I have several of the Kriss extended mags for my G20. I experienced some feeding issues as well. I ended up disassembling the mags and discovered rough edges / 90 degree edges on the plastic where the lower and upper shells connect. The follower & rounds were hanging up on that edge and causing the failures. I did some slight re-contouring of the plastic taking off the sharp edges with the dremel. They now feed with no issues.

My dad told me back in the late 80s and early 90s, him and one of his good buddies both bought ruger super redhawk .44 mags when ammo was cheap af. They would hand load a bunch of target rounds and very hot magnum rounds and go shoot at the range for a day. They would load each others guns before they shot. They would randomly place 1-3 magnum rounds in the revolver and the rest would be light target loads That way the shooter had no idea what would be a light recoil or a very big recoil. This trained them to not flinch and jerk the trigger with big bore handguns while shooting double action. My dad is not a big guy but he used to be able to accurately dump 6 rounds with a 44 magnum for a while in the late 80s and 90s like dirty harry lol. Nice shooting today. I kept thinking about you walking up in the middle of a herd or wild pigs and laying a dozen down. Rapid fire makes the setup look like a beast.
I believe this is a testament for the Glock also. That was a lot of rounds in a short amount of time. Not to mention being in a "cage" and added weight to the slide it ran awsome.
The 11 mm lol, all seriousness. I have the Glock 40 Gen 2 and as is its great. Put a holosun red dot on there as well. DPM Systems has a much better recoil spring assembly but cant put out 150 bucks on that yet.
One other note, I have not tried this yet but it's on my list to do for the 40: others have noted that the large frame Glocks come oversprung out of the box. You can kinda feel it with the very heavy slide action. Most tuned 10mm Glocks get the slide components polished and a better recoil spring assembly installed.
I’m a gun nut and love many different weapon systems. That being said, 300 blackout and weapons like the Sig Rattler have made these calibers and weapons obsolete in any situation that is serious. It’s compact, defeats soft body armor, you can hunt with it and use it professionally out to 200 meters plus which is 99% of most situations. If you are collecting then I understand but if you need a one size fits all compact solution then I suggest the 300 blackout platform in a 5.5 inch to 9 inch barrel. The Sig rattler with the stock folded isn’t much bigger then that. If it has to be handgun size then I understand also. It’s so versatile I have to point it out. To each his own though!
No one wants to be carrying around a Rattler while working on their acre+ property day or night. A 6" G40 with holo, light, and this brace can still be carried in a solidly mounted pistol holster. This is such a great 'carry around the homestead' setup. By all means, keep the Rattler by the nightstand in case of foresty bumps in the night where you might need to engage outside the house but still on property. But I'm not clearing brush, yeeting heavy sh!t, or building something with a 5lb PCC bouncing on my chest or back. A 2.5lb braced G40 on a back or thigh holster? Yeah I could probably do that. Now that Sig launched their X-Ten P320, I'm waiting for a 6" X-Ten w/ B&T's hopefully updated brace.
Love my G40, added a KKM barrel & comp. smooth shooter! Might need this brace. Just wish it would let you use the red dot on the slide since I already have a red dot mounted to it.
WAIT WHAT!?!?!?! Oh man I've been waiting for this. Carrying my G20 today (its my "fall/winter" carry gun of choice) but my G40 always goes with me into the backcountry etc. This looks sweet.
You can turn a G20 into a G40 by dropping in a 6 inch barrel. So if you want to sell the G40 all you'll need is the G20 with an extra barrel and you'll still have both in one gun.
Large frame glocks tend to jam in braces because since there is no give during recoil as when held by hand the slide moves much faster. Therrefore ot requires a much stronger magazine spring to feed. Lighter and/or less powerful ammo will feed better. Upgrading mag springs will increase reliability. A DPM Systems guide rod with their built in 3rd spring acts as a buffer and will also increase reliability much better than anything else. Doing all three(DPM guide rod/stronger mag spring/lighter ammo) will pretty much guarantee reliabilty and of done correctly can be reliable with all ammunition. I know this because I have a Glock 30S and a recovery tactical chassis running 45 super. All of my extended magazines are upgraded to two or three stage magazine springs. ETS extended magazines will be the best to use in the large frame Glocks because the follower design will be the best to reduce friction in extended magazines. KRISS mag extensions also work better with 13 round ETS magazines than with the Glock factory magazines. I also use a small spacer at the bottom of the KRISS extension to make the spring just a little bit tighter.
Glock 40 is definitely my favorite pistol i took a whitetail with one during gun season last year On another note I'm glad to see you are still proud to be an iraq veteran and you didn't change your name i am also an Iraq veteran and we were on the right side of history regardless of how much the media regurgitates that we were wrong sadam and his son's were evil men and we the USA took responsibility for placing them in power to destabilize Iran and killed them and all the Islamic fascists who would opress people in the region cowardly politicians lost that war not us
I explicitly bought my Glock G40 because I had a biiiiig ass black bear run out in front of me within spittin' distance. Now just that didn't scare me too bad, happened once before, but I had my niece (7or8yrs old at the time) standing right next to me. I know black bears are the most timid out of the bunch but I'm not taking any chances, especially when I have kiddos runnin' around and God forbid the bear have its own kiddos nearby as well. I feel much better walking around the property with the G40 on my hip, filled with Underwood's Hardcast. Oh yeah, the G40 also pairs nicely with my 10mm Kriss Vector, pretty neat that they can share mags. Anyways, cheers IV8888 and crew! 10mm BEST MM
Along with bad springs, I'm wondering if the followers are hanging up when they are in the area where the extension meets the mag proper? I've had that happen with cheap extensions.
The guys I know up in Alaska carry a pistol grip pump shotgun with rottweiler slugs. I carried a 454 casull with 360 grain hard cast that I loaded hot just in case the 2 guys with shotguns didn't stop them.
I use a Recover Tactical 20/21 with a Glock 30S modified for 45super. But 255gr 45super hurts the shoulder to use. I would have to form 1 to use the buttstock. I also have a Kriss Mag works perfect. I also have a SGM, KCI and ETS in .45 and all were not reliable. I did upgrades to all of them, the Kriss works better, the ETS ran flawless, the KCI and SGM worked but I think the inside have too much friction which slows the action, they only functioned perfectly with light ammo at standard pressures. I'm going to try polishing the insides one day. The DPM system telescopic RSA I have in the G30S allows for better function with slower mags. Combining that with higher power mag springs increases reliabilty.
I had the same issue with the Kriss extension kits for the G21 mags. The springs are hanging up where the extension and stock mag meet. Took them apart and used brand new latest generation Glock g21 magazines. This seems to have solved my FTF issues. Time will tell if this fixes the problem permanently.
Yea an adolescent cat who never probably seen a human. Until that day. Dangerous situation, im on the fence about it. Life if precious, but mine even more
Bare with me here. Take the stock off, switch the charging handle to the other side, put on a long pic rail adapter, forward mounted 1x optic, put together a cheek piece that rolls over where the charging handle currently is. One super badass cheek gun, and no need to register an SBR.
I'm thinking you are right in that the mag spring isn't keeping up with the slide in actual firing. Just too much weight for it to be lifting fast enough to get a round in front of the action all the time. More like an angry pack of Murder Hornets!

Wow, you have been on "Cloud 9" on that weapon you don't need a Christmas gift. What a nice toy...totally awesome.
Actually, he's on Cloud 10. 😆
This just might have to find its way onto my G21L in 460 Rowland.
Glock 40 is definitely my favorite pistol i took a whitetail with one during gun season last year
On another note I'm glad to see you are still proud to be an iraq veteran and you didn't change your name i am also an Iraq veteran and we were on the right side of history regardless of how much the media regurgitates that we were wrong sadam and his son's were evil men and we the USA took responsibility for placing them in power to destabilize Iran and killed them and all the Islamic fascists who would opress people in the region cowardly politicians lost that war not us
I explicitly bought my Glock G40 because I had a biiiiig ass black bear run out in front of me within spittin' distance.
5:50 that round ricocheted and hit the soda bottle 😮
I have the G40 with a Mech Tech setup. Great shooter!
Oh thanks for delivering another temptation! Great stuff!
That's an awesome setup!
Finally picked mines up today
For the price, I still prefer the 20/20! And customer service is spot on should you have a problem!
The best millimeter!
Along with bad springs, I'm wondering if the followers are hanging up when they are in the area where the extension meets the mag proper? I've had that happen with cheap extensions.
Brenneke black magics in a 12 ga. Remington 870 and .44 mag Hornaday critical defense in a Ruger Blackhawk for Alaska.
21:04 that butterfly 😂
Interesting. 10 mm pistol brace with great optics.
I had same problems with the 10MM Kriss extensions when they first came out. Ended up just grabbing an ETS mag for my setup
I have the mags in the same caliber and mine run flawlessly.
I had the same issue with the Kriss extension kits for the G21 mags. The springs are hanging up where the extension and stock mag meet. Took them apart and used brand new latest generation Glock g21 magazines. This seems to have solved my FTF issues. Time will tell if this fixes the problem permanently.
I carry my g20 or my Springfield xdm elite 10mm here in Tennessee when camping or hiking. We have alot of black bear
These would be dope for law enforcement
You 1st vid on this is literally what I copied for my USWG -17L!!!
thank you for the bear glock video guy's!!!
Did anyone see the guy pop a mountain lion in the face with a G20 a few days ago? Guy was hiking on a trail and a huge cat got within 5yds of him.
I went and looked it up just now, that would be nerve racking.
Yea an adolescent cat who never probably seen a human. Until that day. Dangerous situation, im on the fence about it. Life if precious, but mine even more
That was a Glock 19.
You say that and don't link it?!
@@richarddick2937 **only if the cat lived lol
Bare with me here. Take the stock off, switch the charging handle to the other side, put on a long pic rail adapter, forward mounted 1x optic, put together a cheek piece that rolls over where the charging handle currently is.
One super badass cheek gun, and no need to register an SBR.
He gonna break his jaw with that attachment on his face 😂
I don't see this being a bear gun but as a truck gun, hell yeah would be a perfect truck gun!
I'm thinking you are right in that the mag spring isn't keeping up with the slide in actual firing. Just too much weight for it to be lifting fast enough to get a round in front of the action all the time.
More like an angry pack of Murder Hornets!
My Glock 40 10mm is my open carry sidearm. It's a good feeling to have a hand cannon within reach should SHTF. Or if you get selected as dinner for a large, fuzzy predator out here in black bear country. Shoot straight, fellas.
I'd like to see this with a selector switch. Crazy power.
Nice guide rig just needs a sling.
We carry the g40 in bear country all the time
I got a bunch of kv ext mag they run .45 direct blowback. had a fun experience with a 3 lb trigger and a 10 oz buffer
This is a fantastic setup.
