If Kuro didn't threaten Hololive when he had over a million subs and was a trendsetter in their greatest competition, he's not going to threaten them now lol. Very different niches
I di belive if someone graduates from Holo becaus of burnout, it would be real burnout and will probably don't see that person in years or even ever, so i don;t think this will affect Holo, i mean every fed up NijiEn memeber just saw that you can graduate and go to a company with better treatment easily, most if the names that graduate are the big ones like Vox, Selen or Pomu.
@@DepressedNousagi No no, you got a point, but Vshojo was a threat to Hololive since Kson, not kuro, a talent can fuck off if they feel mistreated by Holo management and join Vshojo with little to no issue, let's remember that Korone was asked to do stuff by Hololive while in medical leave and a manager made pekora cry because of a canceled event while giving her little to no reason. Vshojo and Kson are a symbolic gun to cover's head at all times saying ''Treat your talents right or I'll do it for you'' since then the only sin Holo management had done was the weird and horny Hololive summer MV and nothing else.
@@carrot708 general point was mostly bc vshojo as a whole can threaten any of the big vtuber agencies, now with how blatant they are at being able to freely poach any single one of their talents if they are unhappy. Tho 100% Niji is more vulnerable to this than Hololive since the girls in Holo seem to have no problems with the agency atm lmao. At least, not publicly Edit: Kson, however, is an entirely story. She is to Holo what Kuro is to NijiEN
In his debut before listing the rules, Kuro specified he doesn’t have a nsfw tag and doesn’t want nsfw in his art tag because he doesn’t “want to attract the type of fans it garners”. He def was sick of the crazy fans
The day someone like Selen leaves should be celebrated. Not because "she's gone woooooo", but because she'll finally be free, and she'll be able to do the things management didn't want her to do. Like everyone always says: "Love the talents, loathe the company."
Selen most likely would retire from streaming period and never join an agency ever again when she graduates. She's just not the type to continue after that. She's not close at all to the VShojo girls and she wouldn't want to be surrounded by strangers again.
Trust me I'm hoping selen and pomu get out of nijisanji because pomu would be perfect for hololive think of potential collabs between kiara, nerissa, pomu. For selen I hope vspo en turn out well because that's literally the most perfect place for her and the things she does and for selen to meet other gamer girls who is just as good as her or better at apex.
Honestly despite losing 3 big members, that honestly werent interacting with the rest of the members much, this year is in a pace be a net positive for Vshojo since they can pickup any niji EN graduates But its not vshojo or kuro who's threatening NijiEN, its their own incompetence in managing, vshojo's just here to give second chances to people that want somthing better for themselves
Agreed, I'm more concerned with how many waves they're unleashing over Kuro poaching viewers. They're spreading themselves too thin with how many people they have under EN alone.
Mark my words nina going to be in vshojo in a couple months and shu or selen will graduate this year reasons for selen vspo is literally the perfect place for selen and management done her wrong twice for shu he seems some what frustrated with management and I see him joing vshojo as well.
@@kinglightning5256The EN concert being cancelled and the management screwing around is reason enough for Shu I think. If Selen hasn’t left the company after everything’s the managements done, I don’t think she’ll ever leave.
@Rar830 with selen I don't think she's leaving anytime soon because she just had a new outfit and she set goals on what she wanna do next year on Twitter and also as selen she's really well known in the apex community. If I'm selen if I'm talking to vspo or I'm going to see will vspo en do solid for me wanting to leave. For selen sure if she left she would still be able to collab with apex pros but selen wouldn't be able to join the for fun apex tournaments she gets invited to and probably wouldn't be able to stream the apex tournament on Twitch.
@@fwiffo Well Magni and Vesper's quitting is their own decision that so far has no negative drama... They just decided not to renew their contracts... I haven't heard of them airing out that Holo's management is bad or anything... Restrictive sure... I think the only reason that Selen is still staying is that most likely management giving her a looser leash... Esp. from the backlash with how they made bad calls with her and her fanbase... (The contest is the one I am remembering)
''Mista wasn't burnt out from vtubing, he was burnt out from Nijisanji.'' And so was Nina. I remember her being unhappy with management after one stream (right before her final break). She came back and announced graduation, and said that it has totally nothing to do with management. Her Graduation notice did however read like she wants to still grow as an internet personality, but on her own terms, and not under a company. So yeah, it does seem like vtubers who quit Niji, are not tired of streaming, they just see greener pastries outside of Niji.
I'm gonna need sources for that because the common knowledge about Nina is that she graduated because she's done from streaming and just wants to enjoy her adult life. That's exactly why she hasn't redebuted as an indie or in any other company.
@@GriseWeisshark that's not common knowledge, that's just speculation. Fact is that she couldn't say either way because of her contract, but her graduation notice leaned more towards her wanting to do her own thing outside of a corpo.
@@transformersrevenge9 Now that's more of a speculation and you don't have anything to back it. As the other person above said, she has been travelling and visiting her friends. If she wanted to return to streaming, we would have news about it by now. She also mentioned before that she got frustrated because she's not growing numbers-wise compared to her genmates so restarting all over again either as an indie or another corpo vtuber will just repeat that problem for her. Just say that you all just want to paint the company black even when she graduated in good terms and even if 30+ members still stayed when people are saying "BlAcK cOmPaNy hUrR dUrR" allegations.
He's the first domino to fall, but I don't think his side-switch alone is enough. I don't know how many people share this opinion, but I think Selen is the ultimate key here, and kinda the last ace of NijiEN. She's basically the one man army absolute content machine of the branch. I'd go as far as calling her the most valuable member there, even with her ideas severely limited by management. Not in a financial but in a symbolical sense. If she were to graduate, Vshojo would be waiting on the NijiHQ doorstep to recruit her, hell, I can even easily imagine Hololive making some drastic decisions to take her in without a full new gen ready. She's an extremely talented content creator as is, but on top of that she absolutely has the ability to be the bridge between the vtuber and esport circles, two communities that aren't too far from each other but have only a relatively small intersection. Unless Nijisanji has a return to Jesus moment, they'll lose her, she'll 100% join another corpo, and will 100% make the waves she's held back from making in Niji. I think that is the point where NijiEN's gradual decay would become irreversible. Edit, 2024/02/05: "Boy, this aged way better than I wish it did...."
Imo if selen and pomu leaves HUGE blows for nijisanji en because those are the two nobody's hates. But if Vox leaves nijisanji en is officially dead if there biggest member leaves with just being with them a year and a half and luxium losing another member nijisanji en market will go down and will never reach the numbers they once had never again because after all this drama nijisanji en has had they will never have another wave that will be as big as luxium and highly unlikely another en member that will be as big as mysta and vox.
Cover taking another nijisanji talent will be adding salt into their wounds. It happen with Luna. Started as Niji JP and now she's a popular baby in HoloJP
I remember that leaker that correctly said that Nina would leave said Selen would do the same, but she and Pomu collabed with their outfits and even got a game made for them, maybe something changed for her.
@@lucasLSD Maybe they reached not necessarily "come to Jesus" moment, as OP said, but rather "oh crap, we lose another one it's jover" and are trying to keep remaining EN talents by allowing them some autonomy. I guess if Selen's next big idea comes through without any changes or limits, we will be closer to an answer.
When a vtuber leaves an agency, the only thing that makes me sad is the lose of interactions with the other members, the fun collabs etc. At the same time, I'm really glad that we can see them around, even if they're in another form. I'm just waiting for a certain orc/not vampire to show again with a vshoujo logo... just saying...
1, Kuro is basically pewdiepie’ing, posts whatever he wants whenever he wants. He already got the bag and is now just doing what he loves, content creation. He said it himself in the debut stream, “there are going to be IRL streams, IRL videos. I’m not just vtubing.” 2, I believe he initially wanted to go indie, and had he not felt indebted to gunrun (who was helping altruistically imo) would have. Just because the model has been in the works for a long time doesn’t mean he was thinking of jumping ships at that time. It was only when his finances began to fuck up really bad that he ended up joking vshojo. And correct me if I’m wrong since I have 0 knowledge of UK taxations, but an independent contractor like Kuro and members of certain corporate agencies would have to pay a special kind of tax weekly/biweekly/monthly/bimonthly. And iirc it’s nearly 10% of the yearly profits. And delayed payments (obviously) get penalised. It’s my belief that this is how he got saddled with so debt(?) initially and really needed someone familiar with self-employment legalise to fix, which gunrun is.
for UK tax it's every financial year (april to april). Typically when you're employed the company has to handle the taxes, so he probably didn't realise he's technically freelance, and therefore had to file them himself.
Uk taxation system is not friendly to freelancers, so either you get an accountant or you are bloody good with writing all those self assessment forms, and documentations needed, but for Kuro to get an accountant and they still fuck up his taxes, this is definitely the accountant’s responsibility, last minute notifying deadline of taxes, not advising on possibility of taxes with purchases, what is that accountant doing? Munching on nachos with their legs folded?
The self employment tax in UK is also crazy, I believe he has to surrender up to 40-45% based on his revenue, it doesn't help that he is relatively young and came from a low income background and many people his age do not know how to do self employment taxes
Tbh, uk taxation is taking up a lot, but it takes care of a lot of social benefits. Anyhow, to be working for a company, you’d expect the company would offer some help, or guide you towards someone who does know taxes, especially if it is a great talent of your company. Even though uk’s taxes are difficult, that it is not an excuse to not offer help to your talent.
Man if Selen graduates i'm sure even Cover will find an excuse to try to snatch her and debut a lone member like "we want to experiment with esports content but we dunno if it will work so we just debuted one person" but yeah is most likelye that Vshojo will snatch her, but i can see Selen wanting to go to Holo because of Mumei.
I'm like 20% with the hololive thing say if she does get there she will have drama because selen will 100% want to collab with males. Calli, kronii, towa, ame had to deal with this it's bad to the point that people sending red superchats about there oshis not collabing with males. Irys and Kiara literally gotta tell there fans and some what ask permission to collab with males and also i don't see selen going up on stage dancing and singing jp songs. Trust me I want selen and mumei in the same industry for more collabs with them but knowing selen vspo or vshojo is her best options on what she wanna do.
@@kinglightning5256 What you can get away with in that regard largely comes down to what sort of community and fan culture you foster during the first month or so. Some level of backlash is unavoidable but having a clear stance on the matter from the start prevents the worst of it, as it repels the most mentally ill unicorns before they could become gachis. Not to downplay the occasional harassment let's say Kronii gets, but it's still something a top agency streamer should realistically be able to keep well within hand, unlike the shitstorm that came Rushia's way, or could come let's say Shiori's way. The whiplash from unicorns is mainly affected by how accomodating the community is to them. And that's something the talent has control over in the initial phase. Purely theoretically, if Selen were to join Hololive as an out of order single member, I imagine Cover would take the opportunity to market her more as a streamer than as an idol, and as such hold her to different standards and have different expectation towards her and her community.
@@kinglightning5256 I mean the girls in holo ID collab with guys all the time and it was never a problem, so probably if Selen could change that in EN it would be good. I know Fubuki collab with guys too, she does get the hate but she either doesn’t carr or is big enough already to tank it
I was so sad when Mysta graduated. He was my favorite. I'm happy that he came back as Kuro. I did prefer the name and design of his past persona but I'm happy as long as he is happy. I'm gonna support him regardless of what persona he is gonna take. Behind that screen is still the same person that made me laugh and I could relate to back then.
So the reason he joined vshojo is because his accountant didn't pay his taxes that he paid him to do , then when he failed to pay taxes the interest fucked him up , then the helping hand that saved him resolve it was ironmouse and gunrun , it also didn't help that niji took all the money from merch so he just switched brands.
At least iirc vshojo's deal is that they take all the merch money *and nothing else*. No SC cuts, no membership cuts, and so on. At least this is how i remember one of the girls describing her contract near vshojo's start, but i may be wrong.
@@bonogiamboni4830 i honestly don't remember , it still sure does sound better that he gets all the add and donation money , cause niji takes a lot more than vshojo
Your taxes being messed up feels like you are under a heavy rock when mine finally got figured out I literally felt weight go off my shoulders it takes a toll
seeing some of the rules and boundaries that kuro had to put felt so targeted to his old fanbase💀 honestly, i was always freaked out by some of them. i think part of the reason he got so burnt out was because of them. being treated so weirdly and like babyish? would make me feel pretty disgusting. i really really really hope that with vshojo and a new vtuber identity he'll be able to be more comfortable and get the better fanbase he deserves
what he was saying after announcing his graduation made it pretty clear that most of his issues were with fans (and some were about the restrictions being a corpo vtuber on yt puts on you) but just as he said himself, many didn't listen or took parts of what he was saying that fit the narrative they already had in mind
Yeah this is 100% not a Nijisanji problem, it's a VTuber fan problem and this community right here, the ones analysing everything to the nth degree is the culprit. WE are Mysta's problem.
@@revolvingworld2676Great. Mysta is Mysta's problem, that doesn't stop us from being his problem too and it certainly doesn't make Nijisanji his problem.
@@revolvingworld2676 or maybe..there can be more than one problem which causes issues, one thing doesnt set off something, many things do, it can be him and the fans, plus company management and limits- he seems happier now either way so clearly that all played a part
So one thing you got wrong, he had his model being worked on way before he even met gunrun. It's not because he was thinking of jumping ship to vshoujo from the beginning, but I think gunrun passed him a deal after/while the tax fiasco was being fixed and Kuro felt indebted to him.
I think so? I mean vshojo already liked him for a long time (a lot of people didn't know) and also vshojo is very selective so not everyone can join even if you are graduated or a vet so keep that in mind.
16:58 regarding that, I think the collab would be blocked, probably because Hex Haywire followed Kuro on twitter then unfollowed him for some reason (I only noticed because of a tweet from a private account I followed). Heck, he even tweeted that was probably alluding to Mysta's debut and it was a positive tweet too.
But mika is following kuro just fine tho Is it because shes not technically in the en branch? Or do they just have different managers monitoring their accs and hers didnt rlly care?
@@chantastlc Diff management. They dgaf about ex-IDs and from what we see, EN management's are the one who tends to be overly anal about a lot of shits.
honestly speaking, I thought that Nijisanji would at least treat Luxiem better since they are the ones that brought NijiEN to go viral. but then seeing how cursory they treated mysta, i wonder how bad will the others be treated as well?
Mysta's problem was not really with Nijisanji itself, it was with general corporate rules which prevented him from doing some of the things he wanted to do, as well as the fact that he had a lot of parasocial fans.
If Kuro can recruit the other Niji EN talents to join Vshojo and they agree, and it's happening behind Anycolor's back, then....that's what I call a true threat to Niji and Anycolor.
@@TheDisquietingNight i don't think the ex-nijiEN members are from Japan. Most of them are from western countries. A group disstrack would be fun, but it would be a nightmare when it comes to law (easy lawsuit for defamation and maybe contract breach)
All the big 3 agencies get established people. Iluna was all established people. Exsoleil was mostly established people. Nobody in HoloEN is a newbie creator, some of them were huge indies, others were proffessional entertainers outside of streaming and some were even corpo VTubers. VShojo especially wants established people because They operate on talent freedom. You need people you can trust with a platform and your brand. You can't support someone with all the freedom they advertise if they can't trust you. On the audition bit, they did deliver on it. They chose Haruka. She auditioned and they picked her. People can dislike that all they want, but they did fullfil the auditions and it turns out to not be a good methid for them.
In Haruka's case, for her it was basically a win-win, since she already was friends with a few VShojo girls (especially Zentreya). That's the main reason some people might think she was a nepo hire.
Also has to be someone that they know will get along with the rest of the talent. I mean talent freedom + internal beef would be a potential for desaster. If an agency is based on talent freedom , that agency HAS to be selective about their talent. Not to mention that people can leave whenever they want. Ofc you only get those in that have proven that they can be successful and get along with the rest of the talent (to some degree). You also have to keep in mind that expanding to fast would also be a detriment. When they announced auditions, it was never specified how many people they would be hiering. Perhaps that was a miscommunication. They only had one or to slots, but didn't tell that.. Keeping all of this in mind, getting Haruka was probably not due to nepotism but because she was objectively the best candidate:Someone who is established, won't cause drama and get's along with the other members.
All 3 agencies poached "established" people yes, but what they do after hiring them is the question. You can recruit the number 1 superchatted vtuber and then do nothing to improve their condition, but at least they are free to do whatever they want, positive or destructive. Or poached so-called "established" people but improve their revenue, their work ethics, their fame, etc with strict scheduling like entertainers do. Or just poached everyone and hope they'll strong enough to endure the thorny pavement that is entertainment industry.
@@jinwood nina left because she didnt want to do it anymore made very clear by how shes still chill in showing up on niji streams, mysta left because of the fans made clear by other members and extremely so from vox .
I highly doubt that Kuro will be able to colab with niji. Niji seems very bitter about it from the fact that they allow their talents to follow other vshojo talents but not Kuro and the fact that (as far as I know) no Niji member has even acknowledged Kuro. I don’t think that’s the talents being bitter I think management is just bitter.
Actually Mika from Nijisanji ID is still following Kuro, I was suprised to see that seeing as Hex unfollowed him(likely forced by management) but yeah.
Yeah I saw a few members follow but only a few hours later they unfollowed What I find strange is that Enna, Reimu and Finana are following Matarakan but none of NijiEn are following Kuro
@EeveelutionStorm why would they be embarassed? it's not like they hate their ex employee, if you follow Niji JP some of them already graduated but are still being talked by and went to hangout with their friends who are still in Niji... The only thing not allowed in Niji is to mention the ex liver's new identity just like how all livers in Niji are prohibited to mention their past identity, it's a common norm in vtuber (at least in Japan) because none of Hololive talents also interact and mention Rushia's new identity even tho behind the screen they are still hanging out together as friends
Haruka is actually one of the talents who auditioned. I think what Vshojo might be doing in that regard is seeing how the talent works with their own talents, talking with management, etc. So if you see someone collabing with them a lot, like Geega, this probably is who will eventually be offered a place in it.
Kuro relayed a story about how he was in Tax trouble, and in desperation, he contacted anyone he could think of for help. Ironmouse was one of the few to respond, she said said to talk to Gunrun, who helped him with tax advice. Kuro was impressed on how helpful Mousie and Gunrun were, and how they seemed to care how he was doing.
Honestly I am a fan of the NijiEn talents that they hire, but I absolutely LOATHE NijiEn management. I started using twitch because of Kuro, and if my oshi switched I would be very happy for them getting the fuck out of there. Also about the $350K taxes thing, Kuro has gone on stream and done math problems and genuinely struggled with multiplication facts. He's by far not an idiot, he's a genius at content creation. Kuro was failed by his education system, and I'm not saying that to smear his character, but I'm saying that he didn't get the education he *deserved*. I think this is gonna be similar to hololive before they started to improve. NijiEn will either need to start treating their talents like actual human fucking beings or die out. Your choice NijiEn management :)
Meanwhile in reality, Millie just said a few days ago that she's treated very well in NIjiEN and that you can ask it to most if not all of en about that and they would say the same. Imagine thinking those aren't treated like human beings while those very people can work full time and abandon their old job while having new opportunities they never had before, said by Millie herself. Lmao
I had a feeling around the time Nina announced her graduation that it was long overdue. When people said another big head was falling, I felt like 3 people would be most likely to graduate: Vox because he was burned out, Mysta because of how the Genshin community, his haters and his para social fans ruined his mood and happiness. Mika said basically that she saw it unfolded because she was close to him. But watching clips gives another clue. The last one was Selen because of how management shackled her creativity. If I was her I would be so effing pissed it's not even funny. I don't know how she feels (and despite liking her design knowing doesn't matter to me) but if she leaves I would not be shocked at all
@EeveelutionStorm they actually did manage to doxx him and his family from what I heard and the parasocial fans gave him and Mika especially a hard time instead of just joking along with them or being happy for him A lot of ppl were saying the fault is mainly with Nijisanji, though I personally think it's also fanbases or moreso haters and parasocial fans who feel entitled to dictate the livers lives
@EeveelutionStorm yeah same Probably also bc of the strong rules within the community to "not leak any new/past identities" yk Though it's so stupid cuz one can easily recognize the voices
@EeveelutionStorm thats not entirely true, henya and pomu collabed recently. but it is sad that we definitely wont get to see nijiEN livers collab with kuro or matara
@EeveelutionStorm yep. many were very close to matara too. i love a lot of nijiEN (and mika who is basically a honorary EN member) but i hope she goes to vshojo along with others over time. more freedom there to do what they want, when they want, with who they want. which is unfortunate that it’s come to that for a lot of the fans of various nijilivers.
Nijisanji get what they deserved. Its ashamed because they are great talents to support (for me its now pomu) but its disturbing that those talents are voicing their frustrations about nijisanji. Another hit for them is vox just dips and debut in Vshojo 2-3 months.
Imo a big hit is if selen and pomu leaves because out of everyone in nijisanji en everyone loves those two. But If vox did leave the biggest en member with just being with them a year and a half nijisanji en is dead they will never get a en wave that will be as big as luxium.
@@kinglightning5256 i still can't believe how big luxiem was. It was like suddenly everyone started talking about male vtuber out of nowhere because vtubing was presumed to be a female dominant category. It was like wave after wave that male vtubers started coming into light after luxiem. Vox still remains the biggest male en vtuber, and (correct me if i'm wrong) the only male to be on trash taste. I don't think i'm gonna see a male wave so big soon enough.
Here's hoping it really does make them wake up their ideas Friendly clique or not, if enough big names collab tgt and create a unique/OG event in Vshojo that might be a small gamechanger
If he was a threat think about how now TWO NIJISANJI tubers joined Vshojo in less than a year of leaving the company. First we have Mysta but now we also have FoxMom (Nina) debuting under Vshojo
I’m actually starting to think he joined VShoujo purely for tax reasons (I know nothing about the real world or how taxes work, im not an adult, don’t take what I say too seriously). If VShoujo offered him an actual job contract with benefits and support while Niji is basically freelance, it’d make a lot of sense considering his situation with taxes. He did say he was planning to go indie but for mousey to have changed his mind this drastically there must have been smth in it for him that would be insanely beneficial. Maybe it has to do with Niji being an originally Japanese located company and VShoujo being in the US? Idk I’m talking out of my ass here I’m literally just a 17 yo brazilian that doesn’t know shit lol
Mysta had previously mentioned tax issues and that Niji had recommended a tax guy to help out, that is more than most companies will do. And now Kuro said he never got help for his taxes. Even if you are employed, the company gives you what is mandated and you take care of the rest. I don't even like Nijisanji, but this sounds like Mysta was a bit dumb in my opinion.
@@Plainsburner Not in the UK. Here when you are employed, the employer by law handles the taxes completely - whatever money you get paid is yours, post-tax. I'm glad I clicked your video, as much as I want to stay silent about this topic so that he can enjoy his new identity again. I was having second thoughts and doubts. If Kuro does actually stay in Vshojo as long as he wants and is happy here then I'd love to see how things go for him. I would've wanted him to take a break but seeing him happy again and probably taking the time to recover better by being a vtuber again IN THIS company then I'm happy and proud. I was also surprised about some of the rules like I'm so proud of him being able to start fresh and make new boundaries! Just like on his first official song before he left he like explained the inappropriate lyrics saying he wrote it because it's what we wanna hear while the deep shit is his true words, how he actually feels. So maybe yeah, he did probably feel like he couldn't set boundaries of being sexualized, being called boyfriend names and so on back then.
I don't want to edit this again but I think Kuro might get his 1M goal early again for Twitch and RUclips soon again though, yeah his RUclips sub is lower then his Twitch follows but I'm sure he might reach those goals early again. That's the only doubt I had for him sort of (because he said he'll be here for quite long and that his goal is to get 1M on both in 5 years). But maybe he'll make new sub and follow goals along the way who knows.
Feels like it’s fad decay setting in; the trend setters are stagnating due to bloat, arrogance and festering issues, while the new startups aren’t caring about the environment and are just trying to turn short term profits than play the long game. All together, at least there’s enough people willing to innovate and try different approaches.
Correlation does not imply causation, he might be planning to leave Niji and start a new persona for more than a half-year, yet it does not imply that he wanted to join Vshojo, just before the story about how Mouse and Gunrun helped him, he said he didn't intend to join them.
I think it may depend on the generations? The oldest ones possible. But the most recent ones, probably not. Reasoning is that the newer members from both HoloEn and NijiEn may have also auditioned for Vshojo before being accepted into their respective companies, and I would guess it may not sit well with them if they were extended an invitation only after they got somewhat big.
I... honestly don't think VShojo nor K9 would be enough. Zaion pulled the pin but the grenade didn't explode. :/ Corporate VTubers still has their own classifications, with Holo obv. the 5✴️ hotel, followed by Niji, then VShojo. With the classiications comes restrictions, and each of them is dependent on _revenue._ As long as $ flows, Niji won't go down.
Zaion just made it more exposed... The talents have already been hinting at it before... And yeah I don't think Niji would go down... Most likely what would happen is that they'll be debuting fewer waves and smaller waves... Hell I think it already started with Krisis...

@@ArcaneMaiden aside from literally everthing she says comes into question because they didnt sue her, infact they didnt care at all and in general in random lots of the niji talents thought she was weird.
What I'm going to say is kinda hinted and I won't say who it is because technically this is forbidden membership knowledge, but there are members of Nijisanji that have really had it with Nijisanji, but they can't leave out of fear that indie is a very risky prospect. They'd have to get a new model which are expensive and hope to god their audience follows them. It also means they can't collab with Nijisanji anymore which is probably one of the best perks as a niji streamer are the people you like to collab with and its a bit of a safety net. That safety net is also a curse though. It scares livers to keep producing content out of fear of losing that safety net. If Vshojo exploits that, Nijisanji EN and ID could simply leave and join Vshojo as it gives them a proper safety net. Hololive is good. Hol;olive generally treats their members with respect and assists them on what kind of streamer they want to be.They're not going to be able to poach Hololive. Nijisanji is not supporting their talents nearly as well and if Vshojo exploits that, it would seriously hurt Nijisanji as a whole. Especially if they poach their top talents such as Selen, Enna, and Vox. You know its bad when members are telling their oshi to graduate because they hate how their oshi is being treated.
I do believe selen should leave nijisanji if vspo en turns out successful and pomu should addition for hololive en gen 4 because kiara and nerissa would welcome her with open arms. Those are the 2 best places for them also want Alban and shu to leave but I don't know how good they performe as an indie numbers wise
@@kinglightning5256 I'm not exactly a fan of holoEN since all my favorite EN vtubers are in Niji, but damn I'd love to see Pomu in Hololive just to be treated with the respect she deserves. Hopefully joining with Elira, Maria, Rosemi and Mom. Especially Rosemi and Maria as they would do well with the idol aspect of it while I think Nina would be the glue to make EN a bit more cohesive as a group.
@@Kaimine08literally none of them are going to leave and all of the members you mentioned are literally full time streamers that quit their job because they made more money in NIjiEN than in their old jobs. They are treated well, they aren't perfect but they all act like they are wactor when they aren't. And stop saying Nijisanji, just says the branch you mean when you clearly are excluding KR and Jp from this.
@@kinglightning5256funny how before you were saying that shu and Selen were going to graduate because you believe in anything coming from 4chan and now that this leak is proven untrue since they said it would happen in August and September, you changed your narrative. You'll keep saying that for years until they actually graduate and act like you're right while ignoring reality about the own members and only seeing negatives and ignoring positives
Vshojo's hiring strategy is smart. If anything, they don't go hard enough into that strategy. I've felt for years that they don't hire enough people, and are just wasting opportunities. Yeah sure, everyone makes fun of them for being the agency of the recently graduated, but like, just embrace that label. Build an empire off of it. Why do they only have 11 members after 3 years? (and realistically it's 10).
NijiEN needs to hire more staff members to help their streamers with basic stuff like taxes. It's such an easy fix that I hope they can see and realize from within as we see it from outside.
@@ankparptheinsaneApparently his tax issue was regarding property taxes from buying the house he is building and the land he got for his mom. So...not technically the company's responsibility.
Definitely. They don't necessarily need to go out on an accountant hiring spree, giving each talent their own accountant. But they definitely seem to be suffering from the rapid expansion of talents since 2020, yet I don't think they've compensated for that in terms of the available staff. Sure, I assume they've grown in staff numbers since 2020, but I also assume they haven't grown them enough. Of course, you don't necessarily need to give each member their own nanny and two managers, but I think there are times where staff availability is sparce, and worse: there are times where Niji would've benefited from having someone assist a talent surrounding a particular production-side or streaming-related (as in as a career) issue, but they just didn't have someone who could do that. If they're currently cheaping out on staff and talent assistance, they should stop doing so. You don't grow a media empire by having less people.
Will Smith had a run in, with tax problems after he made it big in the Fresh Prince. He didn’t know how taxes worked and it bit him hard early in his career. Coming from poor backgrounds can be rough when no one warns you about hurdles, once you have money
Vshojo is a good jumping point for people that leave agencies and take nothing with them. Being given another identity that you can take (i'm assuming you can but well see when one of them leaves that wasn't pre established) is a big plus.
on kuro's debut, the powerpoint slideshow had this hat thing with ears. it literally looked like our fav fox detective's hat just in different colors. he's back in another city as someone else
I'm honestly happy for Mysta, I MEAN, Kuro. He deserves better than a shitty black corpo holding him back. As you and many others pointed out, if Niji doesn't make drastic changes Selen is next to go and join Vshoujo. I'll go as far as to say she's already planning it like Mysta did. She's clearly unhappy and recently shared what her goals in the near future are and most of them are literally unreachable with the current state of Nijisanji. Niji EN is crumbling and I am DELIGHTED to see it
Except for the fact that she specifically made goals for 2024 that included Nijisanji because she wants her channel to reach a million. So yeah, she's not leaving yet.
@@evapunk522 If she thinks she can get 1 mil in a year with the absolute shit show Niji is showing off she's singing a swan's song. She's getting actively sabotaged. Her growth is less than 10k a month. Kuro already has over 100k and I reckon he won't stop growing. I think Selen would reach all her goals quicker if she were to leave Niji. It would also help massively with problems with her mental health that she clearly has because of Niji.
So, the life cycle of a Vtuber is: 1) Start as unknown indie 2) Joins Niji for a year 3) Graduate from Niji 4) Joins Vshojo with former or new character 5) Leaves Vshojo with their character and fanbase
Somebody once said "Join Vshounen". That madlad predicted the future 2 months ago. Just go back to my comment in the video regarding Mysta's graduation, if you don't believe me. You won't miss it. Also, I'm glad Mysta found a place to belong to in Vshojo.
Honestly my takeaway from the Nux drama is it seemed like a lot of things happened behind the scenes that we don't know about. I don't know that the talents are completely blameless but it seemed like they were fed incorrect information/mislead by their management team
short of, however post all this only afew of the talents actually apologised . and initially lots of them just attacked him for no reason . as people have said many times now it seems only zen and froot gave a proper apology.
Hololive is a talent first company that is building a successful company by realizing their assets are people. Nijisanji sees their talent as a means to the ends of their fanbases wallets. Vshojo is turning into a check against agencies that, for one reason or another, cannot or will not support their talent (in its current state).
Hololive rely on their talents to build a successful and advertisable image, so Cover-who own the image assets-can use those assets to gain advertisement deals with big brands. That's where the majority of money they're getting. Superchat and merch sale? Not so much, that's why the talents gets a lot of cuts from merchs Of course they treat their talent well, just imagine the amount of deals they're going to lose if suddenly Pekora or Marine or Suisei graduates.
It makes so much sense now how Nijisanji CEO becomes one of the youngest billionaire in japan in 2022 even though he ain’t giving any support to individual livers.
@@fwiffo They're "talent first" in that they give their talents lots and lots of money, and keeps talents like Ayame or Gura in on the merchandising cash cow even when they take multi-month extended hiatuses. Not "talent first" in that they let their talents take their identities to join other companies. It's different incentive structures, but money is a damn good motivator. When even Roboco (one of the least popular JP holos) can just buy land on a whim it's a pretty damn good incentive.
@@fwiffoat least their talents get paid well, about 9 million usd paid to all 75 talents for the last quarter, which average to 34k usd per person per month, of course there are people make much more and people make less, but an average performance will give you 34k usd per month, that make them top 3% income of the US, and the top ones like pekora, suisei would easily make into top 1%.
If more niji en really graduates and join vshojo i hope they can stream outside of twitch because i don’t really like twitch because i can’t rewatch old vods
recruiting successful and hard working people is not nepotism, getting someone new that has no idea what he is doing just because he is a relative/friend is
“NijiEN management right now seems very petty and very ducking weird” I’m not one to read up dramas normally, but this is truely UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY, bruh they are so petty and with no tack, vtubers might be individual contractors, but they have feelings, Nijien sounds like they are treating vtubers as tablecloth with no tack and rudely, and squeeze them dry until they’re torn and go “whoops sorry about that”. Nijijp has better care of their talent, nijien better get some management responsible soon and improve how they care for their talents
nina and mysta deserve the world and i hated seeing them leave but i knew they deserved and wanted to do more than they could and when more people begin to leave niji en I hope they understand why
I'm not convinced that vshoujo has figured out how to grow big yet. I still see them more like people who gets along forming a "company". I mean they somehow managed to lost 3 core members from an already small group. remember one of the reasons for leaving? are you still friends when you haven't hang out for many months? It really is a gathering of individuals that gathers when they got along, and leaves when they stop getting along. we'll figure out whether they still get along during the renewal period next year. I don't know whether they have managed to foster that sense of camaraderie that makes the individuals choose to stay even when they can get better contract somewhere else. Honestly I don't see why holo en or id would move to vshoujo. Unlike with niji, all of them got their 3d and concerts within the expected time. Unlike niji en or id where imo only some of them would ever got their 3d, because of resource mismanagement, holo has proven that they are better at managing resources which gives all their members similar treatment. The problem with niji's shotgun approach is that some of them are bound to not gain traction and they will get starved of resources, which will lead to disappointment. It's a real survival of the fittest. Holo has somehow managed to guarantee anyone that joins them at least similar resources (3Ds, birthday, anniversary, etc), even the ones that are having difficulty gaining traction, which creates loyalty. Unless a major incident happens, they have a major life changes or they get really demotivated/bored, I don't see any of them leaving. Hell, They don't even put pressure on them to stream. Have you seen how rare choco, ayame, shion, roboco and gura stream? There's even a clip of subaru scolding choco because she's taking so much break. The strength of holo's strong community means even the ones that underperform would also get their numbers pulled up, which means there's even less reason for them to leave. This means those who underperform gets the time needed to figure out their niche/ audience. The weakness of this strategy is that having too many underperformers can drag down the whole company, due to resources being spent fruitlessly, fortunately somehow most of holo hires has been bangers.
"The strength of holo's strong community means even the ones that underperform would also get their numbers pulled up, " *laughs in Holostars, the second class citizen of cover*
i got into nijisanji en a few months ago, i started watching enna, kyo, mysta clips THEN mysta announced his graduation that kinda fkd me up but im glad that hes back now
This is what competition looks like. Don't want VShojo to take your talent? Treat your talent better than VShoujo would. Simple strategy. VShoujo acting as a threat to bigger corpos is better for everyone involved. Except for share holders who want extra yachts.....
To be fair to VShoujo’s nepotism. With all the VTweeters, secretly toxic indies, and secretly toxic established Vtubers (Niji),recruiting friends seems to be a safer option.
Still not quite sure how to feel about these stream clips. The constant quick reactions to chat messages that are not always related to the topic makes this very.. unfocused. It could def use more editing & cuts. The title also makes it seem like its part of your scripted content, which makes this a tad weird to watch at first. Maybe adding " | Stream Highlight " or something would help with setting expectations.
I find it a little curious that just as soon as this video posted a few niji members ACTUALLY talked about the hate being directed to niji and how they felt about it. Just a FYI, its all fun and games going "boo niji bad" or "boo holo bad" and whatever, but even though there are real problems, many of the talents are STILL working there, and many STILL very much love doing that! Its crazy to me how people go "Meh, X should leave niji and join xx agency" when some of those talents have repeatedly (and recently, very directly) mentioned how much they actually like it there. I'm not saying its bad to wish better for the streamers, but that things like these drama channels also cause a big part of the hate many of them end up getting. And thats honestly just sad.
Yeah, it truly is sad. We all know that a lot of the currently-active (and planning-to-stay) members still at least see a silverlining that justifies their stay in Niji. That stopped for Nina and Mysta (who are both the EN streamers I can at least say left purposefully) and their contract with Niji and the stipulations of being a NijiEN streamer (whether that be the hassles of what is rumored to be an independent contractor-like setup, etc.) could no longer justify the benefits of having direct access to Niji's network of creators and talents. There are still probably other smaller companies out there that treat their talents worse than Niji. Which is why I hope no one just suddenly jumps on a "Niji hate" bandwagon just yet. We can only reasonably try to do that when we know there are heavy frustrations being shared by all their artists - indicating injustice on the part of the company. However for now, if at least 80% of who we had at the start of the 2023 stay by the end of 2023, we can at assume that Niji's operations are 'AT LEAST' good enough and humane enough for them - and we shouldn't compromise their livelihoods under the assumption that it's worse than it is when in reality they're at least satisfied enough to stay. Ultimately I guess as fans, we should just be vigilant. We can sometimes be too caring of our oshis, and that can lead to us making hasty conclusions that make them suffer more than help. If we wanted to make their lives at NijiEN a better place, we wouldn't be asking NijiEN to shut down - we'd first be petitioning for transparency, accountability, and lengthier open discussions with talents. That's how the worst companies realize that parts of their operations are compromising their business; taking some of the bad parts of being a Niji streamer with them as well, making the streamers' lives a little easier.
I just hope this would trigger Nijisanji to have better management for EN but honestly I don't know. They seem to be doing well in JP and always assume that's their main focus unlike Holo, they might not care that much like we expect. I follow Holo a bit more but there are so many Nijisanji talents that I really like.
I kinda ended up the reverse, I did follow HoloJP and HoloEN before Pomu, Elira and Finana debuted, but Pomu became my oshi shortly after, and I've kinda transitioned to the Niji side (mostly EN, but all the branches to some extent) more since. I still follow Hololive somewhat, but not nearly as much since 2021. Anycolor has a LOT of problems, but as another poster commented, I like the sense of community the Niji talents have with each other. Having said that, if certain talents did want to leave, I don't blame them and I wish nothing but the best for them, Kuro included.
@@CanuckGodmeanwhile in reality Millie just said a few days ago that she's well treated in en and if you ask for the others they'll say the same, just like how she now can sustain herself and not work in retail and have more opportunities. @@ausgod538 true. Trust the livers. Millie and Luca have spoken. They work there why should we undermine their statement. I'm soooo glad they voice out their opinion. I hope this kind of hatred would dissipate. Because I'm worried that these kinda would affect them mentally. Believe in the livers. Believe in them.
@@ausgod538 I think you might have misread my original comment. Anycolor/Nijisanji - like every other large agency - isn't perfect, but it isn't completely horrible either. If I thought everyone in the company hated it, they'd be leaving in droves, which they obviously aren't. In all honesty, I came here from another person reacting to DN's criticisms in this video and basically poking holes in nearly every argument he had, and for the most part I agreed with that person. Nousagi assumes way too much without evidence and I think he's more than a bit biased about his distaste for Nijisanji and while he does make a few good points, I disagree with most of what Nousagi said here. My overall point is if they DID end up at a point where it wasn't working, then I'd support whichever decision the livers would make. In Pomu's case, she seems to be fine with her position within the company as it stands, and I'm fine with that too. If that changes, I'd still support her. Also completely agree with what you said about Millie and her reasons. Everyone has different reasons for either staying independent and/or joining or remaining with an agency, and we should respect their reasons (especially if they're clearly stated as with Millie and Luca) for doing so instead of second-guessing them. P.S. This is not to say I'm a Depressed Nousagi hater. I've quite enjoyed his videos on the histories of many Vtubers, I just think he's more than a bit off-base on this video, and could do with less of his rampant speculation.
I don't think Vshojo has the ability to threaten Niji. Few members may leave randomly but you can multiply that by 3 of how many EN members join to Niji every year alone.
Yeah, I think that's closer to the truth than otherwise. It's less that Vshojo directly is a threat to Niji, it's just that if Niji turns out to be trying to hope for growth and expansion year-on-year while still holding inefficient or outright ineffective practices with regards to the way they handle their talents, then any other corpo is going to look good. Perhaps it's even that Vshojo holds certain practices that are a lot more ideal for vtubers now compared to before (and most definitely compared to NijiEN's operation), but otherwise: I guess the main point is it's true that it isn't necessarily that Vshojo threatens Niji. It's that any other company that doesn't follow the same practices that Niji does (and we could argue that Vshojo is quite 'far' from Niji) threatens Niji.
I think they kinda undirectly threaten 2434, in the perspective how "trusted" the company treat their talent, in the of the public (vtuber community). their EN branch literally lost 3 established talent, which 3 of them are more success and happier than when joining their past corpos. one as an indie vtuber, 2 joining vshojo. and currently 2 of them are busy preparing project that also already 1/2 done too with their new management. alsooo, there's another factor like big graduation wave happend in their other branch (ID branch). Mika Melantika, the established vtuber from that branch is also graduated next december, which kinda another L for nijisanji too... in the eyes of public, right now vshojo are looked as more "trusted" than anykara now.
@@MirohTheo Literally everything you said was talked through in this video except the ID talents. And my guess is that former ID members are graduating now mainly because NijiID branch does not exist anymore. It was all fused to JP. There is no reason to think Vshojo would threaten Nijisanji in any way. Their recruting speed makes sure of that. And Vshojo being an agency harboring essentially indie vtubers, they physically have no way matching Nijisanji even if they would have same amount of resources available. Vshojos business model cant threaten the model Hololive and Nijisanji have.
@@arathoras12the threat is existential. Vshoujo isn’t going to take their market share. The threat is showing what’s not needed. Niji makes their people feel like they need Niji’s brand to succeed, that without their backing or as their enemy they are doomed. So when Vshoujo takes several of them and look, they are FINE and even upselling how much better it is now, it’s not that Niji will suddenly half half their talent jump. But that talent they have is now thinking about what happens next contract renewal, cause maybe staying in Niji isn’t the only way to go.

Honestly I will agree, it's too early for people to already categorize a Vshonen branch for the agency when only one vtuber fits the bill. I know Bubi is a thing but... we all know the one behind him still collabs as himself with Mouse, so he'd never become an official member. There IS another guy who would very likely join a Vshonen but... his gf left Vshojo and he's gotten to facecamming more often, but if not for those two things, Aethelstan would've been an easy pick
I do miss the character, but that's small. I just need to adjust, and when i do, it will be glorious. And Kuro will be happy, and hang out with a new group on screen. I mean, he knew them, but it won't be the rarity.
To be fair it could also be read as VShojo meaning Virtual Virgin as 処女 Shojo does mean virgin in Japanese, granted female virgin but still virgin as a quick google translate says virgin however the Japanese says 童貞(Dōtei) for Male Virgin. Just saying if they really wanted they could say that it means Virtual Virgin
I think what people seem to forget that it is incredibly important that there is competition in any and all markets. The free market is important as it doesn't allow people to be trapped at one job for one company with a contract and work conditions that are toxic or sub par. You may believe hard in the Kayfabe but you forget that there is a real life human being behind the Muppet that is the anime character. They have different circumstances that push them to need more money and/or a better work environment to survive. If Vshojo is giving the competition something to think about GOOD then maybe they'll put more effort I to supporting their talents, seeing them as an asset and not just a way to make easy money.
i agree that vtuber companies should wake to the fact that they can't just keep replacing talent every time the talent tries to push back and because no one listens or is punished for and has to leave for a company that does listen and values there non replaceable talent. by push back i mean stuff like not fixing problems like crappy corrupt staff bordering on insane or one sided basically selling your soul contracts that just ruin the company because no one wants to work for you. i feel like what i mean by value is not the brand of the vtuber company or fantasy of the character those play a small role but it's still almost always the talent behind the character and if you can't keep that talent happy (within reason ofc) someone else will.
Its not totally impossible to start a new branch with just 1 guy, because that would open the opportunity for other existing and new male vtubers to start applying and join the new group. And in the course of a month, maybe just weeks. New members are introduced. In which sadly, that didn't came into their minds atm...
It's funny how everyone is treating nijisanji as this imaginary villain when the livers themselves keep saying they're tired of drama like this and how this affects them more and they keep saying good things about their management but you never see those things clipped or spread around since it's against what people want to think and believe and it will not get the numbers I guess, also please stop with the I hope that and this liver graduate and go to a certain company because you will never see them act like this and be this charming if they weren't in their current company this applies to vtubers from other companies too they shine in their own way in the place that accepted them first
Luca said as much yesterday and another time and other members hinted at it as well. It's clear a lot of these people only go to clips or are 4chan users, they don't know anything positive happening only drama.
just because some bad things that happened, those people really generalizing niji management as if they're never done anything good for the last 5+ years

I hear what you're saying, but I would add the caveat that if the company seems to be doing well by the talents, then give the company the trust and goodwill that deserves.
@@MajorZero61 I respect people that thinks that and I even do that to a extent with Phase Connect which is my only exception to this day but I'm still a strong believer that one must like and support talents but never the companies, but again if one feels they deserve it then by all means do so, a person a world
@@Charles_DrakkanI don't think we really disagree. Honestly, I don't even think what I'm saying needs to be something to really be consciously thought of, if the company is doing right by their talents the goodwill will naturally come and vice versa, that's just how people are.
@@Charles_Drakkan Yeah, but sometimes, it's really the talents that are the problem. If a talent leaves the agency (graduation/termination) then gets into drama again without any involvement of the agency's part, is the company really the problem?

@@kingmcclawson oh i see, but are there any news as to why they left? bad contracts? i see how some might get the shaft if they are not that big tbh, which sucks but idk
@sirirond1990 essentially they saw no value in being in vshojo, all three said it just wasn't smart financially. If I were to describe vshojo their more like a union then a talent corporation, which works for some maybe semi established but not fully their vtubers. but Silvervale, nyanners and veibei were already pretty big so it didn't really make sense for them to stay or even join in the first place.some people like the security have having a big company backing but some might find it scary or not financially smart.
Vei and Silver should never be looked at as an example of anything with VShojo. Vei has always been a bit of a shit poster, and her influence over Silver is... well, Silver seems like a sweet person most of the time until Vei is added into the equation. Silver showed this when she blasted Ironmouse for not talking to her... during a time when there was a shortage of medical supplies and Mouse was at risk of you know... DYING. Also, Vei is dating Sodapoppin. So she already had a pull to mythic talent. Nyanners on the other hand, is a great example of the poor negotiations at the time.
I think vshojo's model of taking large vtubers may hopefully make bigger vtuber companies work harder to create a good work environment. If there is an easy place for their cash cows to go, they'll work harder to keep them happy so they don't leave.
In one of Enna's streams she voiced how she didnt want to go back to retail if she were to graduate Nijisanji. Im guessing she really doesnt have options except for Niji so hopefully Vshojo or a well established company picks her up because her talent cannot be wasted. If I recall correctly Mysta did some collabs with Enna hopefully it wasnt just all professional but she most like wants to have millie in vshoujo as well.
I actually only got into vtubers in the last couple weeks but I like Kuro. I also enjoy shipping but I draw the line at real people and there are people behind the characters when it comes to this stuff.
The amount of senseless collabs and endorsements niji pushes their popular streamers to do is what yucks me, and they're mostly in china which says a lot.
Nijisanji? Sure.
Hololive? Not really.

The only drawback I can think of is if she doesn't join another company and gives up vtubing as a result. I'll miss her cackle too much :(
Selen most likely would retire from streaming period and never join an agency ever again when she graduates. She's just not the type to continue after that. She's not close at all to the VShojo girls and she wouldn't want to be surrounded by strangers again.
She"d probably end up eith Surefour.
@@kinglightning5256 duuuuuude you are so unfair to finana (this is a drunk post you should ignore ir)
Honestly despite losing 3 big members, that honestly werent interacting with the rest of the members much, this year is in a pace be a net positive for Vshojo since they can pickup any niji EN graduates
But its not vshojo or kuro who's threatening NijiEN, its their own incompetence in managing, vshojo's just here to give second chances to people that want somthing better for themselves
If Selen hasn’t left the company after everything’s the managements done,
I don’t think she’ll ever leave.
''Mista wasn't burnt out from vtubing, he was burnt out from Nijisanji.''
And so was Nina.
Do you know if Nina retook streaming?
@@EmikoEriko she hasn't yet. She travels and hangs out with her former colleagues and friends
Don’t forget that Mumei is in Hololive.
I’m not just vtubing.”
2, I believe he initially wanted to go indie, and had he not felt indebted to gunrun (who was helping altruistically imo) would have.
@@mariefurukawa2627it's basically the same here in Australia
@@kinglightning5256 maybe.
Depends
Selen definitely want to be put on holo if she ever want to get out of the current company I mean her friends is there
@@kinglightning5256 I mean the girls in holo ID collab with guys all the time and it was never a problem, so probably if Selen could change that in EN it would be good. I know Fubuki collab with guys too, she does get the hate but she either doesn’t carr or is big enough already to tank it
I'm just glad that kuro is happy and well for where he is
Hold up, i'm trying to understand, is mysta rias and kuro the same person?
I was so sad when Mysta graduated. He was my favorite. I'm happy that he came back as Kuro. I did prefer the name and design of his past persona but I'm happy as long as he is happy. I'm gonna support him regardless of what persona he is gonna take. Behind that screen is still the same person that made me laugh and I could relate to back then.
Completely agree!
Christ…I knew he had hard reasons but I never imagined it’d be that awful. Poor Kuro. At least he’s doing better as things standing
At least iirc vshojo's deal is that they take all the merch money *and nothing else*. No SC cuts, no membership cuts, and so on. At least this is how i remember one of the girls describing her contract near vshojo's start, but i may be wrong.

seeing some of the rules and boundaries that kuro had to put felt so targeted to his old fanbase💀 honestly, i was always freaked out by some of them. i think part of the reason he got so burnt out was because of them. being treated so weirdly and like babyish? would make me feel pretty disgusting. i really really really hope that with vshojo and a new vtuber identity he'll be able to be more comfortable and get the better fanbase he deserves
what he was saying after announcing his graduation made it pretty clear that most of his issues were with fans (and some were about the restrictions being a corpo vtuber on yt puts on you) but just as he said himself, many didn't listen or took parts of what he was saying that fit the narrative they already had in mind

My main problem with vshojo is that it seems more of a machinima kind of thing than an actual company that creates talents.
VShojo can't afford to raise a talent, so they could only hope for an already famous talent or recruiting from corpo one.
I am sure Mysta's Burnout was from Management and how they care about their talents
This is why Hugo left. They were being pressured by the management to do liver stuff. Nina also left because of the pressure to perform.
@@jinwood nina left because she didnt want to do it anymore made very clear by how shes still chill in showing up on niji streams, mysta left because of the fans made clear by other members and extremely so from vox .
I highly doubt that Kuro will be able to colab with niji. I don’t think that’s the talents being bitter I think management is just bitter.
Actually Mika from Nijisanji ID is still following Kuro, I was suprised to see that seeing as Hex unfollowed him(likely forced by management) but yeah.

Yeah I saw a few members follow but only a few hours later they unfollowed
What I find strange is that Enna, Reimu and Finana are following Matarakan but none of NijiEn are following Kuro
@@dindachancamui3508it's different case:/
Haruka is actually one of the talents who auditioned.
I don't know how she feels (and despite liking her design knowing doesn't matter to me) but if she leaves I would not be shocked at all
What did genshin community do.. I’m unaware
@EeveelutionStorm they actually did manage to doxx him and his family from what I heard and the parasocial fans gave him and Mika especially a hard time instead of just joking along with them or being happy for him

Good luck in future with taxes
Mysta had previously mentioned tax issues and that Niji had recommended a tax guy to help out, that is more than most companies will do. And now Kuro said he never got help for his taxes. Even if you are employed, the company gives you what is mandated and you take care of the rest.

Corporate VTubers still has their own classifications, with Holo obv. the 5✴️ hotel, followed by Niji, then VShojo.
With the classiications comes restrictions, and each of them is dependent on _revenue._
As long as $ flows, Niji won't go down.
Zaion just made it more exposed... The talents have already been hinting at it before...
And yeah I don't think Niji would go down... Most likely what would happen is that they'll be debuting fewer waves and smaller waves... Hell I think it already started with Krisis...

@@ArcaneMaiden Exactly...
Though I have a theory as to why some of the liver's are not aware of this... It could be that some of the EN managers are actually incompetent or something whilst some actually do their job...
No one in En is like this, just say it's Mika already
@@Kaimine08literally none of them are going to leave and all of the members you mentioned are literally full time streamers that quit their job because they made more money in NIjiEN than in their old jobs.
Seems like they took your advice, indeed.
For me this debut came out of the blue, I was completely unaware that Mysta came back as Kuro, and by all means good for him.
NijiEN needs to hire more staff members to help their streamers with basic stuff like taxes. It's such an easy fix that I hope they can see and realize from within as we see it from outside.
Even mythic talent provide talents with accounting support.
Riku needs the money for maintaining his yacht purease andastando
@@ankparptheinsaneApparently his tax issue was regarding property taxes from buying the house he is building and the land he got for his mom. So...not technically the company's responsibility.
@@evapunk522 Yea technically you are correct sir. It's just common occurrence.
I think that now Mika and Pomu will graduate, Selen's departure is very plausible too...
Hopefully this will incentivise Nijisanji to start incentivize its talents.
So, the life cycle of a Vtuber is:
1) Start as unknown indie
2) Joins Niji for a year
3) Graduate from Niji
4) Joins Vshojo with former or new character
5) Leaves Vshojo with their character and fanbase
Somebody once said "Join Vshounen".

Lucas did say something about this and felt shocked how Lucas dealt with the Kuro situation more maturely.
i didn't watch the whole video, who is lucas?
Hololive is a talent first company that is building a successful company by realizing their assets are people. Nijisanji sees their talent as a means to the ends of their fanbases wallets.
Vshojo is turning into a check against agencies that, for one reason or another, cannot or will not support their talent (in its current state).
Hololive rely on their talents to build a successful and advertisable image, so Cover-who own the image assets-can use those assets to gain advertisement deals with big brands. That's where the majority of money they're getting. Superchat and merch sale? Not so much, that's why the talents gets a lot of cuts from merchs
Of course they treat their talent well, just imagine the amount of deals they're going to lose if suddenly Pekora or Marine or Suisei graduates.

Vshojo is quickly becoming the "abused Vtuber shelter"
nina and mysta deserve the world and i hated seeing them leave but i knew they deserved and wanted to do more than they could and when more people begin to leave niji en I hope they understand why
The weakness of this strategy is that having too many underperformers can drag down the whole company, due to resources being spent fruitlessly, fortunately somehow most of holo hires has been bangers.
i think you have very holo biased take, you're take is essentially 'Holo is Heaven on earth' and 'Niji and Vshoujo is trash'

I'll note that down humu

I've quite enjoyed his videos on the histories of many Vtubers, I just think he's more than a bit off-base on this video, and could do with less of his rampant speculation.

nina just debuted in vshojo!
her reincarnation (new name) is matarakan, a cockroach vtuber!
I love her but why did she have to be a bug, I hate them. 😢
Just let him do what he wants. Let he pursue his career on his own way.

I think people forget sometimes they can support individuals instead of having to support or like Companies, I don't like some Vshojo members but still love others and let's be honest contract and career wise this was good as heck for him, I don't know specifics but alongside the monetary, brand and merch opportunities there's also some degree of content freedom I mean he already made a reaction to TikToks already which he couldn't do before I believe, it was late for me so appreciate the effort on making clips man thank you
I hear what you're saying, but I would add the caveat that if the company seems to be doing well by the talents, then give the company the trust and goodwill that deserves.
@@lolicunny2 I think we can tell who's the problem if the same talents get into drama again outside of the agency.
I think his age is around 20-ish. Considered as young adults about to begin their journey into the real world. I can't blame him for his mistakes because how many people earn as much as he did at that age?
I started learning about taxes after years of working in the corporate world.
this is why competition is always great, the fact that vshojo did this will put a fire under other agencies butts, like ok now you wanna keep that money making talent? well you better start negotiating or they'll go to a place that actually knows their value yo!
apart from vshojo doesnt know their value, 3 of their members left because they didnt get the point .
2:30 - Cronyism*, nepotism entails a personal connection (usually familiar, since the word nepotism means to hook up one’s nephew)
Waiting for Nina to join Vshoujo
this either aged like milk or wine, because guess what?
Ur wish granted nice
Vei and Silver should never be looked at as an example of anything with VShojo. Vei has always been a bit of a shit poster, and her influence over Silver is... well, Silver seems like a sweet person most of the time until Vei is added into the equation. Silver showed this when she blasted Ironmouse for not talking to her... during a time when there was a shortage of medical supplies and Mouse was at risk of you know... DYING. Also, Vei is dating Sodapoppin. So she already had a pull to mythic talent. Nyanners on the other hand, is a great example of the poor negotiations at the time.
Man.... I just hope that Kuro stays good friends with the people in Niji specially with Luca
