The Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 400 Rearset Kit uses a design specific to the New Ninja 400 rather than trying to get an existing design to work with the Ninja. Woodcraft has a unique relationship with Kawasaki (the owner also runs a race school that rides on Kawasaki's) so he rides and races on their bikes. When designing a new range of parts the more time and exposure you have with the bike the better the end result will be. We have installed all of the Kawasaki Ninja 400 parts from Woodcraft at this point and really like what we see. This rearset kit is a great example of just how good Woodcraft is at what they do.
With 12 positions of adjustment available this kit will get you the ground clearance you need to corner low and help you dial in the ergos to suit your style. On the shift side of the kit you are able to choose from standard or GP shift pattern without installing any additional parts. (Note: we found the front sprocket cover needs to be trimmed a touch for GP shift). The only thing we would like to have seen added to this kit was for the OEM brake light switch to fit which is nice for street riders. End of the day this can be overcome by using a brake light banjo bolt if you require the rear brake light to be functional.
The new hot bike to have for the 2018 riding season has to be the Kawsasaki Ninja EX400! Woodcraft has worked hard to release rearsets for the Ninja 400, featuring the same quality and finish that makes up the rest of their offerings! They are made from tough, aircraft grade 6061 T6 Aluminum and are much stronger than the OEM brackets. This kit is designed for the new EX400 to give you the optimum foot position and ground clearance for racing. This kit offers 12 positions adjustability from 25 to 50mm up and 35 to 54mm back. Will come with an integrated shift heel guard.

Thank you for making this video. I am now in the market for rearsets. I am almost done getting my bike track ready now, and rearsets are what I need to complete the package. Thank you again for putting in the hard work and taking the time to make these video. I look forward to your next video.
You are welcome and thank you for watching! - Brian Van
I appreciate explaining the reasons why someone might want to get aftermarket rearsets
Happy to hear this was helpful and thank you for watching! - Van
Get some glasses my dude, I avoided it for a while but it was one of the best decisions I've ever made
I got a pair a couple months back and use them to work on the bikes now. Getting old is awesome. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear wow, shit, I didn't expect a reply lol. thanks for making all this awesome content for 400 owners/modders!
Do u have any tutorials on how to install banjo pressure cables? Thanks
We have several brake videos on the page in this link: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/kawasaki-ninja-400-stg-project-bike/#brakes

good informative vid as usual
Thank you for watching! - Van
is it possible to get a toepiece more long ?
Woodcraft does not offer an extended toe piece. - Van
I just broke the right side foot peg where can I find it so I can buy it??
Shoot us a call or an email and we can get that taken care of for you. Sorry for the slow response I was out on the West Coast racing for the last three weeks. - Van
Great video, very informative bro. I actually bought this rear set because of THIS video!!
The "51 times threadlocker" had me rolling😂😂😂😂
So...... what brand do you use?
Appreciate the feedback my brother, happy to help. IMO thread locker from any reputable brand will work fine. I typically use Loctite or Permatex brands, both work as expected. Enjoy that 400! - Brian Van
Can I do this to a new Kawasaki z 400 2022?
These will fit on the Z400 as well. - Van
Did you ever make the video on installing the break light cable?
Sorry to say we did not. End of the day that is a pretty simple install. Just remove the rear brake light switch and cut the harness leaving plenty of wire to attach to the banjo bolt switch you are installing. Trim the wires on the banjo bolt switch to the appropriate length and connect them to the harness from the bike (butt connectors, solder etc...). Install the banjo bolt, plug it into the bike side harness and bleed the brakes. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear what size?
Using the same Hindle Exhaust and Woodcraft rearsets the exhaust pipe touches the bottom of the rearset.
That’s using stock rear peg mount. Does the race bracket change the location a little?
I do not remember running into this issue. For our install we already had the Hindle on the bike with the race bracket. Here is a link to a pic on our site:

Based on this I feel the race mount bracket would solve this problem. If you need more help please email the team on orders@sportbiketrackgear.com and they will get you sorted out. - Van
im interested to know how you like riding the 400.
If you don’t install the banjo bolt switch, will the brake light still light up using the front brake?
The brake light will still illuminate when the front brake is applied. - Van
I installed some woodcraft rear sets on my ninja 400. What size and spec on the banjo wire do I need , so my brake lights will work?
The Ninja 400 should use the coarse thread banjo. Here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/woodcraft-coarse-thread-brake-pressure-switch/
i dont see any peg adjustability on the 05-0220b rearset model, any idea if they adjust?
This kit is not adjustable, they have a fixed position that puts the pegs in the optimal position for track riding and racing. If you want an adjustable kit check out the Vortex kit for your bike. - Van
What size return spring goes on the 400?
www.sportbiketrackgear.com/woodcraft-brake-pedal-return-spring/
The W09-7125 1.25 inch fits the Ninja 400. - Van
Who makes that muffler bracket?
That bracket comes with the Hindle full system for the Ninja 400. Here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/hindle-kawasaki-ninja-400-2018-evo-megaphone-full-exhaust-system/

Hi Van, I have an 2022 kawasaki ninja 400 KRT edition, so I installed a toce razor tip full exhaust system. I would like to know which kind of rearsets I could use to non affect my exhaust mount support. Thanks you.
What is a Toce razor tip full exhaust? Is that some China knock off stuff? - Van
Hey BV, so to change the foot peg position, do you have to take the whole assembly off the bike to access the bolt to undo the peg?
You will need to remove the main bracket from the bike to access the footpeg bolt on the back side for sure. - Van
What size banjo switch did you use on the 400 M10x1.00 or M10x1.25?
Hi Van, thank you for the video. I know you have a few different rearsets in stock for the N400. Which would you recommend the most? The Woodcraft, Vortex, or another?
While I like all of the brands I will say we have been running the Vortex on our 400's. - Van
The Price for these Rearsets makes your eyes water , i feel they are really ripping 400 owners off big time.
Over £500 to buy in U.K
The Word Parasite comes to mind , suck the blood out of you.
It's making me think twice about buying this Bike , there is a red line and they have crossed it !!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking of the 300 instead , they will be cheap as chips compared to this and for the price of a new 400 i could make the 300 a full racer.
