Wider stance means less turning. We all no the associated truck is the best truck on there from a race bread company. Cheaper then the max too. Win win. The maxx is actually a 8th scale truck even though they label it a 10th scale. This goes for the sc trucks as well. I'm running 8th scale bodies on my slash and sc6 dirt oval cars.
@PhilthyCo RC At this point I would go with this over the OG Kaiju. I look at it like an updated OG Kaiju. Plus the drive on 4S is like a cross between the OG and the EXT.
Links are just as bad. I literally have spare parts from my Kaiju on this MT8. The chassis is different, everything in the middle is different, the front and rear are exactly the the same. Good video!
@Vivos71 Me too! Never got the MT and was hoping it was going to come in close in size but there performance is pretty god on this so far. Run videos coming.
Seems like they used the same gear boxs and bulk heads , these companies crossed over manufacturers including Helion. I probably should've grabbed mt8 it was at my lhs today I picked up a lil rc and spent almost the same lol
Let's get down to the nitty- gritty with a best of monster truck video possibly... I can't just go around buying every RC anymore, those days are over because it's too time-consuming but I guess the Skeeter probably knocked the Maxx right off the list, and now we got the Team Associated Rival and let's not forget the Outcast. How about a best of 10th scale 1/8 scale monster trucks Video? Any chance the BRCC is still on your list?
@William Perri Bill you got to bring the fire😆 That would be a hard one with the EXT, Sketer, MT8 and the Maxx. If they ever brought back the Kraton 4s or Outcast 4S that would be a good one to throw in the mix too. I would keep the BRCC out since it is 3S. I know that would be the first thing people would say, it's not fair since the BRCC is 3S. But the Outcast and Kraton 4S would be nice. Once i get more packs in with the Sketer and the MT8, I may have that through that in the queue.
@Capitol City FPV Racers For me I just go to the sites to see the measurements of the RC's but for most they like to see side by side. Most people are visual folks😊
@@Eklectickuts I like that idea. Little more involved in the editing process but I'll try to incorporate that in the next size comparison. I used to do these videos with the size of the main RC captured all in with the overview, so I'm changing format going forward to break out size comparison in it's own video. Work in progress.
I was hoping to se a comparison with some 8th scale trucks, since it is advertised as an 8th scale. Personally i am disappointed, and i will not be getting the mt8, as i had planned, Arrma Fireteam here i come :)
@Klaus Knudsen That's my point, not the size of what most would consider 8th scale. Showing to the newer 10th scale like trucks lets people know just how size can be misleading.
When i first got into the hobby, i didnt think that the size of the vehicle would make that much of a difference. Now, i wont buy anything smaller than a 1/10.
@peter Griffin I would say same outcome but the links and plastics are different. Chances are the compound of the metal in those rear links are the same. I will say I never broke them on the OG and so far not on this but I am planning to replace these. Tekno links already in the mail😀

SWB 1/8 MT's..I was going to get this but I may just get the O.G Kaiju instead
The front and rear diffs/ bulkheads are the same from what I gather..Same shocks also..Oh and wheelie bar also

@@ReadySetRC Good point
Good comparison video and its definitely helped me make up my mind 👌🏻
@Kaos R.C Thank you! Always happy to read that👍

@The RC Hotspot I picked up a set of Tekno links to swap out. Not even going to wait until these break.
Thanks for the size comparo's great information👍👍👍
@Rc Addict Thank you🤙
Nice vid once again bro 🇧🇧💯 :FYI I just clear my parts so I'll send those pics once I've done
@Django 246 Thank man! Yeah send them over, I sure would like to see that.
Good comparison video bruh 💪🏾💯🤴🏾
@CoachD RC Thanks fam🤜🤛💯🔥
I was actually hoping the MT8 would be the same as the MT8, just so I could put the EXT's wing on the AE

Awesome size comparison 👍
@Great Lakes RC Thanks man!
all so nice new when they new, nice comparison 👌

@Paul Clancy Yeah the front a rear clips share some parts there. What lil RC did you pick up that was almost the same price as this?
@Paul Clancy Thanks man!
Cool comparisons man!🤙🏽🤙🏽

@@ReadySetRC big rock crew cab on 3s is a beast though! I've looked up the 4S Outkast a few times the past couple months and it was online to buy...
@@williamperri3437 Really?! They've brought back some stock! NICE!

Time consuming? What about the cost?! lol
Just use a ruler? For measuring

So does this mean I can throw an aftermarket Maxx spec body on my MT8 🤔

First 👍 🤪💯🔥👊✌

The upper arms are the same and still weak as the redcats

I got back in to the hobby after 20 years. Now I’m lost on why associated is compared with Traxxas.
@GONZOIDS For size only.
My next one is gonna be the Redcat Valkyrie.
