Which part of the ride made you smile the most?
I love the whole ride completely it's phenomenal! 💚
The queue. The rest is pure meh.
Flying under the London Bridge.
@@uncanny_ally Same feeling exactly
The tick tock crocodile!
11:15 this transition from screen to set is so cool, i’ve never actually seen a ride do this. simple when you think about it but incredibly clever in execution
I actually rewound that a couple of times because it was so seamless I didn't even notice it at first. Really cool little effect.
lol basic
I always cry when we and Peter go back to Never Land, playing second star to the right. Finally Peter says “Be the child all time”at the end.
I always forget quite how much I like Peter Pan until Second Star to the Right starts playing and I get emotional.
I feel the same way...every time I hear that song...I get emotional. It's that inner child in all of us.
For me it's you can fly! Once "think of Christmas think of snow" starts I get goosebumps and start to tear up 😂
dude i watch that movie all the time (and it pretty much always makes me tear up). i began telling the stories of his adventures to my little cousins. i hope i can be sort of a wendy to them.
Fully expected that SMOOTH AF transition into the London cityscape to be the exit and ending, such a good transition that I figured they did that for unloading purposes. Crazy that it was just yet another scene change. This one’s probably my favorite of this style of ride yet
Yup. I was here today and it blew my mind.
I'm Japanese, and I've already ridden it five times. Before I rode it, I didn't have high expectations because I had heard it was just a visual. But I was moved by the feeling of flying in the sky and the music, and I think it's the best attraction at Fantasy Springs. You can't really appreciate this attraction unless you experience it.
Usually I'd be the first to critique the almost exclusive use of screens, but I think this suits Peter Pan and the setting of Neverland so well. It feels more viscerally like I'm there, I can imagine the effect being heightened in 3D. The only disappointing aspect might be not being able to simulate through movement the moments where you "fly" off the ground, though its hard to tell form this video.
ふわっと浮き上がる感覚は再現されていたと思います。
I just rode it today. Was very impressed how the sensations of flight (acceleration, falling, swerving, etc) were all convincingly simulated.
Spiderman and transformers which have the same ride system simulate flying flawlessly. So I’m sure this does as well.
周りのセットが下に下がったら浮いた感じがより強く感じそうですよね!
Never did I think I would tear up during a ride. This one had my sister and I quiet and in tears when it ended. It is so beautiful!
Even without the ride, that queue is astounding.
So basically the Imagineers all sat down to answer the question “what if Peter Pan’s Flight was actually somewhat worth a 60 minute wait?”
It is worth it. Love the original in all the parks. Feels nostalgic and feels like Disney.
lol i always go during the fireworks when its a walkon.
@@Thomas-kp8mo the last time I waited in an hour+ line, it was because it was the last day of our trip, Toy Story Mania was brand new, and the only (paper) fastpasses available at that point were for after our flight was scheduled to leave.
Pretty much
Yes
Then they stole the Spider-Man vehicles and used it
Clearest and best quality POV I’ve seen yet for this attraction.
this is by far the greatest attraction ive ever seen using screens. its entirely screens, not a single animatronic, absolutely mind-blowing transitions
This is so wholesome and cute! I’m usually not too into screen rides but the atmosphere is so nice
I didn’t expect to cry watching this. I made it to 5:35 before the tears started. This is wonderful!
It’s probably the best Peter Pan ride I’ve ever seen.
This was much better than I was expecting! I had seen preview videos where people were not allowed to record the screens, only their reactions to what they were experiencing, so I could only guess. But, despite the heavy use of screens, I have to say I am impressed at the seamless integration of practical sets and screens, like the Lost Boys pulling the dingy, Tiger Lilly and Michael "bouncing" on the drum, and the transitions between sets and screens repeatedly. I don't love the CGI renders for the characters, but so far, this is the best they've looked, I think. And the fact that you'd think the finale of the ride would be the return to London, but nope, Peter is just dropping the kids off and going back to Neverland! It's a lot more fun than I was expecting it to be.
Further proof Tokyo has carried on with the heart and soul of Walt, something Bobby Iger lost years ago.
So much of it is about how the Japanese meticulous focus on excellence has driven Oriental Land Co. since it ventured to own a Disney resort. It was always and is about being heads above every other Disney resort where it actually counts in terms of guest satisfaction. They just aren't burdened with the same stock or social pressures as their U.S. counterparts.
@@emotionalideas This. And budget. Basically, OLC gives the imagineers free reign when it comes to ride creation. Basically what you see at TDS and many of the newer TDL attractions are what imagineers are fully capable of when not having to fit within certain budgetary limitations. I'm sure Iger would love to be free of budget constraints here in the US too but that's not how it works over here unfortunately.
Lame comment is lame. Iger gave us Pandora. Guardians coaster. Galaxies edge featuring rise of the resistance. Cars land and much needed dca redo. Now please stfu.
@@lowkeylowcountry2753Disney has the money…
@@lowkeylowcountry2753 The only reason it doesn't "work over here" that way is because Iger and the board say so. There is literally nothing stopping them but their own Capitalist greed.
I have always loved Walt Disney's Peter Pan, so I think this is the most beautiful ride I have ever seen and another Disney Imagineering masterpiece. I can't wait to visit Tokyo and of course Disneyland, what a wonderful and magical ride, congratulations one more time Disney!👏👏👏❤
Ok despite seeing the obvious similarities between this and Spider-Man and Transformers, this probably another great step in Imagineering.
The screens blend so well compared to Transformers and Spiderman! I hope we get something close to this eventually in the future.
@@KittyChibiWaifu I speculated that maybe the Avengers Multiverse Attraction will probably used this ride system.
I hardly consider what basically amounts to watching a movie on a screen a great step in imagineering. These newer rides with nothing but CGI images projected on a screen are lame and a huge cop out.
I want the classic Disney magic. Animatronics. Scenes with real tangible objects. Practical special effects that don’t rely 100% on CGI.
The only reason they’re doing it is because a bunch of money hungry cheapskates run the company now and they don’t give a damn about maintaining the world class standard that Disney was once known for.
@@Heffalumpswoozles85or people like the CGI? I prefer it. The characters are alive now. Instead of some shitty animatronic barely moving.
@@doubled5159 Shitty animatronic barely moving? 🤣🤣🤣 Tell me you’ve never been to a Disney park without telling me you’ve never been to a Disney park.
As a 29 yr old who rode this yesterday, I didn't expect myself to cry... it was such a magical moment for me.
乗らないと分からない浮遊感とか感動がありました
ぜひ東京ディズニーシーに来てください‼️
Not gonna lie, I did teared up a bit when the London sequence came up and returning to Never Land. I’m glad to experience this ride in person.
Another amazing and beautiful version of this ride. The imagine ers in Tokyo do have the soul, beauty and creative spirit of Walt and I wish we could see this in the parks in the U.S. Can't wait to visit the park again soon!
If only they would bring this type of passion and creativity for the orlando & other parks . Everyone truly needs to experience this . Goosebumps all over! I love disney
Have you been in Pandora 😊or Rise of the Ressistance? Both are fantastic
Wow ! What a dark ride !!! This is the best Peter Pan ride yet !
This ended up better than I thought. I like the combination of physical set pieces used in combination with the screen footage, like a super simplified Bourne Stuntacular combined with Spider Man but make it Peter Pan themed. How fun!
I love how they incorporated all the major songs and scenes from the film. I cant wait to visit
Looks great! Love that they go back to London! Beautiful attraction 😊
WOW! Walt would be pleased.
THE SONG PART AT THE END AHHH. My heart.
This ride is tied with Frozen for best ride for me. It's just such a good ride. I really love the different physics for when you're floating on water or flying. The flying scene going to London and back to Neverland is just pure Disney magic. I find this to be a little better than Spiderman which is already one of my top 5 favorite rides of all time.
This ride is a masterpiece of Disney Imagineering! We absolutely need this ride in WDW!
This was my favorite ride! I hated the drops in all of the other rides but the drops in this one was different! I loved it so much! I cried because it was my last day in Disneysea and I begged my family to go on it with me as much as we could of course.
Wow! The clarity of the animation is stunning. Some scenes were difficult to tell if it was real or animated. The contrast and lack of background brightness was phenomenal also. I couldn't see any "screen white" compared to the physical sets.
Thanks a million. I've always loved Peter Pan, and I always will.
This is what Walt saw in his head riding Peter Pans Flight
Theres so much more detail and stuff going on with the japanese versions of disneyland! The waiting/line areas, the actual rides, attention to detail and spirit of disney.....its amazing
キャラクターの口の動きが日本語になっているのも嬉しいポイント😆
6:00 I initially thought that this ride was just lazy and used too many screens. Good to see that it's 4D like Transformers and Spider Man.
That's one of those queues you don't want to leave. Cool, indoor, and lots to look at. Sometimes I wish they'd make an area of benches for people like me who'd rather just sit down in here and stay a while.
For me this was the best ride at Tokyo Disney hands down
It’s great how long this ride is compared to USA Disneyland. Very thrilling and brought back a lot of good memories playing Pan with my dad long ago, and my kids more recently.
The Japanese voice actors are cute and did a great job. 🏴☠️
Honestly probably my favorite Fantasy Spring ride based on the videos I’ve seen.
It's hard to argue with the overt technical wizardry of the Frozen or the surprising emotional heft of Rapunzel, but I think you're right - there's something about this ride in particular that feels about as close to Disney magic as anything I can remember.
Listened and watched the entire review - honest review earlier. The queue. Yes. Felt like it had been done before.
What I would do? Total immersive trip through the streets of London to the Darling household.
11:20 is so well done I had to remove the glasses to check how it was made when I was here today
This is if Peter Pan met Flight of Passage and I love it!!!! Peter Pan is one of my favorite Disney classics so I would go crazy on this ride 🥹🥹🥹
I love how this ride end in Never Land, instead of returning to the real world. (But still saddly needs to go back to real world after leaving this ride)
Glad to see the ride didn't break down this time. I remember when WDW used to wow me like Tokyo DisneySea wows me now.
I love it when they make the indoors seem like it’s nighttime. Like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland, California.
Probably the very best ride i've seen Disney do in years. I LOVE Peter Pan since i was a toddler.
Please throw out the dusty old Peter Pan Ride in Paris and replace it by this beauty.
すっげぇ楽しかったよこれ! ライドの動きもリアルだから酔いやすい人は注意だね。
The Wilheim Scream at 9:23 🤣😂🤣
Just like how the 2003 Live Action version of Peter Pan used the Wilhelm Scream.
I think the animation for this attraction is so well done.
The animation was made by Walt Disney Animation Studios themselves. The same folks that made the movies.
The queue looks super great (good job Imagineering) but I know some people just want the ride. So Timestamps for the Preshow/Ride:
Preshow starts at: 4:35
Preshow ends at: 5:36
Ride starts at: 6:50
Ride ends at: 12:42
I always loved PPF as a kid but this looks amazing!
I think the question I would ask myself is after riding it the first time, would I be willing to stand in line for more than 30 minutes to ride it again- probably not.
It’s looks like a mash up of flight of passage, MMRR, ratatouille, and Peter pans flight without the cool black light.
Same although interestingly enough apparently this is going to be the ride system the avengers e ticket will be using over here at California adventure
Thanks for being me the magic from Tokyo!
I hope they don’t replace WDW’s version, it’s so peaceful and entertaining the over energized screens just don’t do it for me. But I am old.
Actually Toyko Disneyland has both this version in Disneysea and the original version in Disneyland......
Lol. You can go there and enjoy riding both the Classic animatronic version and this new upgraded one.
とっても素敵なアトラクションです
Wow! Amazing! Can't wait to ride it someday 🥹
Hey! Finally got the full ride experience lol
"Holy moly!" Another amazing ride video from overseas!
Beautiful ride.
Now that’s just all kinds of cool 😎
I feel bad. I love the old school Disneyland so much better. Of course, this is me.... from the early 60's as a little girl. Why did they not make it fly in the vehicles? That was always the best part. I must be getting on in years, I am okay with that. Thank you for sharing. I hope the ride was magical. Thanks for all you do.
They still have the original ride (which looks similar to the WDW version) in the Fantasyland area of Tokyo Disneyland. So if you want to fly in the original cars you still can, just have to go over to the other park there.
i love the 3d glasses the best and how you can fly all over in neverland.
I wish we had this at Disneyland 😭 literally got me teary eyed
I didn't need subtitles for the Frozen or Tangled rides, since they're kind of fresh on my mind, I was able to catch the context of most of it. I would've loved to know what Peter Pan was telling the Lost Boys in that wonderful introduction before getting on the ride!
DIsney Tokyo has outdone itself with Fantasy Springs, I hope to go one day!
Everything in this ride was so beautifuuuul 😭😭😭💚💚💚
Smart of them to only include Tiger Lily and not the rest of the... wrongly depicted Native Americans
You're never getting this ride in the US precisely because of your obsession with erasing any and all depictions of American Indians or Native Americans(whichever you choose, I'm Australian).
Tigerlily being here is exactly why you're never going to get this ride in Florida and California.
You'll probably never get anything based on any of the classic films ever again. Stop being obsessed with that minor stuff, and then you might see more classic rides based on the Golden Age of Disney.
I will be there in 35 days!! I’m so excited to see it!!
Are you there yet?
I always find watching these Disney shorts on UTUBE, even for a little while, takes me away from the madness of today’s world.
9:23 Nice move knocking a wilhelm pirate out of the ship, Wendy!
WOOW!!! i NEEd to do it!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love how each country that has a Disneyland/Disney World has their own exclusive rides!
Here in the U.S., our Disneyland and Disney World parks are the only ones in the world that feature Star Wars' Rise of the Resistance, Smuggler's Run and Galaxy Tours, as well our Disney World being the only place that features the Flight of Passage and the Na'vi River Journey rides from the Avatar movies.
I'm surprised that Japan doesn't have a Kingdom Hearts themed ride or attraction in their Disney park, considering how popular that video game franchise is and the fact that it's literally a Disney crossover.
Off to Neverland!
Does anyone else say that the new solid-state projection system makes the picture really pop, even without the glasses?
Love the nod to Winnie the Poo at 1:19.
Literally chills when Peter went back to neverland
People who don’t like the animation are just trying to complain
Fantastic....I am sooo jealous 😁
Dang! The line for this ride makes Peter Pan's Flight at Disneyland seem like a walk-on!
For me, the problem is that the animation has the modern computer animation look of modern Disney, not the older 2-D style of the film. I'm sure this is a plus for modern audiences, but I do love the look of the original I grew up with, but that's just me. It's obviously a wonderful attraction.
Meanwhile , Disney World and Disneyland are busy sterilizing their parks of anything that may offend anyone . Sadly , one of the things Disney intends to rid itself of is Tinker Bell . Thank Goodness Tokyo Disney is not owned by Disney Corp . Or this wonderful ride would have never seen the light of day . Rest easy Walt . At least your vision lives on in Tokyo Japan.
Wahhh .kerennn bgt...❤❤❤❤
The queue is better then the whole ride in orlando😂
I wonder if the ride sprays you with water
Jesus. I have to come here sometime soon.
Whoa, I thought Web Slingers at Disney's California Adventure used way too many projection screens. Would have been better if the pretense of a dark ride (with moving vehicles) was tossed out entirely & the Peter Pan attraction was in a projection dome theater like Soarin' Around the World. Also, today's CGI & AI also makes sleek animation (on projection screens) less of a big deal than in the past.
This feels like Star Tours but the Peter Pan theme and the vehicles are spinning and moving
Is this ride OK for 4yrs old?
It a fan of all the screens but they did it very well.
it is beautifully done
Makes you think what the Imagineers can come up with next? (hope we get to see this come to the Anahiem or Orlando park!)
Not gonna happen under Iger's watch. Tigerlily and Tinkerbell are persona non-grata in your parks at the moment.
Tokyo Disney makes Orlando Disney look like the dollar store version.
It’s pretty well done even if it’s mostly screen time however all of these are tough to get emotionally invested with it being in Japanese, I’m wondering how you feel Tom
I feel like I'm the only one who sighs at the constant heavy reliance on screens.
First off folks this is the definitive ride video version of this great ride. They establish the outside. The q. The pre show. The awesome ride vehicle. And a very well filmed rock steady version of the actual ride.
I love this ride from home. Even tried 3d glasses (doesn’t work lol) First off without pre show it’s a whopping 6 min and 30 second ride. Compare to spider man. Transformers. Both under 5 min. Secondly the animation and the ride movement and music and story are fantastic. Sure frozen wins. But this is a close second.
Interesting as this may be the first Disney theme park ride that exists in two different parks with a similar story but completely different ride concept. Any other attraction do this?
When i rode Peter pan at WDW in the 77' and many times after... (i thing to myself - what would Walt thing of this new Peter Pan...? I think - he approve... just think into the next 50 years... what will bring...
Nothing beats the original from Disneyland! Walt help design and build that rides unlike any other Peter Pan ride in the world that one is special
Looks like similar ride technology as Universal's The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man & Transformers: The Ride - 3D.
What an innovative idea to keep with Walt’s Legacy. Crazy how the USA based parks are going in the opposite direction by introducing stuff thats not really Disney just purchased IPs.
The drop scene is straight out of Runaway Railway. Nice ride!
