One of best parts of the game is having random animal attacks on enemies. Once had a post get liberated because a pack of wolf's killed the enemies all I had to do was walk up to the post and it was cleared 🤣👍
No idea why everyone skips leveling up health with this game. All of this stuff is fine but a lot harder if you keep getting one shotted by everything in the game.
One tip: if your companion is on a helicopter driving, you can tell it to follow you so the heli will stay flying in the same spot in case you want to snipe people from above
At a helicopter purchase point with a companion. Summon a DLC or purchased heli. Make the companion follow. Get in the passenger side of a helicopter. The companion will start to fly the heli. Jump out when the companion takes off. Respawn another heli. Now you and the companion have helis. And they will attack with theres. Great for quick camp liberations
Tip - when playing this game, make sure you don’t just keep using fast travel - it’s better to make your way around in a car or helicopter, so if any peggie vans, animals, shrines etc show up, you can take them out for quick resistance points or money
@@cornbread7263 I should've taken screenshot from few hours ago. In a 100m drive, there were 5 Peggie patroles, 2 helicopters, about 4 civilian mercs, couple of bisons turned to deers, couple of bears turned to skunks, couple of wolverines turned to grizzlies and of course ubiquotus fucking Faith.
Black Market is a good perk if you go to Jacob's region first. In Jacob's region there are a lot of helicoptors/planes that can attack you (more than the other regions), and when you only have a 2-3 weapon loadout, it's good to have as many versatile weapons as you can get. None are more versatile than a bow. A bow with explosive arrows frees up the need for a launcher to handle the helicoptors, and for those explosive arrows, you need the black market perk. Alternatively, you can use a LMG with armor piercing bullets for the helicoptors, and those also require black market. A shotgun with incendiary shells also works well against vehicles--again, you need black market.
I'm super glad you are playing this game. You were my savior for ghost recon wildlands, and I ended up getting 100% achievements and completion on that game. Great video keep it up!

Thanks so much for that "Harvest Master" tip. I was always full loot on my plant harvestables so I did not purchase it, (thinking it only affected plant harvesting) not realizing that it affected animals and fish. My son gifted this game to me so we would have something we could do together on weekends. Loving this game so far.
Perks: I don't have have the human fish and never got into a situation where i was like "damn if i could be under water longer" and repairing vehicles? why? there is so plenty of vehicles standing around, and locksmith is taking care of the safes anyways... much more important are the perks for more ammo and more weapon slots. Autodrive: you can even enable auto drive when you drive yourself (shift on the PC) and even more important you can go to the gunner seat and do it from there, so you can man the gun. Modifications: surpressor makes life a lot easier!!! Fishing seems slower at money making than "hunting" if you do hunting as follows: drive a truck to where you have spawn cows (!) then kill cows, get the bait, stand on top of your truck, and throw the bait down - that will spawn wolves, bears, cougars.. which will drop skins, and will be very easy to kill as you can line up your shots to the head, and even the bears won't get to you.
This is the man who deserves the medal.. I completely agree - I *did* buy the 'human fish' perk, but I used it exactly ONCE for one particular quest and never once before that (about 6/10's of the way through the game) did I ever feel it was needed or necessary. Grappling hooks on the other hand, totally necessary. I also *highly* recommend the extra ammo perks. And naturally the 2nd companion and 3rd (and 4th) weapon slots. I never ever even came close to running out of money, tbh. And I never fished, hunted or went out of my way to 'get monies'. I have the weapons I need, and tbh. I'm not that interested in the re-skinned ones. And I'm sitting on like 50k without anything I particularly want to spend it on. ( yes, I bought the SA50). I bought the lockpicks (for doors) and not the repair tool. Since they overlap on safe's, I'd skip the repair tool. I *did* buy the 'repair v-hicles while you drive them' skill for some of the car chase quests though, super useful.
For solo players...buy "The Bootlegger" car to travel in. It holds driver and 1 passenger, and the driver has roof mounted weapons to fight with...better than trying to shoot a gun truck with your pistol.
Suppressors are not just cosmetic. The cylinder suppressor blocks the sights on some weapons, like the 1911. It's better to use the other suppressor on weapons you use iron sights on
the best tip to get lots of money is to get Jess Black companion, and go hunting with her. The animals won't even know you're there until they drop dead!
Never needed the underwater one, everything you'd use it for is doable without it. First things you should get is the double skins and items bag, grappling hook and parachute. Then health upgrade and then go into how you're planning to play most, either guns blazing or silent and allocate points accordingly. Also get the two guns for hire perk as soon as it's available.
For tip 5, also having a sniper rifle with a long range scope upgrade will mark enemies, possibly better than your binoculars as you have longer range with your rifle scope.. and I always make sure to buy the longest range scope you can afford as stealth is helpful.. throw in a silencer too (square shape or round doesn’t matter as the shape is cosmetic)... and if you wanna use your bow at long ranges... use a compound bow and fit it with the “marksman sight”, it gives better range and with its range finder it’ll help you with long range shots (but you’ve no zoom functions with the bow)
Been a gamer since dos 5 games my first atari 2600 about 1979. Old fart. Gamed up until about 2010. Just got back into it. Great tips on this game. Started off playing sniper elites. Love that also good to knock the rust off my thumbs. My aim thumb is about half of what it used to be but still havin a ball. 60 and going strong. My wife thinks im nuts. Oh well.
Some nice tips, I would also include that if you have a companion with you you can make them attack specific enemies by tagging them and sending your companion to them be they human or Fangs.
One of my most favorite features in Far Cry 5 was the fact people could drive you around. I've never seen that before and definitely a good edge in some scenarios - as long as you are a good shot.
Go liberate pin-k0 radar station, there is a heavy (armored) fighter on top of one of the radars there. And maybe it's the only heavy friendly fighter specialist in the game. (he is wearing an armor and M60 MG and has shield symbol, like Cheeseburger)
I know this game is old now but I just got it. I did the fishing mission to get the better fishing rod, and that’s my get rich scheme now lol. I wish it gave you more depending on weight tho
Tip #4 is even better than you articulated. It allows for incredibly fast u-turns (tip on the side and pull up) and permits you to see the ground unobstructed (when flying upside down). Great video.

Love the first tip save all furry boys to make yourself more powerful lol they are the best companions in my opinion just have more fun playing with them over the others especially the 2 flyer companions since they can easily bug out and just crash for no reason sometimes blowing up other times just sitting there on the ground yelling randomly until they die wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't nearly 20 minutes to wait for them to respawn from dying for no reason it just shatters emersion and makes the 2 flyers useless many times which sucks especially for any loud load out that can really use air support better off with an immortal grizzly mountain lion and doggo that simply can be way more useful and powerful than even NPCs with RPGs or the buffed out specialists not to mention who will screw with the guy with a 800 pound dietetic grizzly and a silent assassin that is peaches
just a tip, instead of getting the king of the jungle perk, unlock Jess at the Baron Lumber Mill. she makes you invisible to all animals. animals also don’t react to vehicles when passing by.
What I would suggest: Boomer --marks nearby hostiles and animals. then the plane guy --helps you to kill powerful vehicle enemies if you play in hard or infamous mode. thats it, those are the only two you require

Wait WTF is tip 1 a joke? First of all you unlock that perk by getting any 3 specialists, I got it after 1 animal specialist and 2 human ones, second WTF DO YOU MEAN YOU PREFER HUMANS? all the humans do is starting fights when you try to stealth or taking 10 hours to kill a target or dying, all the animals are always much better
I really love the game - Helicopter, M60, .50 cal, submachinegun - that's all I need. The problem is that for us older players (I'm 69,) the game ends for me when I hit 'Only You' or battling Faith. I made it past Faith on Easy, but couldn't make it past Only You on any setting, or Faith on Normal or Hard. At that point, the game ends for me. Yes, I backed up some saves and can replay from that point, but I still can't get past Only You. I will be contacting the relevant Disabled representatives on Monday. There should be a way to opt out of those cut scenes instead of getting trapped. It's a large map, and I still discover new things when I reload my saves, but it's frustrating not to be able to play all of the game.
Larry Wilson .i think you're talking about the "cull the herd" missions. I hated them. It's one thing to have to try to beat a mission four or five times. I only beat those missions after 25-30 tries. Very nearly ruined the far cry 5 experience. I'd like to play again, but I won't because I never, ever, ever want to go through the "cull the herd" missions again..
Hey Larry, I wasn't sure if you meant that your game program was defective or you were just having trouble beating certain missions. The "cull the herd" missions were quite easy for me using an Xbox 360 gamepad connected to my pc. There is a function (it may be optional) where if you are pointed in the right direction at an enemy, when you hit left trigger to aim the reticule will move automatically until it is on the enemies. This is crucial for those missions because you need so much speed and one bullet will destroy each enemy. So I recommend checking your options and if you play with a mouse, maybe a try a gamepad As far as Jacob, I sniped him from the base of the mountain with the 50 cal and was able to skip basically that entire mission. Hope this helps

Nice tips. It really has taken me time to warm up to FC5. I remember feeling the same way about FC4 coming from FC3. I think the game is much more difficult, and that is a good thing.
To me, fc3 feels more survival than fc4,5,6 whereas you need to craft for example a gun holster by hunting even wallets too, rather than using perk points. The most difficult to hunt is to get shark skin if i not mistaken. But anyway Far Cry games do have their own uniqueness.
Highly disagree on some of these tips (though there were some good ones). First, going for all 3 animals first as helpers. Jess makes you invisible to animals too, and Boomer marks animals for you. These two on hunting trips gets you more money than you can spend very quickly, especially if you go to this one valley where moose love to spawn non stop.

I also had no idea your companions could drive until I got onto a mounted gun on the back of a truck. The truck took off while I was trying to take down an airplane and it freaked me out. Personally my number 1 tip is to get the bow and use the bow and handgun basically the entire game before buying other guns. Well I buy them I just don't use them. Bow is life.
If you are hunting, use the bow it gives you 2 skins without the harvest perk and 4 skins with the harvest perk. Also get Jess she uses a bow and can help get skins.
Boomer + Jess Black = $$$ Use Boomber to tag animals neaby then let him stay put somewhere far from the prey to not frighten it. Now use Jess Black's advantage because if you have her with you, animals wont flee from you which means easy hunting, unlock the Harvest master skill, and you can get 4skins from an animal when you hunt using bow with Jess Boomer and Jess Black are the best stealth companions imo. Because Boomer marks enemies while the enemies dont give a shit when they see Boomer roaming about. And for Jess, well she's silent cuz she uses a bow
Careful though. Do too much side stuff you will be forced to fight the boss before being able to finish main story quests. And once you fight boss. You will not be able to do those story missions.

Additional holster.. 3rd weapon wheel slot Journey Pack... let's you carry more items from Hunting & fishing. (Again really easy $) Plane options...switch to classic for using left & right stick to do yaw roll direction
Another tip is to check how fast you reload your guns. Some guns reload way slower than other guns. It is not helpful when a big 'event' is happening if the reload is too slow.

That’s the perks I don’t like. For example. The grappling hook That’s a perk you must have. You should never need a perk to continue a campaign. They should be either found by a quest or given. I hate wasting points on stuff like that. Just my opinion

Amidst the chaos, buff and bad get into an argument about who gets to kill the last shitbird as it cries in pain... Their squabbling continues. Much to the disbelief of all other hoomans, except... the narrator. For nothing surprises the narrator, as he has not a fuck to lend.
Number 1 tip to anyone who just got this on PS Plus in December and hasn't started it yet: Do not bother with Jacob's region until you've done Faith and John because the timed hunted missions are a pain in the arse and you can't avoid them in the region whatsoever!
just started this game and took off waypoint markers, crosshair, and enemy markers for immersion. its still useful though cause waypoints still show up on the top compass but and aren't just floating shapes on screen, highly recommend if you care about immersion

Health was the first thing I started upgrading when I got the perk points.
You can use homeopaths and other consumables to take less damage.

Go liberate pin-k0 radar station, there is a heavy (armored) fighter on top of one of the radars there. And maybe it's the only heavy friendly fighter specialist in the game. (he is wearing an armor and M60 MG and has shield symbol, like Cheeseburger)

I know this game is old now but I just got it. I did the fishing mission to get the better fishing rod, and that’s my get rich scheme now lol. I wish it gave you more depending on weight tho
Tip #4 is even better than you articulated. It allows for incredibly fast u-turns (tip on the side and pull up) and permits you to see the ground unobstructed (when flying upside down). Great video.

Love the first tip save all furry boys to make yourself more powerful lol they are the best companions in my opinion just have more fun playing with them over the others especially the 2 flyer companions since they can easily bug out and just crash for no reason sometimes blowing up other times just sitting there on the ground yelling randomly until they die wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't nearly 20 minutes to wait for them to respawn from dying for no reason it just shatters emersion and makes the 2 flyers useless many times which sucks especially for any loud load out that can really use air support better off with an immortal grizzly mountain lion and doggo that simply can be way more useful and powerful than even NPCs with RPGs or the buffed out specialists not to mention who will screw with the guy with a 800 pound dietetic grizzly and a silent assassin that is peaches
just a tip, instead of getting the king of the jungle perk, unlock Jess at the Baron Lumber Mill. she makes you invisible to all animals. animals also don’t react to vehicles when passing by.
What I would suggest:
Boomer --marks nearby hostiles and animals.
then the plane guy --helps you to kill powerful vehicle enemies if you play in hard or infamous mode.
thats it, those are the only two you require

Wait WTF is tip 1 a joke? First of all you unlock that perk by getting any 3 specialists, I got it after 1 animal specialist and 2 human ones, second WTF DO YOU MEAN YOU PREFER HUMANS? all the humans do is starting fights when you try to stealth or taking 10 hours to kill a target or dying, all the animals are always much better
I really love the game - Helicopter, M60, .50 cal, submachinegun - that's all I need. The problem is that for us older players (I'm 69,) the game ends for me when I hit 'Only You' or battling Faith. I made it past Faith on Easy, but couldn't make it past Only You on any setting, or Faith on Normal or Hard. At that point, the game ends for me. Yes, I backed up some saves and can replay from that point, but I still can't get past Only You. I will be contacting the relevant Disabled representatives on Monday. There should be a way to opt out of those cut scenes instead of getting trapped. It's a large map, and I still discover new things when I reload my saves, but it's frustrating not to be able to play all of the game.
Larry Wilson .i think you're talking about the "cull the herd" missions. I hated them. It's one thing to have to try to beat a mission four or five times. I only beat those missions after 25-30 tries. Very nearly ruined the far cry 5 experience. I'd like to play again, but I won't because I never, ever, ever want to go through the "cull the herd" missions again..

Hey Larry, I wasn't sure if you meant that your game program was defective or you were just having trouble beating certain missions.
The "cull the herd" missions were quite easy for me using an Xbox 360 gamepad connected to my pc. There is a function (it may be optional) where if you are pointed in the right direction at an enemy, when you hit left trigger to aim the reticule will move automatically until it is on the enemies. This is crucial for those missions because you need so much speed and one bullet will destroy each enemy. So I recommend checking your options and if you play with a mouse, maybe a try a gamepad
As far as Jacob, I sniped him from the base of the mountain with the 50 cal and was able to skip basically that entire mission. Hope this helps

I've been hauling ass with just my suppressed shotgun and sniper. More ammo perks are crucial. Depends on how you want to play.
Nice tips. It really has taken me time to warm up to FC5. I remember feeling the same way about FC4 coming from FC3. I think the game is much more difficult, and that is a good thing.
To me, fc3 feels more survival than fc4,5,6 whereas you need to craft for example a gun holster by hunting even wallets too, rather than using perk points. The most difficult to hunt is to get shark skin if i not mistaken. But anyway Far Cry games do have their own uniqueness.

Highly disagree on some of these tips (though there were some good ones). First, going for all 3 animals first as helpers. Jess makes you invisible to animals too, and Boomer marks animals for you. These two on hunting trips gets you more money than you can spend very quickly, especially if you go to this one valley where moose love to spawn non stop.
Need to get up a mountain side but dont have a grapple or simply get annoyed by grappling?
You can swim up waterfalls!

I also had no idea your companions could drive until I got onto a mounted gun on the back of a truck. The truck took off while I was trying to take down an airplane and it freaked me out. I thought a Peggie was trolling me until I realized it was a companion!
Personally my number 1 tip is to get the bow and use the bow and handgun basically the entire game before buying other guns. Well I buy them I just don't use them. Bow is life.
If you are hunting, use the bow it gives you 2 skins without the harvest perk and 4 skins with the harvest perk. Also get Jess she uses a bow and can help get skins.

You can also find a M-60 near the water plant. A large antenna on a hill near by hides the weapon. Just inside of the fence.
I find tap fire is the best for preserving ammo

Use Boomber to tag animals neaby then let him stay put somewhere far from the prey to not frighten it. Now use Jess Black's advantage because if you have her with you, animals wont flee from you which means easy hunting, unlock the Harvest master skill, and you can get 4skins from an animal when you hunt using bow with Jess
Boomer and Jess Black are the best stealth companions imo. Because Boomer marks enemies while the enemies dont give a shit when they see Boomer roaming about. And for Jess, well she's silent cuz she uses a bow

Careful though. Do too much side stuff you will be forced to fight the boss before being able to finish main story quests. And once you fight boss. You will not be able to do those story missions.
The only other game I have seen that has your companion drive a vehicle for you is Just Cause 2/3. :) Great video!

Another tip is to check how fast you reload your guns. Some guns reload way slower than other guns. It is not helpful when a big 'event' is happening if the reload is too slow.

That’s the perks I don’t like. For example. The grappling hook That’s a perk you must have. You should never need a perk to continue a campaign. They should be either found by a quest or given. I hate wasting points on stuff like that. Just my opinion

Number 1 tip to anyone who just got this on PS Plus in December and hasn't started it yet: Do not bother with Jacob's region until you've done Faith and John because the timed hunted missions are a pain in the arse and you can't avoid them in the region whatsoever!

Darkdally true, i only prefer the grid because i play on PC with mouse and keyboard. If I used a controller I would probably also choose the wheel.

just started this game and took off waypoint markers, crosshair, and enemy markers for immersion. its still useful though cause waypoints still show up on the top compass but and aren't just floating shapes on screen, highly recommend if you care about immersion
