That's a nasty looking carbon ring. Still, not bad shooting. Would probably have scored a 498/499 on the IBS target. I've missed your videos. Good to see one again.
What can you say, those pencil thin barrels sure shoot lights out! Well done! How many rounds fired is that carbon ring and how long do you go between cleaning? The debate never on this never ends.
That carbon ring is less than 200 rounds Tenex. I usually run a 1" circle patch lightly soaked with Bore Tech C4 using a 'PatchWorm' after every outing or two ( 50-100 rounds), followed by dry patches till clear. I might check with a borescope every two hundred or more rounds. If the ring looks like in this video, I'll let the C4 patch soak over the ring for 10-20 minutes before pulling through. That seems to always clear it.
Both excellent. It would be a tough decision. With the RimX set up with heavy long barrel, Bench trigger, bench stock and using a bench type front rest, I tend to get a few more 'X's' with the RimX. But the 1913 for me is more enjoyable to shoot. 😌
@@projectmayhem2330 RimX is not an ordinary magazine fed action as you know. Each round chambered is near perfectly fed. And the Desert Precision Gunworks build (as described) takes the rig to a high level of precision. Then, there is the fact that I am a 'weekend' shooter.........about as far as one can get from the 'pro's'. So others results might be much different. 🤔
Dang, that looks like Idaho! 😅🤣😂
Nice shooting man, with a super awesome rifle!
Glad to see you back! 😉
nice 🙂👍

That carbon ring is less than 200 rounds. It doesn't take much.
@@22rimfireultra67 No Sir, it doesn't. They can form with less than 100 rounds in some chambers. Each rifle is different in my experience.

👍🏻👍🏻
Not a great outing, but a start. Better ammunition choice will help. Cheers!
@@22rimfireultra67 A Good Start 👍🏻
How does the RimX compare to the 1913 for benchrest ?

@@22rimfireultra67 that’s nuts, so a mag fed action is comparable or better than a dedicated Annie BR 🤯
