Guess all is well. It does seem like keeping fuel out of the cab is a good idea, even if it is not historically correct.
As a young man, I would think Matt would be able to pump that thing all day 🤣😅😂
Orwell sounds so good!
The white painted cat engines just like our company's cabovers had.
Steve that is a beautiful truck! Going down the road👍
This weekend a good project would be to paint the drive wheels. Gloss white rustoleum. Put down the red oxide primer first and use a brush for both applications. It goes on and finishes silky smooth. Be sure to stir the contents thoroughly to get the solids mixed in the paint.
Glad to see you and Matt working on Orwell. Sounds great as it should one more problem fixed,
Nice job Steve nice job training Matt well too that's good I like to see that teaching the young inside to do this stuff.
What's next you going to get rid of that rusty old rim and tire?
Chrome don’t get ya home
You can't see it when your'e in it!
Good to see you an Orwell again buddy
DAMN Orwell looks Good coming down the road even with the Ugly Rim lol. Awesome video as always
Good job putting on the pump, sounds great running 3406B motor. That’s the motor I got 3406B , I am going to go Thur the motor to make sure it is running good. Well see y’all next time have a great one see ya by.
When the black smoke is not comming out of that b model , somethings not right, I drove one for many years , thats just how it is, My R model Mack with a 300, and 6 spd. was the same way but worse. Means your in the power band.
Looks great !!!!
Get a transducer for the fuel pressure, then you can go electric from the rail to gauge.
Oh No! A modern fuel gauge in a Peterbilt! What's the world coming to?
definitely go with the electric one steve, don't make the same mistake twice
I subscribed on this channel too. I love the mechanical part.
If you don't put a snubber in your fuel psi line. A mechanical gauge will not last. Cat has a TEN article July of 1985 to address this problem. Put a bunch in. The one I like to use is a 7S3795, had better luck with this one.
I suspect your problem with the gauges was an over pressure problem. You may have solved that with the relief valve.
Orwell sounds good.
I love that sound
I like the air intake and battery box set up love it 👍
You still have the yellow Pete. You should keep it and put the Detroit into it. Make for a bad ass show rig!
There has been a lot of Pete cab overs on utube lately!
Great work
Sounds good Steve and Matt now if you could get the gauges fixed. are there any electric ones ? that would keep fuel out but y'all stay safe keep the video's coming
You gotta take time and paint the back rims
Orwell sounds a little stronger definitely...pulling harder
What up Steve
C'mon Steve, when are you gonna change or paint that rusty wheel on Orwell ? :-)
Is the yellow Pete the new home of the buzzin duzzin? :)
Okay now that left out side front drive wheel don't pull Orwell out of the shop till that's done .....rahure
Still got that yellow 352 hanging out huh
Put a clock in the hole, and ride!
Orwell sounds whole lot better
Good day my 3406 keep cutting off I change all the lines new prime pump we're can I check now
Why does Orwell belch black smoke?
Mechanical engine with the FRC set rich.
1st
good luck
Who cares
What can be the symptoms of a bad fuel transfer pump ? My 3406 sputters for like 5 seconds when loaded in a slope
Electric is definitely the way to go!
My question got deleted? Hope not
If you can help me out figuring this out. I got a 1990 377 with a 3406B Cat. I lose power going up any hill, regardless if I am loaded or empty. I've replaced all of the fuel lines and turbo and air to air. No boost leaks and no exhaust leaks. I did replaced the fuel transfer pump. CAN you help out bro? Thanks
Hey what serial number turbo is it
What final drive ratio you have on Orwell ?.
Saw another Peterbilt parked at outside the shop. When are you starting to overhaul it ? Does it get the Motor in the shop that you are rebuilding ?
It’s sold but abandoned at Steve’s shop
How much pressure fuel pressure are you supposed to see at the top of the filter with a gauge ?
what was truck doin to make you replace the pump?
Awsome truck. N stay from the chinesiom.lol
Is that the 7FB??
I had not idea how complicated a diesel’s fuel system is.
When are you coming to fix your sound in the truck?? It's bad
Please for god sake change out those rims.
New wheels cost a lot of 💰
@@mintyman1968 you can get them used all over the place dirt cheap
I like the rusty wheel. Looks cool
I bought used wheels and they where in great condition, for 50 dollars a rim, then got them polished. You can find them at any semi junk yard
OK, yalls... Lemme help you out...RUclips is all about " Interaction "... If thangs were perfect, yalls would be bored and not " interact"...Or complain...All RUclipsrs leave summin undone for you to whine and complaints about... Thus mo" "Interaction"... Plus, I thinks he likes the rims like that...Shows he's not a " perfect" guy, just like the truck... That'll be $300.00 USD for my analysis... Cash Only...No chx, charge, or credit cards...He he..!!!
Time to retire that black smoke beast put a DEF system on it lol
You don't want a DEF system more trouble than it's worth. Our company has a truck in the shop for an SCR sensor International says it will be 3 weeks before the part will be in to fix it the truck has 150,000 miles on it. DEF systems are a money maker for truck service companies. You can't just replace the sensor you have to replace the entire unit that the sensor is in. Cost around $850 bucks before labor plus the cost you loose not making money because the wheels are not turning. I would rather have money going up in smoke versus trying to get parts to fix it.
