He is dying of cancer here, and going balls out. Fuck you if it's not your idea of perfect.
Thank you for being so strong,RJD.
I am a two time cancer survivor and have nothing but respect for this man.
So much awesome!
It is perfect in my eyes brother.
Cancer survivor here too. Metastatic Thyroid cancer. Got my 3 year ultrasound next week. I also went sudden cardiac arrest while I was partially spinally decapitated. See my surgeries video. 6 major surgeries the past 4 years. Got a pacemaker now and also my neck fused c3-c7 front and back. A year after I got the front done which was right after Thyroidectomy I got my front plate taken out due to it loosening and I got more cadaver bone added. Then 6 months later my appendix burst. The 6 months after that I fell due to my bad heart and snapped my fusion and had to get the backside fused. Had to have my chin sewed shut also. And right before my pacemaker 4 years when I went sudden cardiac arrest I fell backward and broke the back of my head open and got that stapled shut. ........ ruclips.net/video/dAp1b5JR3C4/видео.html
Absolutely no problem here, chinacat. RJD is gone but will never be forgotten. I have Heaven & Hell live at Radio City Music Hall on CD, and anyone else who has a copy of that particular performance knows that Dio did a great job. The man had balls and guts.
Horns up, pilgrim. \m/
@@chrisw5742 my GOD, you poor dude!!! If you're still alive man, many blessings to you!👊🙏
He has cancer here? Damn... just damn! Heartbreaking, now I can't watch the rest. So very sad
My sister worked for Feline Productions in 1980 when Sabbath played Colorado Springs. She picked them up at the airport in a limo. They hit all the pawn shops and guitar shops in town. They were perfect gentlemen and treated her great. Lucky dog.
Even in the last year of his life, he never lost his voice. Great until the end and one of the classiest of all time. He is GREATLY missed.
I saw Ronnie twice with Sabbath, and once on his own, and he was amazing all three times !One of the great rock 'n' roll vocalists, and such a sweet person.Long Live Rock 'N' Roll !!!
I don't know man. Ronnie sounded really rough here.
@@MetalPersonJ This song is insane to sing tho, he pulls it off great considering his age
It was the end of the show too :)
MetalPersonJ he’s almost 70 here
@@MetalPersonJ He was a little rough yes. At the end of a gig, at age 67, while dying from stomach cancer. Feel free to judge, but I give him a free pass on this one.
Fucking 66 years old, still hits EVERY note. Goddamn. RIP Dio.
66 and dying of cancer! Flawless performance. We should all go out on such a literal high note.
He actually turned 67 years old 20 days before this show.
Simply the best vocalist that ever lived We all Love you Ronnie
Amen to that brother
if those are "off" notes, you haven't seen too many live shows. holy cow. it's a brilliant performance for most singers in their primes. Dio's voice just had a remarkable quality - not too high-and-fluffy and not- too growly - it was the proverbial "just right", even in its twiight. I feel privileged to have seen him in Vancouver on the first Heaven and Hell tour.
Damn...I swear Tony Iommi is the best looking guitarist on stage. He is so calm and calculated and freacking epic
Tal cual sin toda la alharaca de afectados que se ve en todas las bandas de heavy metal..
First time I saw Sabbath live, I knew it was gonna be good. Didnt realize they were gonna be that awesome. Iommi blew me away as did Geezer & Ward. Ozzy was great but the Heaven & Hell shows I saw were epic.
Toni Iommi cannot be f****d with. 🤘
Ronnie James Dio was one of a kind, and the world is less magical now that he's not in it. Thank goodness we still have his music, which will carry on.
What separates from RJD and everyone else is that he pushes his performance to the limit and when he was sick he went up and performed his best whereas these pop stars throw fits and half ass it
MrCapone1996 u can see he is in some sort of pain here or fatigued, still gives his all. Just love everything he did. Always a complete experience that goes to soul with Dio.
agreed@@laabsenceofcol8079 ...even though Ronnie pushed himself and his performance was ALWAYS on point
you can hear AND see him struggle....dude was the best metal singer ever...MY OPINION......
Well said and how very true.
Great point... RJD was/is incomparable. RIP Ronnie! He gave 150% even when he was dying! Many lead singers give only 60% when they are alive! Have to add that THIS band is incomparable too!
How can this man be 67 years old, dying with stomach cancer, and still sound like this?
Because it's rocknroll.
Because he is Ronnie James Dio
Because he was nothing less than a *Rock General* and a Fucking Legend...
He was not really dying but he was getting ready to take a rest before the live in heaven!!
Dio's "weakest" performances are still stronger than most's strongest.
The little giant of heavy metal 🤘
Amen RJD the giant among men
Elf
Aww man someone kept my double elf CD & never returned feels bad man. Never loan out a Dio CD/ALBUM
7 foot lungs in a 5'3" frame
The old guys gotta show the young bucks how it's done ;)
I saw RJD with Rainbow, at the Chicago Ampitheatre. 1978. That was a legendary lineup, Richie on guitar, Ronnie James on vocals, Cozy Powell on drums, OMG. 2 good 2B true indeed!
Yeah that was THE Line up , Bob Daisley on Bass and sorry, cant remember the keyboard Guy...wasnt that Don Airey ?? Well annyway that was the last World Tour with Dio .. Replaced by Graham Bonnet, and Roger Glover stepped in on Bass to be with his former Deep Purple bandmate again...lolololol And ofcourse we all know Dio joined Tony Iommy,Geezer Butler&Bill Ward for the ,,second coming,, of Black Sabbath...
@@Hanzey1966 maybe David Stone on keyboard
Как только зазвучали Рыцари-прослезился, вечная память Dio.
And to think I was here, 18 years old and not fully aware of Ronnie James Dio but knowing I was part of somrthing great. My first festival ever and what a festival it was. Glad I was able to see Dio the God live at least once.
May I ask what festival it was please? 🙂
Oh, it's ok. Just read the title. Thank you though 🙂
Dio was spectacular.Tiny man with a voice of a giant and a master wizard of heavy metal. The man was and still is a 100% icon.
RJD the real deal. Miss him tons.
The greatest. DIO rules. Thank God for this man.
Anyone that had the privilege to see Ronnie perform had a life time experience. Something you could equate to having seen Hendrix or Morrison (historically).
John Galt that's true, i had the honor of saw him twice and it Was amazing
I saw Dio 9 or 10 times twice at a pretty small bar.
Never got a chance to see him. One of my bosses did, even ran into him when he accidentally wandered into some off limits areas of a festival they were playing at looking for a restroom. Just the look in my bosses eyes as he told the story of how he met and chatted with him briefly and how in awe he was at the how down to earth a metal God could be was cool as fuck.
I saw Motörhead and Heaven And Hell only once. But it was something i'll remember for the rest of my life.
I saw him 8 times but 6 months before he passed away I went back stage to meet him and before I walked away I went back and told him God bless you. I knew he was sick, this is before he went public with his illness.
The time when people actually could sing and play instruments...Dio...Legend
A voz mais bela da história do heavy metal!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sem dúvidas.... até o Bruce Dickinson reconhece 👌 rip RONNIE JAMES DIO 🕇✡🕇
Absolute professional cover up on the lead by Iommi . Never got credit for his lead style. Always about his riffs of course but his leads are amazing.
I'm just glad that the greatest metal vocalist matched up with the greatest heavy metal band and we have great video to relive a colossal band.
So little man making so powerful voice! \M/ I miss him so much! \m/
so true..
we can agree to disagree.
that's awesome that his voice still gives you goosebumps. that's what it's all about. he's that sort of figure, able to emanate power even after he's started to go down hill.
he will always be ronnie james dio!!! (aka Ronald James Padavona)
he was a legend.
Hail the One and only. Ronnie James Dio:Father to us all who follow the Heavy Metal Path. No matter where we're from, at the end, We all shall gather around His Holy Presence.
Thanks for this epic and postume memory.
Ronnie have left the stage, but leaving a fucking awesome register for us to remeber.
I'm in the crowd somewhere to the left of the stage, 18 years old and not aware of how legendary Dio or this particular concert was at the time. Damn, I wish I knew of the music more and appreciated what I was witnessing. Watching it now, I miss Dio and seeing these perform.
HEY, you were there! :-D
Iommi is just so smooth as a player. Love his style and persona.
Iommi completly missed his first notes from the solo at 3:46.But the pro that he is he calmy get into it and played on.Just on the end of the solo at 4:32 you can see he's not happy with his solo, but who cares, its briljant how he recovers .Iommy rules \_/
David Topchiev Who cares
You completely missed the entire point RJD is a f n beast rip RJD
He shook it off man - he’s awesome but still humble
Yeah, Iommi is a pro and a great guitarist.
04.01.2023г.Супер , прекрасен вокал е Ронни Джемес Дио!
Dio: pequeno na estatura, gigante da voz.
Sortudo quem pôde ver pelo menos uma apresentação ao vivo desse mito do heavy metal. 🇧🇷🤘🤘
Is what a masterpiece on the guitar solo
The voice, the Sinatra of Metal
Ronnie - we will always remember you! So much awesome even in your end you gave it your all. EVERYONE in music, not only Metal, owes you for all you did.
Remember taking my ghetto blaster on board walk Newport Beach 1983 blasting dio with my cassette. Love the 80s. RIP Ronnie!
With no disrespect to Ozzy, I think Ronnie kicked his ass!!!
I am with you man, much more powerful and terrifying voice
You can't really compare Ozzy to anyone else. Ozzy wasn't that good of a singer, but his uniqueness perfectly meshed with the original sabbath crew. Dio on the other hand is one of the greatest singers in rock history and is on a level that you can't compare to anyone else either since he was so damn good.
Chaotic Atmosphere DIO LIVES 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Exactly bro! Ozzy is a lucky showman, but Ronnie is the best singer there has ever been in Rock history, including all of his under-genres!
Dio had the best voice no doubt, but nobody even fitted better into Black Sabbath than Ozzy, the only true Sabbath was with Ozzy, Geezer, Toni and Bill.
The Neon Knight. RJD.
Man I saw these guys in 1981 on the Heaven and Hell tour! Still rocks today!
Thanks for utube and all of us listening keeping Ronnie and all his songs alive.
It is a gift from Sabbath to replace Ozzy with RJD! Best decision ever! It gave Dio the impetus to form DIO!!
What a hard rockin' soulful voice he had!
Black Sabbath on stage... teaching how rock and metal should be performed... much better than a lot of shitty bands that appear on Wacken (Steel panther and the 1000 copies of Iron maiden) Dio and Ozzy are the best ones, Black Sabbath is the aquelarre that changed everything, maybe some people in the crowd didn´t notice that "small" detail... Rest in peace Dio and Sabbath!
.these guys killed it.long live ronnie and sabbath.
Steel panther is hilarious
I agree With you
agreed!
🤘🏻🤘🏻
I became so thrilled when he introduced the band members at the end. Excitement goes on and on...
LONG LIVE DIO- SAW HIM IN LONG BEACH CA IN THE 80S AND KICKED ASS-ROCK N ROLL FOREVER
Ronnie singing the hell out of Neon Knights live! Sign me up!!
This is perhaps the greatest melody of a song transition Just mind blowing the transition makes you want to jump out and headbanger. Pure genius and slamming the audience into euphoria.
Small in stature, an absolute giant in his field of expertise.
And he was nice too, he didn't shit on his fans like other people......
67 year's old or somethin"?..now that's dedication to d cause,man..outstanding filling in where d Oz left!..let there be rock,people!
I still can't believe Ronnie is gone. When he died, I was more angry then upset. Months later, I'm on RUclips watching videos in freakin' tears. God dammit, why did he have to die? I 'm crying again. I'm glad I got to see Dio in 2003 w/ Motorhead and Iron Maiden. I will NEVER forget it. RIP Ronnie!
Ten years later I'm still watching RJD on you tube and still missing him
He nailed it. That was really great. The metal song everyone can enjoy !
Just a note about Iommi's solo:
Iommi can play whatever he wants on a stage.
He is Tony Iommi.
Ronnie used to talk about how Tony's solos would often contain large sections from his solos in others songs. Tony's solos were all basically just noodling around in the blues scale, so it's no surprise that sometimes one turns into another.
@@SylviusTheMad like EVH.....and many more
"Praise Iommi"

Indeed.
I concur my dear chap.
The greatest classic rock vocalist of all time, RIP Ronnie, never forgotten. Listened to Heaven and Hell album thousands of times since its release and never tire listening to it.
66 years old with such incredible voice, that's fucking unbelievable
he does not miss the notes....if you notice every live of him the notes are different by his side..he changes the song a bit! i think he is still as badass as in the past in this live! i get goosebumps everytime :)
2024 still getting the same chills from my past, the master, the siren, We love you ronnie
Rock and roll is through, there is no more rock bands left now or in the future to ever replace this man and his band PERIOD!!!!!!!!
My Favorite Singer in the whole world. His memory will live on. The only music I listened to mostly and the only concerts I went to mostly. I must have seen Dio solso and Black/sabbath many more times then I did anyone else. Long Live Ronnie James Dio. We all miss you.
I WORE OUT Heaven and Hell on 8 track (I know......old). One of my favorite discs to this day.
Ronnie James Dio ... A true Metal God.
Ronnie stalked the stage. He owned it every time. He was huge on that stage. It was a pleasure and honor to work with him and know him. I miss him.
might be the defining show on You Tube for this band. Everything is just ROCK. Sound, playing, performance. How Ronnie died and Ozzy is still alive is a mystery to me. No justice there.
DIO was and is one of my favorite singers,ALWAYS!! Love u ronnie!
greatest metal singer of ALL TIME 🤘🤘🤘
I saw Ronnie Dio live back in 1974 as the lead singer in Elf supporting Deep Purple Mk3 at Sheffield City Hall. The next time that I saw him was at the Manchester Apollo in 2000 supporting Alice Cooper on the Brutal Planet tour. A couple of years ago, I had the choice of going to see Heaven And Hell in Southampton, or Alice Cooper in Cardiff. Guess what folks, I made the wrong choice. I am going to regret for a long time that I didn't go and see RJD. But who's to know? We are wise in hindsight.
I just love the added part to the start of this song! So awesome how they always do it live!
Absolute genuis! I agree that he was the most amazing voice in rock history. Such a loss!
R.I.P.Ronnie :-) Right into my Ronnie James "DIO" playlist :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
Country Girl
What a fucking riff!! 👏🏼👏🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Passion in every word sung GOD.
Saying Awesome !!! is not a big enough description for Mr Ronni James Dio.
The Quintessential , Charismatic front man of Heaven and Hell.
I love the way Tommy walks way back to the stage to give total presence to
Mr. Dio, Pure and none equal professionals . Thanks James. we miss you dearly.
At 54 I find myself getting more emotional than ever before. Maybe just my love of the music and the musicians coming through ?
4:31 That cry ///such of emotions i 4:35 4:44
The chemistry in these four is unequaled. Amazing.
My fav Ronnie sabbath era song. Miss ya Ronnie RIP
So glad I got to see this band live. God Bless. Actually saw Dio's last performance in Atlantic City, NJ. I consider myself extremely lucky.

A melhor voz do heavy metal.

DIO( RIP) Sabbath Was Awesome 🤘😎🤘😎
i saw em do this tour i dont care when they chop songs up. great tour and great version of neon knights. i saw dio solo and with sabbs more than anyone else . for 1 reason he was just better!
@BlackSabbath1776 Good ear, you're right. Tony wasn't happy with that solo at all. Seems like he may have lost his place or something. They recovered though. Gonna miss this band big time.
Heaven & Hell playing Neon Knights at Wacken? It's a metal trifecta! The dark stars will never be alignment like this ever again!
Ronnie James Dio was a Rock God he was small but he had a powerful rock voice i first heard him in Rainbow in 77 i was only 10yrs old and i have been a fan ever since loved Ronnie in Black Sabbath and his own band Dio and of course Rainbow Ronnie was an all round nice guy. R.I.P. Ronnie You’re Missed So Much!
Miss this man as if I’ve always known him!
Who but Ronnie James Dio could sing metal like this in their mid-60's?Absolutley no one.He truly was a legend and a true one of a kind.Ronnie You are the man. Thanks for 40 years of kicking my ass.
@SSLRoadsideService So right! Performances this good need no enhancements, and Tony Iommi doesn't need any guitar tricks. This is the man who invented heavy metal guitar playing.
Saw Dio at Donnington, seriously good, Metalica were 3rd on the bill, amazing! Bon Jovi were headliners, very good they were also.
A remarkable performance in any circumstances.
He's in his late 60's and giving a good account of himself.
Ronnie always gave his all, and I'm glad he made his peace with Tony and Geezer before he passed.
RIP RJD.
Holy shit, 67 years old. What a LEGEND. You will always be great. R.I.P Dio, the voice of metal.
Happy birthday dear and great Ronnie. Best regards from Russia.
RIP Great Ronnie!.Your voice was the soundtrack of my youth. And Tony will always be a badass
Una voz única e inolvidable del rock , y un guitarrista insuperable , que gran banda Sabbath con Dío.
We're all going to miss him he was great
I saw RJD when he was with Black Sabbath at the LA Forum in 1982 on the Mob Rules tour.🎸
