on to be friends, but it requires both parties to actually be friends, if either has an ulterior motive or is not putting in equal effort, it will fall apart. once it falls apart people go back and rewrite history to say "they were only doing that to..." and it is not always true.
the only want to be friends is to BE friends. it's never just some default because you don't agree on attraction.

i think the main issue is many men lie that they want to be friends with you when they don't. it's not like the realization is instant. maybe for some women, it is. but for me, most of the time, it takes time to realize or to be sure, "oh, they are interested in me in THAT way". so like if the original intention is friendship, and THEN you have a crush on your actual friend, even if you are rejected, you still want to be friend with them. like maybe you would nurse your broken heart away for awhile but then you will come back to them as friends again.
AND THAT THE MASSIVE DIFFERENT between those who lie and those who are real about their friendship. how do i know this? because believe it or not, many girls and women do get crushes on their male friends too!
and you know what else? when the friendship is real, sometimes, you just ignore your feelings because you value that friendship more than a romantic relationship. that's why i really really hate it when boy and men lie about their friendship and then complain about girls and women think of them as jerks for not wanting to remain friends. they don't realize they are at the same level as scammers

Because it's awkward to stay after confessing to your female friend.
Friendship unexpectedly goes to romance, guy confesses, is rejected.
Guy leaves because hanging around will bring up unwanted feelings of what could have been.
He leaves, no longer friends with the girl, and all is in peace.

    • @EpicGabby24

@oompalumpus699 the point is still that if you felt an attraction to someone, why act like you wanna be friends. If you wanted to be someone's friend, being rejected after getting feelings wouldn't diminish the friendship. You're just lying to yourself to get closer. That's so fake to do to a girl to be in her life, say you have the hots for her when you knew she didn't feel the same, then ditch her cuz you didn't get what you wanted. Literally just stay out of a female's life if you can only view them romantically

    • @AirashiiTiayou
      @AirashiiTiayou 19 дней назад +22

I was looking for a comment on this. I 100% agree. Like, if you are going into the relationship with the intention of potentially dating, that's a different thing than if you just are friends with no intention of romance and then one of you catches feelings.
Like I get it if for the person with feelings it's too painful for them to continue spending time around that person, but for me, I'd rather enjoy the good times with the other person and still enjoy their company in the ways that I can despite knowing it will never lead anywhere, because I care about them a as a person and not just a romantic partner. I actually have a friend that I know loves me that way and we've both had a conversation about it. The real thing is that, really, it doesn't actually change anything about your relationship to that person, their feelings existed before the convo and it wasn't awkward, so why does it have to be awkward after? The only reason that guys say it's awkward is because they are expecting the other person to reciprocate even after rejection and then they get upset. Why can't they just enjoy spending time with them and look for romance elsewhere?
I also have another friend that I technically have feelings for, but I also know that we would not be compatible in a romantic relationship. They are fully aware of my feelings, but nothing has changed for us. I still love spending time with them and so do they, we just are aware that what we have is as far as it will go and we are okay with that.
I mean, now that I think about it, really the person who has feelings is really the one that is being selfish by expecting that their friend will reciprocate feelings and that they need to after they've confessed. Expecting someone else to give you what you want despite their feelings is just... rude.

@@oompalumpus699I’ve had it happen to me before, and it was upsetting. I thought I had made a friend, didn’t realize the guy was into me, then after he confessed and I rejected him, he said he didn’t want to be friends anymore.
It hurt because I really valued our friendship, and I felt like I wasn’t valued at all as a friend, only as a potential partner.
I get why it’s hard on the guy, but it sucks for both parties.
And this is a consistent problem, even when I lay out my boundaries early on. I could say outright that I’m not interested in a romantic relationship, and thus feel confident that both of us just want to build a friendship.
Then, if I start getting the feeling the other person has romantic interest in me, I try to ignore it because I already said I wasn’t interested and I don’t want to bring it up first. If they do confess, I get dropped the moment I don’t return romantic interest, even when I made it clear from the start that what I wanted a friend.
At the very least, if somebody says they aren’t looking for a partner, take their word for it and don’t assume that’s going to change for you. Figure out boundaries and control yourself. Maintain healthy platonic friendships. Idk. I’ve never been in love, I’m not sure how hard it is. I’m probably being an ass. But dammit this has happened one too many times and it’s frustrating to have someone you thought of as a friend change up on you so quickly.

I get that the man may be hurt and wants to protect his feelings and not be reminded of them whenever we see each other. But did our meaningful connection mean nothing to you if I'm not gonna sleep with you, too? I had this in the past and honestly, I felt as if some boys were selfish themselves, demanding that our relationship has to be their way or the highway.

When it comes to guys being “cold”, that’s described as the actions that they’re doing. He’s not talking to me. He’s ignoring my text messages. He walked past me like I didn’t exist. Those are how cold are described from my experience.

But when I was in high school we were driving down the road and she screamed for us to pull over and my mom her daughter slammed on the brake and pulled over. My 80 year old grandma hopped out of the car and ran down the banking to a pile produce boxes and going through them. She than started yelling with joy for us to come help her load them into the car. In total there were 12 boxes of cucumbers, onions and peppers I never saw my grandma this happy before. We got back to her place and spent the next 8 hours making relish out of the produce from the boxes from the side of the road. my whole family on my moms side showed up and it was a day to celebrate my aunts and uncles all came by to help and bring the all the other items to make the relish. This story was told at my grandma funeral and the whole family laughed about it my now wife who was new to the family at the time was shocked by the story and confused why we were so happy about finding and eating half rotten vegetables. That’s when it really kicked in that we were raised poor because my grandma lost a brother during the great depression so she handed down ways to survive even during bad times and those same habits were passed down to me and my siblings.

They didn't even know me well, it's a vibe a person gives off. Being older now I understand there is healing to be done. There is some trauma response that people pick up on.
    To all the "nice" people:
You go out to the world from your house that maybe wasn't extremely abusive, so it's not so obvious. Maybe your household revolved around someone's mood and well-being. Maybe your sibling revolted against this power dynamic and maybe your burden was to tune in and act according to the needs of the person. All your life you learnt how to serve other people's emotional needs. It's a coping mechanism that has root in fear. It's ingrained in you so you take it with you to the world. People outside your household see this fear based niceness and are repulsed by it.
I the words of Dr JP you need to grow teeth and set boundaries. Healing is the key. And in the end you will learn the difference between "niceness" and kindness.

When I was teaching a few years ago in a challenging high school, I had noticed that the boys who grew with a single mother were the ones who would be really into alpha stuff. They were not necessarily traumatized or abused but they grew around women and were looking for a model of masculinity, going for extremes because that’s easily available and them just stereotyping a lot because they are influenceable teenagers. I wonder if they grew out of it or stayed that way. A lot has to do with how you grew and what was missing. Maybe you missed nothing.

There is a major difference between being nice and being a pushover or having a need to please. Me personally, I believe i am nice not because of a need for validation or because of some deep rooted fear, but because its great to see others happy as well as yourself. What do you lot reckon?

Witnessed the dating scene change first-hand. It culminated when fb and myspace got big. Every impressionable kid in the world was on it. Little girls learned how to exploit their bodies to a high degree. Little boys felt like they had to have the most attractive girl in the world to be cool. This made boys meet whatever requirements a girl had, to date. This gave the girls all the power and the girls exploited it heavily. Those kids are young adults in their mid to late 20s now and things have hardly changed. Good thing is a lot of people like you and me weren't affected by this so there's still hope. The only solution is to bring the problem to light because the young adults don't realize the damage they are causing. There's a huge divide between young men and women right now. I think only 27% of men globally are in a relationship right now. Men feel used and taken advantage of and finally know how to express it to the entire world, which is why "women hate" videos have been going viral the past few years. Social media culture literally ruined society- created so much jealousy and selfishness. People aren't normal anymore. To the point it's surprising when someone is normal.

With no doubt, you can easily pay for a family of 4's food, clothing and bills with 27k. If you live in a rural, low-cost area that might venture all the way into being "easy" to pay for it all and having a decent holiday's worth of cash left over.

About a month into us knowing each other, he posted about how girls reject nice guys and always go for the bad guys and get their hearts broken then say it's all men yadayada. The day we first met, i had given him my number, and within the first 2 hours of us talking, he had told me 5 pick-up lines back-to-back😭. It was crazy because i liked him, but holding a conversation with him was so hard because he just kept throwing pick-up lines at me. Aba is so right about the nice guy thing. I had this 'nice' guy who seemed to have no personality or opinions. I would ask about something he liked and I would say 'Oh I do not like that activity so much, I like to do this' and they would quickly change their opinion. It was like they were molding themselves to be someone more similar to me in the attempt for me to like them. I just wanted them to be themselves. Another thing he did was grand gestures when I nearly knew him, although I think that is more of a me thing and my dislike of 'love bombing' when I had just met them a couple weeks ago because I get afraid they will want something I do not want to give them and kinda use it to guilt trip me.
But like Aba said, there is nothing wrong with being nice. My fiancé now is so kind and the sweetest man I know. He cooks for me/with me, he tucks me in at night (we sleep in separate rooms so its our good night ritual, I am sorry if it sounds kid like, I have tucked him in as well lol, it just feels affectionate), he stays with me when my phobia gets bad (I have emetophobia), he drove 12 hours to see me, he called me every day while we were apart for 3 months, he's spontaneously bought me things I mentioned I liked/wanted but couldn't get for myself (if within budget), he helps me in general and is just so kind. He has never raised his voice or made me feel guilty when I need help. But being nice does not mean changing who you are, he likes to just stay home and read his books. I like to go to raves every once in a while with my friends, I have invited him but he does not do well with the lights and says he likes to just stay home and read. He didn't suddenly decide he likes raves and go with me and pretend to enjoy it. He is still his own person, he has his friends and so do I. He has his hobbies and stuff he likes to do and so do I. But he is still really kind and sweet and I love him for who he is, I love hearing him talk about something he is passionate about and hearing about his new book (it's so hot omg), I like seeing him do his research or help me with some math problems (I have asked for help for something I know just because I think he looks so attractive talking about math, he is a math phd and I'm a physics major lol), I like making him some chicken quesadillas and seeing how happy he gets when I make him food because he has really busy days sometimes.
Anyways, be kind and genuine. Be yourself, the way I see it, if you do not end up having a successful relationship because of hobbies, style, or some personality traits, it was probably for the best. At least for me, I would like to be with someone who likes me, and not a fake persona I create for them to like me it will only stress me out to keep up the persona.

That was a nice read and also rather nice to read for me.^^
My best friend once said that I'm a nice guy(TM) and I was put off by that, because I would not consider myself that, at least based on some things I've read about it. Yeah, I'm friendly and I try to generally avoid conflict and also give people the benefit of doubt, but I don't have ill intentions or ulterior motives and am not a sexist.
I _do_ have some opinions (although I'm pretty much always open for discussion), am honest when I say sth., and have my own hobbies/interests. So that's a relief, I guess.^^ If you hate my hobbies or I can't have interesting talks and discussions about things with you, it's most likely not gonna work out.
So, I agree with your last paragraph.
I might say though, without trying to defend that one boyfriend (or just interested dude), it might be that my answer to "What do you like to do?" is "I like to go karting.", yet when you say you don't like that but like watching movies, I could say "Yeah, me too!" - it's not like I only like one thing, right? Then again, if you say "I don't like watching movies" I might respond with "Really? How comes/what about [...]?". Otherwise, if it's about doing sth. together, maybe I don't have a strong preference and am perfectly fine with your alternative.
So, it might not be "molding", but could just be not having much of a preference and being open to other things.

I don't see how the nice guy that you described was wrong for what he did.
I think he has some kind of trauma from childhood which made him think that he needs to change himself constantly in order for people to like him. And also do things for them as much as he can so they start liking him more.
Ofc, it's all just a speculation of what you described of him...and he might be different than what I am perceiving him to be, but more or less, this is how i think it is.

My parents had 7 kids together and they raised us on a 30-35k salary in the early to late 2000's. We grew up in NYC. My mom was a stay-at-home mom. We were poor, but I had a decent childhood. We lived below our mean. No buying unnecessary things. Everything we bought was 100% needed. All food was homecooked. Maybe once or twice a year, we would have McDolands or Chinese takeout.
Every month my dad would buy soap, deodorant, toothpaste, rice, pasta, oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, tomato paste, brown mustard, potatoes, frozen veggies, chicken, and red meat, in bulk and on sale. That was pretty much 95% of the groceries we needed. Then every week my dad would give my mom $25 to buy any extra we needed. She would buy eggs, bread, milk, and basic produce (bell pepper, carrots, and cabbage). We never bought full-priced clothes. Always the clearance section, and we only bought good quality. Nothing cheap that will get destroyed quickly. My mom would also sew us new clothes and repair old clothes. My dad didn't believe in credit cards, so he never had one. All the things we had, he bought with what we had.
    EDIT:
Wow! Y'all can't read and can y'all can't do math. I said early to late 2000's not the 90's. The early to late 2000's is not 20-30 years ago. Even though the cost of living was way cheaper back then, it's still difficult raising 7 kids on a 30-35k salary without having financial literacy. Especially living in NYC. Regardless, my parents still made it work. The point was to motivate you guys to start cutting back and living within your means. To learn to buy what's necessary and be satisfied with that. I explained how my parents did it so you can get an idea on how you can do it for yourselves. That's the whole point!
Most of yall are single making 30k on average. If my parents can raise 7 kids with that amount, you can support yourselves. I live alone and I'm surviving just fine because I don't spend my money on useless things. I just started making about 35-40k this year. Even when I was making about 25k, I was fine. I'm extremely happy partly because I'm satisfied with the minimum. Mostly because I realized something most people don't. That nothing really matters but God. If you can learn to let go of worldly things and put your hope in Jesus, you will have true peace. You will be in a storm, and be shocked at calm you are. That's been my reality. Most of you will roll your eyes at me mentioning God, but while y'all are busy arguing non-sense I'm in peace living a happy life with no regrets. When that financial crash in 2025 comes, a lot of y'all are going to be so miserable because your hearts are so attached to worldly things. Do yourselves a favor and let go of these fickle things while you can. Learn to live humbly, and surrender your worries to God. You will be fine. Everything about this world is fickle. Only one thing is sure, and that's Jesus. You have been warned.

Had to pause the video cause Preach casually called out my bad spending habits. I’ll finish it after I’ve cut down on Uber Eats

Too many people out there say they cant afford a family or a home or even health insurance, while spending 400 a month on weed and eating takeout every meal. Super annoying.

The problem is everyone doesn't have a grocery store walking distance or public transportation isn't reliable. I know someone who said the buses in his city ran like every two hours, if that. Imagine trying to get groceries and everything melts if it's frozen lmaooo

Yeup. And then have credit card debt out the a-hole. People who make 50-100k shouldn't even be ALLOWED to complain. They're living it good. If they would just stop lifestyle inflating themselves and quit using credit cards they would actually feel good about their lives instead of feel stressed and anxious over bieng in debt all the time. If I made 50k I'd feel like I was rich and wealthy. I'd feel on top of the world if I made 100k.

You guys may not realise it but when she says turn mean she means turn MEAN. Not like ghosting you but like active things like kicking your chair to get your attention or cussing you out. They let themselves get close, they worked up a fantasy relationship in their mind and then got rejected- they're mad and they're taking it out on you. That's what she's talking about.
