I would not say that's small. Personally, I think that it's massive.
Thats what you want her to say 😞
It has personality 😢
Ooo. Self roast. Those are rare.
@@MarshtompGames Is this sarcastic, I cannot tell
@@TheaverageSpectatorDo you not get the joke
Thats not small its average, bet it has great personality too!
Wym it look humongous
💀
@@PikaconYTlmoa 😂
@@BobTheBone It's literally 2'x4'. That's tiny. The only issue is that it's relatively thick at just over half an inch, but that's because it had to fit the cartridges and the screen directly on top of each other.
@@BambiTroutThat’s… at least above average right?
Bro nintendo ds Was the best for YEARS
Honestly it still is. The battery life alone proves my point. It doesn’t have the best graphics, but it can a better version of Mario 64
@@oddmemes6960 yea but the switch can do things with its games
@@timohara7717 True. The DS could do much more than what developers thought it could do. Look at Mario 64 DS and Metroid Prime Hunters, even the Zelda games on there. They pushed the console to its limits and still those games ran so well for what it could. The switch games definitely look and perform better, but I will always give the DS credit for a handheld 3D console that succeeded
Switch has the best smash 💥
Still is
I don't think Nintendo ever intended on it being a major success, more of a fashion statement in the time of the iPod
Yeah.
It's like an iPod and a iPod shuffle
It’s basically just the bottom half of a DS. So buying the DS for 150$ compared to half a DS for 100$ makes more sense to me lol
Except way smaller than that. Its main selling point was the size.
Why did they releise this thing
same reason as why they released the Wii for $99 so later on... to cash some extra bucks with the spare hardware they had.
@@Mobik_ how do you now this ma man?!
It literally showed 2005 in the video.
I wouldn't say its small, its average atleast
Nah it’s huge
For a gameboy the smaller the better
And it has a great personality
I want one though 😢
Me too!
I have one thehehhheheehe
It's probably a lot cheaper now. But buy another Gameboy model instead, you would have to focus two of your eyes on a screen that's *just* bigger than one eye.
I would get it cause it seems like something easily hidable in class so you can play then
Then they did it again with the 2DS XL and Switch. I love my 2DS though.
The 2ds xl still sold well I mean the 2ds was out a few years afterwards
Well from that perspective, a switch lite oled sounds awesome
Yeah it does. Because most people buy the oled switch just to use it in dock mode. However the switch light is handheld only so oled should help as long as it doest cost more than a regular switch
@@wayneleduc4777 yeah, I'm not one of those people but keeping in dock mode prevents something happening to the screen, and the new dock design make it look nicer
Joycon drift.
2.5 million isn’t bad for a console refresh from the previous gen.
especially for one that probably didnt cost very much to make at all
Interesting enough for my birthday back in 06 I was asked by my dad if I wanted a new PS2 or a gameboy micro. Even though I already had a gameboy advance sp, I wanted a PS2 since ours just went down in flames. It was nothing against the micro because it looks so portable and compact but my sp was fine and still in great condition.
That's not micro, average, or above average, it's huge!
💀
Sounds very wrong out of context
@@kdb-qr9jh*in the context
it's above average at least! i'm sure it also has a really great personality aswell.
I like how you put it in a modern context
its average
💀💀
I have my flame red SP still and it's probably my favorite handheld I've ever had
The game boy micro has also a strange commercial
You had to remind me of that mouse trying to do the deed with the game boy
@@mikewzowske that's exactly what i mean
gameboy micro is just nice gift for kids
Only redeeming quality about the micro is it's durability.
Which i suppose would make a good kids gift.
Try buying one now, it's a collector's item
That Game boy is like my glizzy - A Gen Alpha Kid from middle school
It is just so small.
Idk what your talking about... thats totally average😢

Are they gonna finally adress the joystick drift issue?
nah so you'll have to buy new Joycons and if ur using a Lite , you're screwed
It’s got a good personality
I'm keeping my gameboy micro and after 15 years i will sell it for 10k dollars
I don’t think they intended it to sell well I think it was just suppose to be something cool for collectors kind of like the Mario and Zelda game and watches
I thought you were about to curse at the beginning😭

Why does one desire a piece of plastic that is the size of one’s thumb and pinky to play games on the larger and more efficient use of the game boy advance
The gameboy Micro seems like the medium size drink of that generation
I LOVE my gba micro. It's so much nicer to use than the SP
Wait whats the new Nintendo console called?
I did not know it was out
he was saying figuratively if there was a new console after the switch
@@TheJJBebop oh ok thanks
I remember my uncle let me played on his gameboy micro, I would always play the Mario game where you had to pull those turnips from the ground.
Virtual Boy: hold my beer
The gameboy micro is still my brother's favorite
I would straight up buy an OLED lite
Very valid points, but I still remember when I was little seeing posters of it in the store with all the different covers thinking it was SO COOL. 😂 (But definitely not as cool as my red SP and the metal carrying case my parents gave me that I used to pretend was my business attaché XD)
That what she said 😂
Lite OLED?? Bro, what else did I miss?
This Guys Next Video: Mario Odyssey Should Have Been On The Wii U Or The Nintendo Switch?
At least 😂my micro don’t got stick drift 😂😂
Probably because it doesnt have sticks
@@MALIkrac come on man don’t ruin the fun😂
Whenever I see the gameboy micro I just think of that ad with the rat
my mom bought me a switch lite for christmas and i am absolutely in love with it it’s like a handheld switch
You're gonna be in for a shock when you see normal switches
Only downside is higher power run on dock mode.
@@mechamicro true true ✅
@@YesPlatinum i’ve seen them 😭
Sam’s club had a deal for these back in the day, it was like a two pack with some games already and I don’t think my dad could afford to get me and my brother a DS or a New SP, so we each had our own micro…. And man I loved that little guy.
Thanks for doing everything you could dad ❤
I had a micro and I loved it, I thought it was better than the sp, I played it in school in my palms and when the teachers would pass by I’d just put my hands down . 😅
Also just to add to the absolutely incredible value the gba sp has it can play game Boy color games as well
It’s more like the Wii mini situation
I got two micros and they are great dude
Switch Lite OLED + better battery would be a dream come true. I love my Lite but I guess it could use some redesign
“Wait, wouldn’t it be the worst se- Oohhh…”
I can actually see Nintendo released Switch Lite Oled after they release the next Switch
Enjoy your content about nintendo related stuff, but I'm unsubscribing. Reason why I'm unsubscribing is because shorts are too addicting and I want to watch videos mostly from now on. Anyways much appreciated and keep up your content!
Ok? why can’t you just turn the notifications off?
Yeah, true, shorts/tiktok videos ruin our attention span by ALOT... But at the same time, they're really addicting.

@@ironkashman Just want to remove some channels so that there won't need to be a lot of them. And also there are about 469 channels that I've subscribed right now
I have two of em.
It was really informative.
To be fair it was just a neat collector thing.
The micro was my first Gameboy and got me addicted to Pokemon to the point I would keep it plugged in at night just to listen to the emerald opening music to fall asleep to. I also would play it in school during class, because it was so small and I forced a plug in the audio jack so it would stay quiet.
I have one a love it, best screen for a GBA even though small. But it was a collectors item celebrating so many years of the gameboy. That’s why they released it
I still play my gameboy micro. And I think I got it back in was it 05 or 06, It was black friday and I got it for sixty bucks.
should’ve been like 50 bucks
My mom got me and my twin a game boy micro when we’re younger. My grandma got me and my twin a sp to share. The funny thing about the sp is she forgot to give it to us for many years and it sat in her closet. We didn’t get it until we were about 10-11. It was much better, but I already had a ds when I got the gift lol
That was my first every console and I’ll never forget the tons of fun I had with it
I hope the next console from ninteo is an VR
I want to buy one of those but they're too expensive and I don't know why considering the small size.
I dont consider it a failure, it was there as a failsafe. Had the DS failed, the very very well known brand of gameboy would continue push on. Since the DS was a success, they were able to discontinue the gameboy name, which at the time was a pretty risky decision.
It's all about projection, could it have sold more? Sure, but that would probably mean the DS failed, which would have been an even bigger loss to Nintendo. A successful system doesnt need to be own by everyone, the return of investment for old hardware was substantial enough that it never needed to break any records. They probably sold what they projected to sell, which is still a win no matter how little that amount was.
Could have made it 50 or something, or like 35. Something low end and nice.
Honestly before i had a micro I thought id hate using it cause i have big hands and the thing is pretty small but after getting on for the Christmas that has just gone i can appreciate how nice of a console it is. It's a nice little thing and perfect for doom
Im confused about the consle after the switch i cant find anything about it
I would say GameBoy Micro is a good console because your teacher cannot see you playing games on class
Looks big to me
It's still a good collector's item, and it looks good, i guess
It wasnt really suposed to be succsesful
wasn't* suppose*
You put 20xx at the next console at this point its 2xxx
It may be xxxx later
@@TeutonicOrderState i meant it could be 2000 or 2080 the 20xx is the same as 2xxx
How the heck did THAT even sell 2.5 million?
I think it was designed for younger children with smaller hands.
I honestly think it wasn't meant to sell well
And also that AD where the Rat was humping the GBA Micro....
Back then making tech as small as possible was the game. They even poke fun at the fad in the movie Zoolander when they show him using a comically small cellphone
It's a niche product but it serves that niche extremely well. The thing I think most people don't realize is how nice this thing is in person. It's made entirely out of metal except for the faceplate and the buttons and dpad. Everything on it feels rock solid and substantial. The screen is bright and beautiful. It's super portable and surprisingly comfortable even with my large hands. It's just a really nice machine to use.
But it’s so cute 🥹
Even if the SP was 20$ cheaper, the Gameboy micro was heavily overpriced for what it could offer
Scott the woz once said that thr gb micro was mostly a fashion statement for those who bought it, not necessarily for playing games and having fun. And i think that makes sense.
that thing is way to small for my
hands and that screen to small
to the DS was way better and it
had and 2 screens instead 1tiny
one
Miles mor ales
🎉
If you take it apart, I believe there’s a switch you can flip that allows it to play game boy/color games, not 100% sure tho
it plays less games than the sp and costs more. why would they sell it for less?
Yeah it should’ve sold for like $50 if people actually wanted to buy it. Just make it ultra cheap
That the 20th anniversary edition for $30
Sorry did you say that the next conles is now out or is it just a metaphor
I’ve seen a few at a store before but nowhere else
I thought it was pretty big
Are you an atom or what
I’d say average 🤔
I bought one and still have it and got it at GameStop for like $40 at the time!
I have one and I think it's neat. Although I bought mine second hand
I like the micro more because it has most stuff an sp has, it has a headphone jack. The sp doesn't. Its backwards compatible with GA games and most games on those other consoles were rereleased of the micro.
Hope this helped
I bought one on clearance and got a decent amount of use out of it. I already had a DS fat and both previous GBA models, but the Micro could fit in my coat pocket.
I remember seeing my cousin with one. And I was surprised that such a thing exists. And thought that it might be one of those fake Gameboys that aren’t licensed by Nintendo but can play Gameboy games.
I had one it was great for plying Yugioh and Pokémon during class in middle school 😂
Comparing it to a "Switch Lite OLED" is funny and makes a lot of sense too.
And there was the ad with the rat
I can see them making an oled version of the switch lite and for it to be announced this year or next
Switch lite oled sounds like something id upgrade my current switch lite to if the price is right.
Bro dissed a handheld💀
