I shoot 125s, bullets touch in the group at 25 yards shot off sand bags. On my GP 100, I replaced the block-style front sight and replaced it with a beade-style of front sight and a v notch on the rear sight. This makes for a very fine hold on targets at extended ranges. 17.8g of H110 with any 125g Jacketed bullet with a cci 550 is very, very accurate at 1750-1800 fps. For goodness sakes, if you are shooting for accuracy, sort your brass by brand.
I know it’s an old video but I have the same GP100 awesome pistol I made some hot loads with H110 I think it was the highest load in the Hornady manual 18.5 with 158 XTP Hornady bullets accurate number nine works good too
Made some Hornady 158 grn with 5.9 of tightgroup and tested loads felt very very light for recoil after each shot I had to check barrel to make sure it was clear out of my 4.25 inch Python will Crono on next range day 👍
I loaded 18.4 grains of H-110 with 125 XTP Hornady bullets pretty strong load but my GP-100 handle it no problem but I think I’m going to back the load to17.9 h 110 also try accurate #9 works well to and don’t need as much
I've done 19 grains of H110. It had a great big boom, huge flash, and sounded like a 12 gauge, but only kicked a little harder than Factory Remington 125 grain SJHP loads. I was shooting it through my 4 inch Ruger SP101.
Maybe 🤔 I’m doing this all wrong but why do you measure from the inside of your furthest shot of your group I always keep myself honest and measure from the outside or if I’m going to cheat the middle of the hole just curious what the thought process was?

I've tried just about every powder bullet combination in the book and for me the 158gr 15.0gr H110 is a good a one for both revolver and long gun.

Sweet looking set up, looks like it can shoot too
Sweet rail.
I so need to get a revolver. Great video 👍🇺🇸
Yes, YES you do. Get a few, they are AWESOME!
Great video and great information

May I ask what rail that is you have on your GP100?
158 grain, h110 powder, 357 magnum, i load with 15 grains.
Watching this bc Im looking for load data for TiteGroup powder in .38 special 2" barrel revolver.
.... You're firing 357 Mag cartrages?
how much crimping did you do on the 38 special 125Grain tightgroup
I loaded some with 18.4 gr of H-110 haven’t tried it yet but it’s right out of the manual with 125 XTP bullet how high have you gone ?

Be careful not to burn your finger!!!

You should always measure from center to center of your two furthest away shots
Center of one hole to the center of the other
@@Lawnmower-os5pg yeah that’s what I thought hints why I asked the question after watching this video 😉
4:59 He is measuring from outside to inside of furthest holes, which is the same thing as middle to middle. Old engineering trick.
You can also just do outside and subtract bullet diameter and that will center.
