Just installed mine. This instructional video helped out immensely. Just 2 tips for anyone installing this: Use a J.I.S. screwdriver (Japanese Industrial Standard). It looks almost exactly like a Phillips, but it acts much differently. It is designed to not cam out and to not strip. The Phillips was created to cam out so you don’t damage whatever you’re screwing into, such as sheet metal. From what I’ve researched, it was invented because workers kept over tightening screws in war aircrafts and were digging into the sheet metal on the planes. My J.I.S. screwdrivers have a lug on the end of them so you can attach a racket if you wanted to so you could really crank down on the screws. For the turn signals, I went in at an angle and tightened down as hard as I could, and didn’t slip, strip, or cam out at all. For the second tip: Lick your finger and coat all the rubber with saliva before working those pieces in. They go in so much easier. I know that sounds perv, but it works. Thanks again Vagabond for this video, I absolutely love this product. My bike looks so good now!
Outstanding! Ordered on the 18th for my 2021 Ninja 400. Shipped on 19th, received and installed on the 19th. Only three bugaboos... unplugging the license place light, the rubber grommet underneath and then re-plugging the license plate light back in. Those three added some time to a very easy, very clean install. Thanks for a great video and product.
Just like to say I just received my fender kit and with this video and your excellent buying and shipping process you guys made this a great exspierance...i will highly recommend your product to everyone I know... 5 stars ecellent.!!!!! 2018 ninja 400 kit
Thank you for such a simple kit. Incredibly easy and this typical klutz finds some way to screw it up yet it looks great and I got lucky I didn't need any spare screws or parts.
This video helped me immensely with my Z400. Which is basically a Ninja in a cocktail dress. Haha. It was great for figuring out how it all comes apart.
I just installed this on my 2022 Ninja 400 KRT bike. Very easy to install and looks great! Nice and sturdy and probably the best deal out there. Much less than other options. The only thing that took time was getting the turn signals popped in as it was a little tricky for the first signal and then the second signal went in much easier (after I got the hand of it). I did have to cut out 2 rubber pieces (served as washers for the lic plate mount on the OEM fender) since there were no washers that would work with the lic plate light mount on the new setup. I basically cut the rubber pieces in half and two 1/2 pieces as washers on the inside in order to tighten down the lic plate light mounting screws (wouldn't have worked without the rubber pieces). Note: This unit was about $29 on Amazon. Not sure why the huge price difference between the website and Amazon but it's the same unit with directions and parts.
Just got finished installing on my 2022 Ninja 400. Very tight fits. Struggled a little with putting the one taillight in. But the other went in with ease. Would highly recommend.
FYI, if you strip the screws on the turn signals like I did, you can pop off the metal bracket thats sits on top of the rubber piece with a flat head then pop it back on. LISTEN to this man when he tells you to use a U joint lol
I found this video trying to figure out why I couldn't get them off and stripped them both so I just stuck stock back on. Was looking into aftermarket just to solve it.
How did you get that grommet into that square at 25:25????? My fingers are literally swollen from trying to get that thing in there. I think the one I have is a bit big, do you know size you used? Thank you!
this looks great and the price is so much better then the competitors. does your fender eliminator allow for aftermarket turn signals if one wanted to upgrade to the LED ones?
I got it to fit on the ninja 500 SE 2024, but you will have to remove the black box under the tail, because it's a millimeter too large for the hole in the fender eliminator...
This looks very good! Do you offer a similar kit for the Ninja 300? The ones I've seen so far doesn't come with the ability to keep my original Kawasaki blinkers, and requires to change the tail-light to one with integrated blinkers..
Is there a separate Fender where I can install different Turn Signals? More specifically TST Turn Pods. I see that the r3 Fender is possible but for the Ninja 400, the hole is too big
This thing is great , l installed it on my bike monthes ago...well made at a great price and was shipped fast. Looks sharp on the bike getting rid of that ugly stock piece this thing is well made... buy it and you won't regret it.
I believe that this fender eliminator was intended for the track bacause your whole back is going to get soaked and mud,,,,,, try it and I hope it never rains when you ride.😅
I really wish tst would just release their integrated tail light so then all you need is a light for plate and call it a day and you wouldn't have these massive signals
No, there from guys like me who don't want to use the ugly turn signal lights. The eliminator only gives you the option to use the ugly stock turn signals and license plate light.
@@aromero9243then purchase a different product?? Why were you even here lmao This video and their product does great for people who don’t mind the stalk blinkers
So i completely stripped one of the screws holding in one of the turn signals and ive tried every method to get it out and nothing is working. I have no idea what to do now
Whats this? www.amazon.com/VM-KN410-Fender-Eliminator-Kawasaki-Ninja/dp/B07WS5KDZ5. You guys aren't selling this on Amazon under Vagabond, but this looks like its spot on and 1/2 the price. Are you now selling thru other vendors?
sir i just want to ask a few question 1. is it ok to put a ON/OFF switch connecting the headlight of kawasaki 400? 2. the stock size of the rear tire of kawasaki 400 is 150/60/17r is it ok if im going to change it into 160/60/17 or 160/70/17, is that cannot be affect the function of the ABS sir and the speedometer.?
This should. The Z400 from the seat back IS a Nija 400. When I bought my Z400 last week it was right next to a Ninja 400. I'm betting every step and part in the tail is identical.
Just an idea for you...if you need a reflector can you use reflective tape? If it's legal run reflective tape along the entire outside. Then you have larger reflective surface with minimal intrusion.
At $70, this is a bit steep for a simple laser cut metal bracket that is painted. I know there was some research involved in this, how much was from scratch or from looking at others who came before, but dang....I see about $5.00 in materials here. Maybe I need to buy a few from a couple of different vendors, pic and choose features, throw in a few of my own then draw it up in Fusion 360 and have my kid who works in a machine shop cut me some samples and then sell them for $30-50..... make it top quality and undercut the competition. lol

SOLD! Take my money. So far this is the easiest and most straight forward option i've seen yet.
I bought it and it works great for the 2019 z400 aswell!!
Thanks for the update because I have a Kawasaki z 400 2022 .
Not gonna lie, wanted this product but wasn't going to purchase today until I heard "Available with prime"
Excited to install!

This video helped me install a kit. Thank you
Brilliant! Thank you for including the fender removal instructions! I’m looking forward to installing this next weekend.
This was so helpful! Just installed mine today and your video was spot on! Thanks!!!
Holy shit this video and fender kit rock, perfect fitment and explanation. my second vagabond kit a1!!

Bought, fitted easily would highly recommend

Thanks again bsafe .....
Can’t get these for love or money. They are a cracking bit of kit.
Worked great on my 2021 Z400. Thank you
Highly recommend. Have the Vagabond FE's on my RC390 and SV650.

Great Video! I'm doing this to my Z400 now.

Great in depth video. Thank you sir

Excellent! Thank you.
this looks great and the price is so much better then the competitors. does your fender eliminator allow for aftermarket turn signals if one wanted to upgrade to the LED ones?
This kit looks awesome, but you made it only to US plate standarts..In my country the plate is much bigger than that. Or can i just drill it?
I got it to fit on the ninja 500 SE 2024, but you will have to remove the black box under the tail, because it's a millimeter too large for the hole in the fender eliminator...
You should remove the black tray to allow you to have more room when connecting the wires! But hands down the best fender eliminator kit ive seen!
Amazing video ! Thanks
Hey guys, any idea about the size of that rubber grommet? My fender eliminator did not come with that and I plan to just get one myself.
New Zealand Plate is Nearly 10 inches wide. Will it interfere with the Indicators?
Does this mount work for the 2024 ninja 500?
What size are the plate for the license plate ?
Make a video how to instal the single sitter..?? Thanks for the video
This looks very good! Do you offer a similar kit for the Ninja 300?

Look up motodynamics
Is there a separate Fender where I can install different Turn Signals? More specifically TST Turn Pods. I see that the r3 Fender is possible but for the Ninja 400, the hole is too big
I'm sure you've solved this but tst has parts to do it
Thank you for video!
Doesn’t it need a white license plate light?
This thing is great , l installed it on my bike monthes ago...well made at a great price and was shipped fast. Looks sharp on the bike getting rid of that ugly stock piece this thing is well made... buy it and you won't regret it.
Do you guys ship to Canada?
Is this compatible with the z400?
Hello guys is there any chance I can fit licence plate which is 24cm wide (9,4 inches)?
I believe that this fender eliminator was intended for the track bacause your whole back is going to get soaked and mud,,,,,, try it and I hope it never rains when you ride.😅
I really wish tst would just release their integrated tail light so then all you need is a light for plate and call it a day and you wouldn't have these massive signals
Actually, once you install this mod..the lights don't seem to look all that large..to me..
by law the blinkers cant be integrated into tail light. Google it, its a ticket.
The down votes are from the companies that are charging twice as much for there fender eliminators.
No, there from guys like me who don't want to use the ugly turn signal lights. The eliminator only gives you the option to use the ugly stock turn signals and license plate light.

I stripped one of the bolts from the fender😞😞
So i completely stripped one of the screws holding in one of the turn signals and ive tried every method to get it out and nothing is working. I have no idea what to do now
Dremel a slit into it and use a flat head.
Great video..
Does this work with a 2023?
It certainly does :)
@@VagabondMotorsports thanks! I’ll be ordering soon
sir do you have an idea if how long the life span of LED headlights in kawasaki 400.?
why would he know that?
Thank you. Walked me through it. Gonna sub and like
Removed one turn signal from the factory fender no problem. Now the 2nd one stripped like some kind of MONSTER screwed it in so hard WTF.
SAME!!!
im pretty sure a powder coating should'nt be able to just rub off !
Life saver!
Does this work on the 2023 Ninja??
Yes. I also have a 2023, and just finished installing it a few hours ago. Looks great!
I can't find this in stock anywhere!!
Amazon prime
Will this video work the same for the 650? I ordered this product but I have a 650 :/ oops

1. is it ok to put a ON/OFF switch connecting the headlight of kawasaki 400?
2. the stock size of the rear tire of kawasaki 400 is 150/60/17r
is it ok if im going to change it into 160/60/17 or 160/70/17,
is that cannot be affect the function of the ABS sir and the speedometer.?
Why? Why do people ask totally irrelevant questions? Google is your friend, ask him.
HINT: Swab the inside of the grommet with vegetable oil (NOT petroleum based oil), and your cable fittings will slip through easily.
Will this fit a 2019 kawasaki z400?

Why not make the bracket so that you can put whatever aftermarket license plate light or turn signals you want? This eliminator is basic and boring.
