You could do it with a bow and get it even faster
No, because with a bow you have to sell about 2.5 times as often. That means either returning to the vendor constantly or wasting kills. I briefly mentioned this in the video. Overall it's quicker with a .50 sniper. One round with a bow gets you skins quicker, but by the time you get to one animal, you're full on another and the kills are wasted. The sniper gets you a full round and back to the vendor with the least wasted kills.
it comes down to math. with a sniper I get 2 skins, with a bow I get 4. 2 goes into 10, but 4 does not. so after only 2 kills of caribou i'm wasting my shots, whereas with a sniper I get 5. this means I can continue killing and getting more skins from other animals for longer without wasting caribou skins and without returning to vendor. It should be simple math, but that's the best I can explain it.
Also, a sniper is always a one hit kill. no messing around and chasing the prey. One shot and on to the next.
Cinegames we tried her, but she kept hitting our Alphas with her fire arrows and it was pissing us off. Mathematically, I don't think she's a bad choice solo, but yeah that random fire arrow thing that destroys the skins was more of a variable than we wanted. Two of us with .50 snipers did better in the long haul with no companions. (Boomer was a help because he marks for you, but I elected not to use him cuz his incessant barking annoyed me)

Darkdally I also like the farm by falls end because the infinite cows give bait and bait spawns black bears, cougars, and wolf leaders. I can make 10,000 in 10 minutes there

This is a fun spot, though it loses a few points for being far from a spawn point, unlike Taft. For solo, I took both Jess and a random archer, and used a bow myself. It really speeds things up having two archers, though they do set the fields on fire quite often. Thanks from the future!

Jess Black will not use incendiary arrows when you order her to get close to a prey first, and when you also hire a fighter with a bow, you ll get more skins in less time.. Jess Black has the perk of being 'one with the wild' so deer will not run away. I earn 10 K in just 6 min tops near Raptor Peak... The majority of the gamers doesn't play in coöp. If you play coop you need to return the favor on the next run too ofcourse :-)
Jess can also one hit kill alpha mooses when shes in the right position

I've been hunting with a bow near falls end in one of the open fields. Cows and turkeys spawn constantly to keep my bait full. I stand on top of a truck with a .50 cal in case a cult plane attacks me (prior to John Seed demise) and use a bow to get 4 skins per kill. Back bears will sometimes go down with 2 direct headshots. Most of the time a 3rd finishing shot is all thats needed so it's rare that I need to jump off the truck and chase them down. Cougars and wolves, including the leader wolves, go down with one direct headshot from the compound bow. The perk that lets you reload arrows faster is really nice to have in addition to the journey pack and harvest master perks. I too pick a spot near a fishing vendor. Dont keep track of the time, but its probably $2-3K every 4-5 minutes. I'll definitely give this strategy a shot tomorrow. Cheers!
I might be late to the party but what I’ve noticed is that the final shot that kills the animal dictates the amount of skins dropped. Example, I lit a bear up with the good ole m60 but my friend got the last shot in with a bow and we got 4 skins, so you could weaken the animal with the 50 with one shot and then hit it with the bow and get 4 skins.
Another nice spot I found is the big clearing near the top of raptor peak, there are bisons that keep reappearing and, I dont know about after killing Faith but, some bisons are ‘drugged’ and transform into other predators, not as good as this one but if you dont feel like going there, well, here you go, hope this helps someone.
Yeah, that is a good spot. There is also a building there with a vendor that pats around it for selling. We hunted there for awhile the other night, and the number of bison we got kept us constantly selling skins. It may be in a future video. Thanks man :)
Once you kill Faith that spot becomes completely useless

yeah i found that part too i keep on falling off of the mountain while doing the prepper stash there and realized theres tons of bisons then just went on a rampage
There’s a bison hunting spot just a little south of FANG center where there’s bison galore but there’s also bears and wolverines spawning there too, and it’s right next to two general store salespeople so you can just keep selling the skins and refilling ammo and hunt forever I was on $0 about 45 minutes ago and now I got $22,500
A tip for keeping the vendor alive is to tell Cheeseburger to stay right next to him. Most of the time the animals will aggro your bear and Cheeseburger is a beast.

Should know if you have Jess with you the animals will not attack you. You can literally walk right next to them and they won’t know. It’s a skill she has. Plus if you use the bow not only is if not money it’s unlimited arrows with Jess

Use Boomer (the dog) as a companion. He will spot / mark quarry for you making your hunting expeditions even easier. Small game such as ducks, grouse, & hare he will also retrieve for you about 90% of the time as long as they don't go in the water.
Plus you can get feathers off of the birds. Eagles, hawks, crows, etc.

I found that the ridge to the left of Raptor Peak is also very good for hunting. It has lots of moose, wolves, cougars, and deer. There is also always at least 2 hunters (shops) walking the ridge so you can sell your stuff. Great video by the way!

Iv been doing this in this exact place , but if you use a bow the skin will double because when you shoot it with a 50.cal it will it only gives you two but with a bow it will give you four .
I still prefer to so my hunting just anywhere I see a nice large area rather than follow a hunt route
Skitchy not necessarily as I go, I will just set out in a field and hunt animals rather than follow a route, its more just to take a break from the whole combat scene and car chases

TechYK 1k a minute is relatively slow though. I don’t know about other people but I’ve never had a problem with money in this game. I’m like 2/3rds through and have 100k of money I’m not spending. I don’t see why they would patch such a minute exploit
Hey I know this is really far in the future but since new game+ is a thing, you can upgrade your perk that allows you to carry more skins so the bow would be a really good choice for this in new game+ which is what I'm doing, anyways thank you for the place

Theres a spot where you find the helicopter girl the moose spot theres a shop and with the girl to make animals passive you can get 3000-6000$ per minute depends on if you get alpha moose skin or just normal remember that with bow kill +4 animal skin gun kill +2 animal skin ONLY so goodluck

There is a much better spot in I think the most western part of the henbane river, go with a bow, boomer and the hunter girl ( I forgot her name) and it’s way quicker.
Not saying this is a bad spot either just saying. The only bad part about the spot that I talked about is every single time you go the ( every save, if you die, exit the game Etc) and you have to spend most of your time trying to find “ the sweet spot” but once you get there it’s amazing even outside the sweet spot it’s good but the sweet spot is best
Nice I will use this spot after I lift up 100% of the fog. Walking around the borders of the map takes long time so I brought Jess and another Hunter with me to farm skins along the way. It's a much larger circle, but I will only need to do it once.

Just hunt bisons located south west of FANG zoo, you can sell $200 per bison.
They respawn quickly after gathering 10 units of bison meat.

The bow is definitely worth it. Just use ghost and sneak up. If you have the alien blaster you can just bop them and the other person shoots w bow

Obviously your tactics work very well for you. I’m a solo player so far so I use Jess and another archer as my companions and we can hunt most game with bows only.

In regards to the Bow, only the kill shot needs to be with a bow to get the 4x skins. You can weaken the animal with a rifle and then kill with the bow. Aswell you may note that if you have already liberated the area (killed Jacob) there may not be any Peggy Patrols. I noticed this at another hunting spot I frequent.
In regards to Jess and Boomer, Every time I go with Jess, she always used the incendiary... Boomer... well he won't shut up. His bark makes the animals run away if you get too close.

OxM ? It doesnt matter how much youre selling because technically its the same as using a gun. You sell twice
as much but you get twice the skins. It cancels its-self out.

I've had bears and Wolverines and alphas all spawn without any bait needed and I personally use the bow because there is 1 guy on each side of the lake with a shop and headshot witch is one hit on most animals and collect skins much faster. Also with the headshots they have a shitty hit zone you have to go more for the snout of the animal to get the one shot.

Me and a buddy of mine use this same spot when we need some cash, and yeah the alpha deer will spawn there, but they are pretty rare

To anyone who sees this, if you get to where faith is making you hallucinate animals, the field behind Lorna’s truck stop is a great hunting ground, and, if you have a d2, you can one shot any animal 99 percent of the time
I'm new to this game and I did a round by myself and I cleared 10000 . Thanks for the tip. Bow hunting takes to people. I play alone, but it's still the fastest way to make my money.
The moose hunting spot near raptor peak is pretty great, alpha moose spawn often and there is sometimes upwards of 8 moose spawned in the general area at a time. Not quite the variety of your spot, but thats usually where i go for a quick influx of cash. Biggest problem is some cult planes will spawn every now and then, but as long as you dont shoot them you are usually pretty safe.
Why give your friend zero credit for finding the spot??? He should at least get some credit. LOL. Kidding.
I had a cougar kill the vender then a grizzly killed the other vender walking her dog to another cougar attack on the fishing guy then got killed by those damn peggies loosing all my skins...to be respond back at Dutches Island...I went on a killing spree on my way back to that spot

you guys are doing it wrong, you should be using a bow with jess black as your current specialist, you’ll become invisible to animals, plus you get extra skin with the bow

Yes, both players get the same loot and can sell them. So when we drop a caribou, we each get the 2 skins.
Yeah, aswell its only $50 more but if you are full on skins you can get damaged skins for burning, exploding, running over, and killing with a mounted mg on vehicles
so you can do that for some extra money when you are full.
Filling up your bags "too fast" isn't an issue. The faster you're filling the bags, the faster you're making money.

Unfortunately I am very late to this video but I have found a spot for hunting. It seems like a bigger area but I think it a smaller area. It spawns wolverines, deer, bison, moose black and grizzly bears, cougars, and skunks. For alphas it spawns deer wolverines and skunks, bait for the wolves.

I found that if you use the spot in the video with Jess and an archer as your teammates (if ur playing solo) and use a bow it works super well the most money I've gotten, in one shot, ( not one full loop) $23,330. Thanks for sharing this spot I really need money in game. Also, UPGRADE THE JOURNEY PACK PERK!!! If you upgrade it to level 10 you can carry 20 of each skin.

Just wanted to give a shout out and thank you, this video was fundamental in my New Game strategy. (NOT New Game+) Just after liberating Dutch's Island, my first stop was to rescue/recruit Boomer. I chose Hope County Jail as my next destination for several reasons. (1) Securing the jail gives you convenient access to 4 out of 5 types of shops, including weapons, helicopter, vehicle, and boat shops all in one location. (2) Once secured it spawns free helicopters in front of the jail. (3) It provides convenient fast travel for later. I then took said free helicopter to the location in this video. Once there using the method layed out, was able to hunt/sell/repeat until having enough money to buy and fully customize and uprade every weapon available to me this early in the game (including prestige items if desired) and use said weapons to run through alot of the challenges checklist, earning many perk points and obtaining useful perks very early on, and continue money farming until having enough money to fast travel back to the jail, making my first 2 vehicle purchases (Prestige Armed Helicopter with machine guns, rockets, and flares, and Prestige armed vehicle with rockets and machine guns.) I then take said helicopter and explore the ENTIRE map, marking all locations including silos, residences, cult properties and fast travel points, effective eliminating the need for aerial transportation with all fast travel points opened, the helicopters need is reduced to combat support. I then fast travel to all Prepper Stashes, and complete those, from there the rest of the Specialist Guns for Hire first, then i start the storyline. All together one awesome start to this game. Credit to you and this hunting location for giving the foundation for this impeccable strategy.

So... I noticed this while watching my gf play. I told her to try the 45/70 rifle, because I just had and liked it, and it definitely shows its 8-damage off when shooting peggies. (.50 cal is 9 Damage). But when shooting animals, it was like the game just treated the 45/70 like it was shooting regular rifle ammo, where a headshot with 2-3 follow up shots to the body still wouldn't kill a Moose. It seemed as if the game was counting each shot from the 45/70 as if it were single shots from the AR-C or something like it.
The same thing was happening for her with the Desert Eagle, where, it one shots Angels, Even with a body shot, but on animals, it would take 4 shots. A bear or Moose doesn't require 4 x 50-cal shots to go down, so obviously the game isn't counting Desert Eagle shots on animals as 9-damage each. And this was at very close range too, like 5-10 feet. Maybe it's counting the shots like regular pistol ammo(?), I don't know.
Technically, the 45/70 _IS_ using rifle ammo, and other rifles do 4 or 6 damage, like the AR-C (4) and the
AK (6), but the 45/70 is supposed to do 8 damage. It's like they programmed that added damage in for Peggies, but forgot to apply it to animals(?).
It's more bizarre with the Desert eagle though, because it actually uses 50-cal ammo, so it shouldn't take more than 2 body shots, just like with the SA-50. Even with the first shot being a head shot, with 2-3 follow-up body shots, bears and Moose still needed yet another shot from her Desert Eagle, from a few feet away (they were attacking, not running away, and she didn't miss-- she literally couldn't miss, it was full-screen bear or full-screen Moose).
No offense but this video is pointless.
You don't need to hoard money in FC5, because there is very little to spend on. Everything I really need to buy is:
-the Whitetail Militia AKM (expensive but available early), you never have to spend a buck on ammo (because all enemies carry it).
-An attack helicopter (imho Tulip is slow)
-An RHIB with an M2 MG on it.
All other expenses can wait (you're basically buying paintjobs), and you'll be making heaps of money hunting whatever pops up before you as you travel.
I finished the main story with 100K+ unspent money because I had nothing to spend it on.
My kid has Aspergers, OCD, he's retentive and on the spectrum. He watch your video 3 years ago. He has been locked up in his room ever since. He has been doing this loop for 12 hours a day, every day. He now has $6,533,008,481
UPDATE!! This thread was written a while back! Journey pack is now upgradable to 50 points! Max for every animal is 60 skins! You have to play through the game first to upgrade! Bring the 50 cal auto (Free State) and the bow (Recurve) is essential! Ten animal kills gives you 40 skins and room for more! Max out on cougars, wolves, bears, and caribou for about $50,000 in less than an hour! Cash in and do it again! Practice with the bow! You will need to master it to beat the game on Hard and Infamous! (Peggies can even hear silenced shots, but they can't hear the bow, and a well placed shot can drop a flamethrower guy or one of those annoying German helmet guys with the M-60s!)
Part of me wishes thate were more guns in this game LOL - I made an easy, no effort 100k in no time and use this spot regularly, but I have bought everything :( At least I can scream "HAHA I'M RICH I KILL YOU!" at Peggies when they attack
The absolute best hunting spot for me is the mountain around Raptor Peak. If you enlist Jess, use the fury homeopathic, and make your way down the mountain, you can easily walk away with over 100k worth of bison, cougar, and moose skins. You can maximize the number of skins obtained from each kill without firing a single round. It was using this method I discovered the money limit in FC5 for Xbox One is 999,999.
DUDE, this place ROCKS! For such a remote place I kept quite busy killing animals and Peggies. Two thumbs up on this video.
Go to raptors peak but a bit below it, its open space with, Bison, Moose, alpha Moose and some cougars

I like using Jess when hunting because the animals don't run off as quickly when she's around. And normally she does not use incinerate arrows on animals, mostly on the Peggy's she goes ballistic.
This dude's name should be captain obvious...nothing new to see here...move along...plus, if you kill two animals with a bow(4 skins apiece), you dont have to seel right then...simply shoot the next one with a rifle or pistol getting you #9 and #10...oh, and its just as easy to do all this by yourself...
