I explode the myth that writing can capture all of speech. Most of what we communicate is Non-Verbal Inflection and not just the words we're saying. Master your Non-Verbal Toolkit for success in auditions, jobs and taking direction for voice over success.

Best of Success!
William Williams
this man is so wholesome
Absolutely! What goes for musicians also goes for voice talents. Thanks for sharing this video 👍
Thank you, Mr. Williams. This is great information. I am a retired television engineer and just getting into voice over work. I come from a technical background, and although I know a lot of actors, I have never really given acting much thought. Great insight!
Excellent, excellent tips. Thank you so much for making these videos for the public!
Nice video. I love the use of basic NLP principles to teach the information. Very powerful. One funny flub at 3:33. In the video you can see him say "toolbox", but the audio and the title say "toolkit". I wonder how many people noticed that-consciously.
A little ADR there? :)
Like in Dr Strangelove, when Major Kong says "Shoot, a fella could have a pretty good time in Vegas with all that stuff." but he actually said 'Dallas'. After Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas - shortly after filming was completed - the producers did not want to remind anyone of this.
I noticed something was off but dismissed it, went back to watch after reading your comment and had a “I knew something was off there” moment. It took a bit for my mind not to feel like all the dialog was recorded separately from the video after that.
Sir you a are great!
I learn a lot from you and I admire you voice and delivery.
Very high skilled and helpful video clip. Thanks for coaching.
Good.
So many books, theories, experiences....replaced by you, your great videos.
Nice video 👍
This is a cool dude.
How to practise all these tools
I'm director/producer of my own youtube show and this video was incredibly helpful to my voice acting team!
Do you have any tips for a director, as to how to convey what I want to hear from them? I find just saying it out loud is only partly helpful.
@Sunsu Dubs I'm working on a series of videos for video producers on how to work with audio and voice talent. Stay tuned!
@@AlisoCreekVoiceOver Excellent! I'm looking forward to it.
"I think that 70% of speech is of what I call, non-verbal." Haha I do not really believe that you came up with the number nor the word non-verbal. But thank you for the tips! I subbed.
Here's a source:
Non-verbal communication includes facial expressions, the tone and pitch of the voice, gestures displayed through body language (kinesics) and the physical distance between the communicators (proxemics). ... Indeed, some estimates suggest that around 70 to 80% of communication is non-verbal!

@@AlisoCreekVoiceOver thanks for the source. I meant that you seemed to imply that you came up with the number and also have a personal expression for it.
