@@philliparthur8672 yet Vince might aswell have never given him the WWE title ever again after Del Rio cashed in on him and have him stuck on midcard forever up until he left, but he had one of the longest world title reigns in modern era, main evented PPVs and even had a WM match with the Undertaker. They booked him strong up until his very last day in the WWE but he was still unhappy because he believed he deserved the WM main event more than anyone else. WWE was at the time the only big stage around and instead of trying to make the best product they shit on fans and talent saying well what are you going to do go back to performing in front of a few hundred fans huh huh. I personally loved how they looked out for Brodie's son afterwards. Between the potential contract offer in his future, giving him his father's retired belt, and just making sure he had the opportunity to have a fun moment during his father's memorial show (even picking the headline match for the night), they made it so clear that he'd always have a home with AEW.

Notice how wildly different the backstage vibe is for the two companies. In WWE, you're constantly walking on eggshells and trying to never stand out, and if you have an idea... Might as well keep it to yourself - because you're not gonna see Vince, and they would NEVER take creative advice from you. Who do you think you are, anyway?! So, you just watch what AEW is doing hoping one day you'll get the chance to leave or get fired. I feel so badly for them.
Meanwhile, in AEW: A bunch of the talent have their own vlogs, so there's usually some shenanigans going on backstage with a bunch of happy kids that are having the time of their lives. Rocky booked his return match a year from his arrival. Punk booked his return match in 2 weeks from his arrival. Rocky came back as a parady of himself. Punk came back the same way he left: 'Best in the World.'
