I put the same ignition and jets in my '98 Road King last year. Good choice. I have Mustang seats on my bikes, also. I rode from Alabama to Washington State and back on a 2002 883 Standard comfortably and 2 trips to Colorado on the RK. 72 years old and the best seats I've ever had. Evos forever!
Yep, I was thinking Crane Hi 4, which is really nice, I have one on my shoveled, which I built after I sold my 96 springer which I waited 2 years for and bought new. Been there, done that. lol. You'll appreciate the seat on long trips.
I would stay with the HD 360 oil . Harley has used 20-50 for decades and works great. Stock EVOS have almost no engine noise over the exhaust. Sure somebody hasn't stuck solid lifters in it. I've been an HD tech since we took on Harley in 1976. I have a 1989 heritage Softail and EVO motors were always my favorite.

When you use the heavier weight oil, be sure to use the less restrictive oil filters that are at least 21 microns for 20W/50 and preferably 30 microns for the 60W. The 5 micron filters plug up earlier and go into bypass, filtering nothing. The EVO engines like low restriction. Another great video.
Great old bike, think that was the precursor to the Deluxe. There was also a bike called a Moo Glide that Harley made in limited production. I think it was a FLSTN also. Saw your video when you traded your twin cam and I said I gotta follow this guy, he's as crazy as I am cause that is something I would do. My bike is only worth what someone will give me for it and if I found something I liked and it was lesser value but I really dug it I'd pull that trigger in a second. A new ride video with the new bars and upgrades would be nice.
Check the next video that I posted after this one.
@@SaddleTrampTV Just saw it! Man, that is an excellent set up.
The new bars look great!
Please let us know how it can run without ECM? I'm so curious now :-)
Love your channel soo much mate.
All the best from Germany.
And I wish could visit your garage one day. Bloody love you man!
Actually I am watching this on a business trip in Seoul. My world is spinning too fast. Again, keep up the good work!
I was thinking the same thing!
Someone had installed an S&S HI-4N single fire ignition in it. That pretty much does away with the need for an ecm.
@@SaddleTrampTV can you get rid of the ECM with the Dynatek 2000i? And should you get rid of it? thanks
Man I like that bike.👍
Me too.Thanks!!
It’s not a seat. It’s a saddle!!!
Cool!!!!
I use the valvoline sae 60 weight in my 97 fatboy evo
Good deal!
You are a good man, Ride what you like what makes you happy , check this out , I own a 08 olive pearl road king with a 96 motor , A 77 kz 1000 And a 06 yamadog tw 200 on road off road And I always loved that bike since 87 , and one day I bought this little bike and i ride that 200 99 percent of the time , why well it makes me happy , now I wish I could get a chopper one day , I rang the bell im new to your channel and love your videos thank you mister I enjoy seeing your bikes , too
it seems that you have very good mechanical skills....this scares me away from buying an evo
love your videos!! congrats!! I got a doubt: how come you have things writen in Portuguese on your pick up truck?
I was visiting with a friend and his family about 4 years in Sorocaba, and had learned a little Portuguese before and while I was there. I loved the people and the culture so much that picked up those decals and brought them back with me and put them on my truck.
@@SaddleTrampTV cool!! loved it!! I enjoy a lot watching your videos. They are very instructive and help me to keep my English alive in my mind. I am from Brazil but I lived for 11 years in California from 1986 to 1997. And one thing that we have in common is the love for Harley Davidson. Nowadays I ride a Dyna Super Glide Custom 2013. Big hug man!!
@@TheSilvioflyhigh Obrigado. Abraço.
@@SaddleTrampTV If you ever come to Brazil again, let me know. Let´s meet up. God bless you.
Besides MUSTANG SOFAS,SHE'LL ALSO LOVE YOU FOR CORBIN! EXPERIENCE HERE.
Hi
From Whyalla South Australia.
I get a real fine vibration from the bottom up do you ?
Yep. Nature of the beast.
@@SaddleTrampTV Did the original bike have the spotlights and windshield or did they have the turn signals on the handle bars ?
@@tommitchell2122 I got mine from an individual, and it already had the spotlights and turn signals where it is. I had to find a windshield for it.
Cool video
How are coming
Along on new shop???
Slow... Very slow. In process of persuing the permit.
So your bike is able to run fine without the ECM? I have an S&S ignition. Let me know what's up with your bike man. She's looking good. Reliable. And simple. Thanks man. !!
Look at 4:40
What county are you in,
I was born and raised in Pearl River county
Harrison
So is that a heritage classic and is it the standard 1340cc engine? If so how is that engine across country lugging that weight two up?
Did great. It's a 94 FLSTN
Did you hookup the VOES?
Indeed I did.
@@SaddleTrampTV I put a LED light mounted on the sheet metal where the fog light switch is so I can see what curve it is using or if it is working at all. Instructions at www.wildwestcycle.com/f_voestelltale.html
When we going to ride route 66 start to finish ?
Great video i have the same bike and the same year and color
Awesome!!
is your transmission of your bike is a 4 speed or 5 speed?

So I'm guessing the S&S was in place of the ECM
Bingo
I to have a 2010 fatty which I have just finished a rebuild on. Along with a sporty which is a bit of a bitza. You know bits of this bits of that. 84 frame with a 94 evo. Got it so I can get a 200 in the rear. I want to rake it out but I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to welding. Also the trail, trying to figure all that out.
i agree with you i bought this bike to spend more time with the wife
The wife give you a black eye? 😂
Lol. Nah. Close to one-too-many shots.
