Being able to leave at-will employment to work elsewhere for more money doesn’t sound unconstitutional. If actual contracts were involved, then I’d understand.
Hmm I see both sides of it. In situations where the employer has a lot of leverage and worker does not... ie you really need a job, or you simply don't understand what a non-compete is (many young people do not) - then its not that simple and could deny future work opportunities once you leave. At the same time - if you work for a media company (such as a youtube podcast) you want to make sure you aren't hiring people just so they can learn from you, then turn right around and use that to copy and compete with you and poach your staff/guests. I knew of a specific case where this happened
Thanks to Trump for giving us this judge
Yes, it should be a federal ban because noncompetes prevent Competition. They prevent workers from leaving for a raise in their Community
Imagine being forced to work for Burger King 🤦♂️ I could not believe it when I found out about these no compete clause restrictions.
Noncompete clauses protect businesses
@@moroteseoinage It makes sense for skilled workers. Do you know one working for KFC?
@@GeorgeSchneider8889 if you go around signing documents you don’t read then they’ll just have to deal with the consequences
Once again , anything good for the people and bad for the companies always gets overturned
Literally. Once again the wealthy's desires for luxuries and social status is prioritized over the needs of the disadvantaged. Disgusting.
That's cause it's questionable on being constitutional.
@@jordanslingluff287 How so?

Once again Lena Khan looses again.
This ruling will not Hold that one conservative Judge. The FTC noncompete ban applied to people under $150K
This is good. You have full right to not sign a contract and not take the job.

She effectively said nothing of substance
If you hire robots they wont compete
Wow. This is disappointing.
A win for business
