    Michael thank you very much for sharing this! I agree with Enrique's comment posted earlier, that you provide an example of a channel that posts consistently, and the eventual growth from it. While there are channels out there that garner a large number of subscribers overnight, I actually found your analytics very encouraging, especially the analytics from the first few months where it seemed relatively little growth (in comparison to where you are now) was happening. It gives hope for other smaller channels, and tells the story of persistence, hard work, and dedication, opposed to hoping for that one viral video to grow a channel.

      thank you so so much for your feedback! Hard work will always pay off but in time! perseverance is key :) small channels should never rely on viral videos because this will change your work attitude and the quality of your videos will suffer. The first 8 months were very very slow indeed

    Thanks so much for these tips. I'm an independent artist and just starting out with building an audience on RUclips. I loved what you said about researching content gaps and finding more ways to create value. So helpful! This video of yours certainly created value for me 😊 Wishing you lots of success on your journey 🎉

    Without a doubt, your channel is a clear example of how RUclips rewards quantity and consistency. 151 videos in 1 year is a huge amount of content that involves a lot of time that most people can't dedicate. In my channel for example, I only do cover performances and it took me about 4 years to monetize the channel, uploading 1 video a month.

      Thanks for your feedback, Enrique! are you able to monetize your content since you are posting covers? :)

    Thank you, Michael, for this video. I am sure it will help many who are trying to get their work recognized on RUclips. You explain the process very well and you have put a lot of thought into this video. Your passion to teach others is almost as strong as your passion to share your interpretations of all the compositions that you play. This video was akin to a one on one sit down conversation with each of us. Keep those keys warm with your beautiful music, my friend and let the subscriber numbers soon reach 2K.

    Good to see your channel growing successfully. Well deserved.
    Thanks also for this video - it's been very helpful.
    The main problem with my channel has been 1) Consistency (there was even a period of 5 years when I uploaded nothing).
    I've also wondered how much I should diversify as a musician, but this vid has helped answer that.
    Lots of useful info here that I will certainly take on board with my future uploads.

    This video is very helpful, and it's very generous of you to share your analytics and advice. I started a channel for my piano compositions, and finding subscribers is hard work. I've gotten some subscribers through social networking and google ads, but very few through the algorithm so far. It's good to see how much you could accomplish with consistent uploads.

  • @chewiespiano9386

    Thanks Michael!! Really informative video. The most important fact is consistancy... I have a really demanding job who is pretty stressful as a trauma surgeon and working 60-70h a week. So I need to find a way to produce more videos. But the process of learning/filming/editing/posting a video also can even take 30 h ... Do you have an idea of "valuable" content that I could produce that takes a bit less time? What about shorts for example. Did you tried it before?

    • @pardonmypiano
      @pardonmypiano  2 года назад

      wow, you are working a lot! I have found a way to be very efficient when I need to edit my videos. Shorts is a good example but it will be hard to monetize your channel only with shorts. Most leads come from actual videos descriptions :) you can maybe try composing easy pieces for piano solo? That's what I will be focusing on in the near future. You can also sell them

  • @logannslm1593
    @logannslm1593 Месяц назад

    Quick question : can you monetize videos where you would play, for instance, Pathetic sonata from Beethoven or any Chopin Nocturne? Or is classical music impossible to monetize?

  • @YotamPiano
    @YotamPiano 2 года назад +1

    godlike tips! duuno how I didn't see this video before. I look at your success and would like to mimic it. Do I need to have your high grade camera, camera slider, super cool background etc. in order to succeed? I'm also not a classical musician so unless it's my own stuff (which are unknown therefore won't get searched) if I wanna include jazz and pop music in some way or another in my vids - even as part of an educational video, it would get demonitized :( You prolly don't realize how much motivating your channel is to me my friend

    • @pardonmypiano
      @pardonmypiano  2 года назад

      I am so happy to hear that my channel is motivating! Honestly, it is hard to pinpoint which factor contributes to success... also, how we define success is also a big question :) What I would say is that you should always have in mind that you are serving an audience and not the other way around. So whatever you do, make sure it is adding some value to your future audience
