I bought the Seagate Expansion Card and it makes the Series S experience absolutely incredible, the console really is amazing
How much did you pay for yours I don’t really want to spend 200 on storage

@@neuralismgamingtv4511 I got a 2 tb HDD that came with a months gamepas for 50, works perfectly. Especially given so many of the games that I want to play don't require an SSD.
I’ve got 4tb hdd and usb 3.1 hdd box for it, and if I don’t have enough space on internal sdd I installing game on hdd, also transfer games if I needn’t to play definite game

I own both Series X/S and find myself gaming more on my XSS. I love how compact it is and fast. I travel alot at my job and take it with me as well. When it comes to extra storage i bought a used 1tb SSD from OfferUp at $50 also bought a pre-owned 512GB Seagate Expansion SSD at Walmart for $89. I have never been happier. Okay but lets talk to about the elephant in the closet: Dying Light 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 running at 30FPS now its not XSS Fault so don't think it can't handle 60FPS or 120FPS, the developers weren't trying to put in the effort and take advantage of XSS Hardware which proven it can handle it but not as powerful as XSX but good enough tho.
The optimization won't get any better in the future either. Guardian of the Galaxy is only 30fps and looks worse on the S than x1x. It was dumb of MS to make a weaker device as it only makes it more difficult for devs and as seen they aren't optimizing it. Eventually they won't bother. They shud of just made a digital version same specs like Sony did

PSA: it isn't "underrated" if you keep seeing reviewers and journalists praising how great it is. It just means it's as great as everyone keeps saying it is.

I love my series s. I bought the internal expansion and portable hard drive for those games that are not next gen.
As someone who buying one today and upgrading from the severely underpowered switch for games such as Apex Legends and Fortnite I feel like getting a series s is going to be so much of an improvement it's going to be stellar!
It's not that much of a difference between the x1x and s tho. They also aren't optimizing games for the S cuz the downgraded hardware is a hassle. Any1 that hasn't gotten 1 should just save a little more for the real deal. If fps and smooth textures is important to you get the X instead. There's no need to rush or support scalpers tho. They will restock by Christmas

I got lucky I got the 1 TB $220 one for only $25 bucks lol

@@sinabashirinejad1701 the Target I found it at simply had it in the wrong spot behind the glass case. That had a few locked up with the $24.99 price tag in front of it (price tag also in the glass case). Didn’t take much convincing or push to get them to honor it.
It’s critical that you invest in a super high speed hdmi cable. Interestingly the super high speed hdmi cord comes with the series X but the Series S comes with the older version of HDMI. Invest in a the super High speed HDMI. You will get the most out of the 1440P.
Just a shame that a lot of new games are still locked at 30 FPS..
1080/60FPS should be the benchmark minimum..
I was genuinely surprised at how smol this boy is in person. Overall it’s not a bad console, especially for the price, but a lot of games get stuck at 30fps and I really hate that.

I have been using mine and a lot of games aren’t on 30FPS. At least games that have a quality/performance mode options. I always use performance mode.

Not true for everyone. Alot of ppl like older games which are new games if u never played them. Alot of old titles are still at 30 too cuz not a ton we're optimized

I just got my hands on an Xbox series S about three weeks ago and I love it okay the memory sucks but I am a compulsive digital collector with over 409 Xbox original games Xbox 360 games Xbox One games and now the new generation I really enjoy just been able to download something and have a blast

Easily the best feature on the series s is quick resume, I love the ability to jump from warzone, to halo infinite, Forza 5 with no load times

Until the power goes out which is bad for the console. It may be a hasle but in the long term my console will last longer cuz I don't leave it in stand by and turn it off when done. Less chance of corruption too

I was amazed that you can instantly stream games from cloud without installing them . man thats incredible feature , if you can't do that on ps5 then I think xbox x/s is better. also way better games on xbox. ive had playstation my whole life and theres rlly no game selection anymore. i love my xbox s
I bought a Seagate 2tb external drive and it works great
Really enjoying my Series S, an amazing console and great value! 60-120FPS, decent resolution in all the games I’ve played and really fast loading times (might be even quicker than the Series X?). Combined with game pass, quick resume and instant on it’s such an experience and makes gaming so easy. The only drawbacks I’ve found is whether you are happy to go completely digital (no discs) and the storage which is quite small. The storage can be easily resolved with a Seagate expansion card (500GB, 1TB, 2TB) or to save some money you can use an SSD/HDD and just transfer games from internal/external when you want to play them!
Barely any games are even 60fps on the S , only the x. New games aren't even getting optimized for it so many run 30fps . What it says it does and what it is doing is complete opposite. The lower specs are an extra headache devs don't want to deal with

It always takes about a year for refined game design and coding for every new console release. Right now, we are seeing some great games with incredible design coming out. I'm loving it.

With gamepass u can download the games on ur xbox, make ur xbox ur main console to play the games offline , and if ur talking about cloud gaming I really wouldn't recommend it a stable 50mbps is recommend for most cloud gaming but even then u should still expect it to lag a little on the best case and worst case not be playable

Here in EU there's no series X to buy at all. So I bought a series s and can't complain. It's not really the same and games like Halo Infinite runs at 60 fps while on series x at 120, but for 289,00 bucks it's a fantastic machine. Now stop charging us to play online!

My s is collecting dust honestly only bought one until I found a x it’s not a bad console it’s just not a sx it lacks 4K and can’t run certain games as well as I would like but for the price it’s a nice budget console

cloud gaming after 2-3 years into the consoles life , is still not available in all regions
hello can someone help me i got the xbox series s white controller for about 2 months i used it in bluetooth on my phone everyday one day i was using it on my phone as usual and then it turned off i changed the batteries and the syncing button wasn't working after a bit of time trying i synced it to my phone again but after a few seconds it turned off and the syncing button stop working totally i then connected it to the xbox series s using a cable and the only buttons that were working were RT LT and the sticks and the syncing button doesn't work anymore can someone help me please
first... updatecontroller under settings/devices
second... reset settings cause you probably changed without wanting that the button settings scheme...this happened to me once and lead me to a great headache.
that's all...
you can also leave your controller without batteries for some time and try back if it resettled but I never tried and maybe it couldn't work due to some bios like tampon battery....
the last but not the least you can do is to just connect a pc mouse/keyboard setup and see if it works...if so just do a full machine sw reset ,
happy gaming; stay quiet cause you can be sure is a software issue just like it was for me too
remember to update even the console that now can manage the luminosity of controller and console led for both am and pm time, pretty neat feature if you consider it leads you to a ton of battery saving... this little beast is just....a BIG beast
oh I was forgetting there is even a way to HARDWARE reset the controller just by pressing using a pin the dedicated hole for some time.... try that before everything else ;)

Mine does, I turned on keep games updated and never once the past year have I had to wait for an update except from warzone when they release a playlist update
There is a setting so that your Xbox always updates games, even when in sleep mode. Make sure it’s set to instant on and it will do updates without needing to be even turned on! I don’t even wait to download games. I leave the console in standby mode (instant on) and use my app to download a game remotely. It’s amazing!

I tried hard resetting my console, i updated the controller itself via USB cable, i used brand new batteries plus a rechargeable battery nothing still 😭😭😭
