    Hi everyone wait how do I do the hot water acetone? I don’t want to buy the steamer yet till I get back home ! Thanks!!❤

    • @addicted2pinknails
      @addicted2pinknails  Год назад

      Hi!! Basically, there is a heating element inside the steamer that heats up the acetone to speed up the removal process. You can replicate this by using a nail soaking bowl. It has 2 pieces. You can put hot water in the bottom peace (please be careful not to burn yourself) and put acetone in the finger trays. Be sure to cover your hands and soaking tray with a towel. I hope this helps.

    What nail drill do you use??

      The brand is Airsee. It's the same drill as Melody Susie just a different name. I purchased it from Amazon.

    Soft Gel tips are plastic, gel is simply uv cured plastic, acrylic with monomer is also plastic, its all plastic and that's OK.

    • @addicted2pinknails
      @addicted2pinknails  Год назад +1

      Thanks for your comment! There is a difference between traditional plastic tips and tips marketed as gel tips. "Gel tips" are extremely durable and hard to bend. As you stated because they are made using a Gel product. Plastic full cover tips are similar to traditional nail tips and bend very easily, which leaves a white line where the tip was bent. You are correct, either are ok based on user preference. However, my preference is gel tips. 💖

    • @avivamae5171
      @avivamae5171 Год назад +1

      @Addicted2pinknails there is a difference, for sure, but the actual chemical makeup of the 2 plastics is the same, and most of the manufacturing process is the same. The difference simply comes from differences in shape, thickness, size, design, quality of the material, and what is expected by consumers based on the standards and norms set by the industry and consumer understanding, but they are made of the same type of material. The whole white line thing comes down to differences in quality, shape and design and not if its truly gel or not, it's a common and wide spread misconception.I think I remember young nails actually sending the various types off to a chemist to prove the point. Like you I too prefer full cover tips marketed as soft gel or soak off (even though I use my e-file).
      The only reason I mention any of this is some of these companies are trying to make it sound like they produce their soft gel full cover tips but filling a mold with gel ans curing it in uv light exactly loke we do with soft gel when Sculpting and thats not the case and it bothers me that they play with the wording to make people think that may be the case.
      I've really liked your channel and enjoy seeing you use rubber base coat! :)

      @Avivamae I completely understand and agree with you on the marketing gimmicks. In this video I was speaking of quality not chemical makeup. The quality of the tip definitely makes a difference. Thank you so much for being a long time supporter!! 🤗 I greatly appreciate your positive dialog! 💖

    Have you ever had luck using a peel off base first?

    • @addicted2pinknails
      @addicted2pinknails  Год назад +1

      I use peel off base if I'm just doing a nail design for filming purposes. I can barely file without the nail popping off. Lol I wouldn't suggest it unless you're going to change the design in a few days.
