  • Over covid lockdown 2021 we built an extension on the back of our house to create a new kitchen diner space.
I aim to make videos for each step of the extension and every job I do so anyone who is building their own extension can follow and see what is involved.
In this video I cover building the block walls and getting the very heavy, 4.1m long RSJ into place above where the bi-fold doors are going to be.

I deliver steels like that on an articulated lorry.., h&s rules mean everything has to be fork lifted off & moved.., we’re not allowed near them!.., great video that your kids can enjoy in years to come.., lot’s of hard work has been put into that house as I’ve followed your videos for a while now!👍

There wasn't as much h&s on this site as there probably should have been but we did it without any injuries.
Glad you're enjoying my videos. Hopefully I will be able to keep the one video a week schedule going. Just hope the RUclips algorithm starts to promote me a little more 🤞🏼
As always, thanks for watching 👍🏼

That Genie lift is a nice bit of kit, lifting a steel that big into place is well difficult, that saved a lot of struggling by the looks of it

It was a brilliant bit of kit. Getting the steel up without it would have been so difficult.
      Thanks for watching 👍🏼

What a great bit of kit. Gotta love anything that can lift or dig for you! Have fun with the bub mate, great time of life, expanding home and family. Cheers PP

The lift was brilliant, we would have really struggled without it.
Life certainly is busy with the renovation, new build, a new baby and two other kids 🤣
