I think sure overwatch isn’t as big as it used to be or as interesting, but my love for the gameplay is still their. The reason I started playing was because of all the heroes you could chose and the different play styles and abilities.
I wish they didn’t add so many game breaking ability’s.
I wish there wasn’t so many no skill dps.
i just got into it, i think it’s actually fun. i wish it wasn’t dry feeling to me sometimes

i used to play overwatch hours a day and now i dont even have it dowloaded just becasue of how much it has changed
Same. It was my favorite game for years but it’s just not fun anymore. All the new characters made the game more frustrating.
I started playing overwatch for the first time on the Nintendo switch and it’s my favorite game in the whole world 😀 I think it’s being introduced to a lot of new people who have a switch

Your teammates won't magically start being consistent. And majority won't be able to relate to this in brutal honesty.

It's fun until its shit.
I've been playing it since the beta on the ps4 & been through it all. I still play it & there were times I've stopped playing a few times cuz I didn't have friends to play it on most days. It also drained me cuz I was trying to get better with every character (still learning & relearning most heroes) cuz I wanted to be able to play as everyone to help complement my team.
It's the most balanced overwatch in a long time but competitive is forever broken unfortunately. They've never been able to fix it & they need to before they begin to release OW2. Anyway, at its core, Overwatch is great now.
Also, I know you mentioned the Mei Snowball but don't forget about YetI Hunter haha. That one is pretty fun 😊

I use to play with friends, didn't really enjoy playing Overwatch solo
But then the friends stopped playing Overwatch :D
Basically, for me, fun with friends, not so fun solo and stopped playing all together
I have my issues with the game but I still have a lot of fun in Overwatch. I do just wish that Blizzard was better at balancing the heroes. BUT, I still play Overwatch very often.
Overwatch is one of my favorite games of all time. I quit playing over a year ago. Most high elo players are just doing bronze to GM challenges, and high elo players still in high elo think comp is a joke. I think it's wrong for the streaming business to say, but unfortunately they're kind of right. For me Mei is still a thing, with so many ways to throw toxicity is at all time high, high elo lacks incentive, and I have to have an elevated blood alcohol content to enjoy it. I want to feel like being good at that game would be awesome but it doesn't anymore. Being good at that means more disappointment, my games will take longer to get into, I will face people who won't let me snowball or carry, and I'll be at the mercy of people with the lowest mental fortitude. Alot of those problem could be fixed if there was an incentive to play at your best, but I feel like with how complacent Blizzard is right now with OW2 those issues would be addressed anytime soon. IMO if anyone thinks that OW2 will be better don't get your hopes up.
I think the game would benefit greatly from an improved tutorial. I remember starting back in the open betas and not understanding wtf mercy's "gun" (the healing stream) even did. They hardly explain how capturing a point actually works. No payload tutorial. No grouping up tutorial. Blizzard tends to (with many games) rely on the community to educate itself through shared info and that kind of sucks. So many new players don't understand for so long that it's not like a typical shooter where it's you vs the whole enemy team on your own. I hope Overwatch 2 improves that in a way. Other than that, the game is now more or less what it's always been: adapt or die. I think towards the end of the OWL season we saw that the meta was starting to get to a place with a lot more variance, which means that they're on the right path with their quick and constant tweaking of #s and abilities.

My thoughts to Overwatch is honestly, the game is fine although it does get pretty dry when playing solo BUT after taking a short break and coming back it was quite enjoyable. And in the end, if you find the game enjoyable then there's nothing stopping you from playing. Console Overwatch is legit just me playing with the same 11 people and we all just ended up friending eachother so that's s W 😂

overwatch is alot better than it use to be balance and quality of life wise but the lack of content hurts it. I still play it and have fun but not as much as i use to. OW2 is coming soon so it wont be too long.
I took a break once I think the Pink Mercy skin came out, I just swapped to PC and have been having way more fun on it

It’s trash, I don’t know what this comment section is all about, but role queue is dumb, blizzard nerfed everything that isnt dps focused and teammates are toxic AF with mercy pockets and tanks that don’t use barriers.
Coming from someone, who quit it after the last summer games event after playing since release trying to convince myself this game isn’t trash now
Quick Play Classic and those arcade modes are the only worthy parts to play.

But I’m partial to the controller comms myself (which everyone ignores, part of the problem 😓) but yeah comp, no one talks unless they wanna get toxic, so if you just wanna check it out, mess around, arcade all the way. 🤙
@@ejc112847 well people do talk on mic. That’s why they have LFG, and once you find people you have good synergy with you can keep playing with them. I mean there is a bunch of toxicity on there tho

I just recently switched to PC and i totally get what you mean, I think it’s because a console is catered towards video games specifically, while a PC isn’t. Atleast that’s my take on it
Over watch is still game I wish still able to play but I’m currently working two jobs
I went from bronze to platinum but no matter how much i improve I feel i am never doing really great (like smurfs are) this game is not fun for average player. you need to be great or cheat with alt accounts to get real fun. community is toxic af.

this is exactly what I ran into...I had every mercy skin on ps4 now nothing. I've saved 10k credits and have zero incentive to buy anything anymore. Its lazy af they cant just cross save the same way destiny 2 does especially with way less funding. Blizzard lives to rip you off. Just look at their 30th anniversary gave us nothing but an oversized garbage bundle to buy.

I think it was season 4 I played overwatch really competitively. School was out and over the summer I played at least 3 hours a day if not the whole day. I was maybe low diamond at the start and I ended in gm. Once the season ended I had played so much that I didn't want to play it anymore and all of my friends played different games or low gold so I couldn't play with them competitively. So I just lost interest in the game, but after watching this I am interested in playing casually again.
I went from Xbox to Switch. Switch is supperrrrr dead. Still fun though. Literally play in quickplay.
im a paladins player and just now finally played overwatch and... frankly paladins is an objectively deeper game that in my opinion is insanely better. ive played about 3 hours of overwatch and still am giving it a shot because it certainly can be fun even if the frenetic gameplay isnt something i can take seriously as far as being "competitive" but the community, like most games, is almost too much to deal with. in my few hours of quickplay i dont think ive seen a single game where a team didnt lose the first fight and immediately lose at least two players. combine that with the number of what i assume are teenagers saying theyre horny in general chat and the jackasses telling me im trash or someone else theyre trash and to kill themselves and im curious how this game was ever popular to be honest. its a decent game, its a fun little thing, and i dont find any aspect of it, gameplay or conceptually even mildly impressive

i wanna clarify by saying i, for whatever reason, expected to love overwatch
Deflect is shit, anti nade is shit, immortality is shit, echo laser beam is shit. This game just gets worse and worse with the new updates and more heroes they add. Oh yeah also most of the community ruins it for me with the toxicity. OH YEAH, I forgot to mention the fact that tanks and heals throw games to get those queue time passes.

All the new characters ruined the game besides ana. I say this as a player with 4k hours. Too many shields, too much counter pick play, many of the new maps suck.... Overwatch used to be fun and now it’s frustrating most of the time, it’s just not much fun.
Overwatch and Blizzard disappointed me with their failure to update the game with meaningful balancing changes that supported the team meta that overwatch was initially built on, its now been dumbed down, stripped of any utility or specialty abilities and forced to play the way blizzard wants you to play, while dealing with mercy GFs pocketing their shit reapers, Orisas who only shield themselves and Lucios who say NO when asking for healing, without a competent team or friends to play with solo queuing in quick play or comp is a nightmare and before calling it officially quits, I was playing arcade QP Classic just to have any remote kind of fun. Which sucks because this game could have been great and fuck if they think I’m buying OW2.
I think I'm more sad you switched to PC than the lack of interest in 'sweaty' Overwatch. It's hard to find channels who push for this game on console. Yeah the experience is better on PC but I think it contributes to a lot of console players feeling ignored (including dev updates not balanced for console, lack of esports etc). Appreciate all the videos you have put in on console Overwatch over the years though. I certainly learned a lot. And I miss those thumbstick ads!
Overwatch devs never tried to balance things for casual play, only for high-end competitive play. They catered to the e-sports market and their playerbase suffered for it. As more and more people left, the community has only become more toxic which causes more non-toxic people to leave and creates a vicious cycle. They like to pretend they listen to their community but they blatantly ignore the things their players actually want, for example the community constantly calling for a bastion nerf but they buff him instead... TWICE. Blizzard only cares about how much money they can bring in and not about making a good/fun game as evidenced by how they treated the whole uproar around the Honk Kong protests. I'll buy Overwatch 2 when it comes out, but I'll buy a used disc so that they don't make a dime off my purchase, and I'll play the pve mode with my friends so that I don't want to pull my hair out playing the unbalanced dumpster-fire that is Overwatch PvP.

2-2-2 broke the game in my opinion i played it hated it and quit the game.
1 year later installed the game played 1 match an remembered why i deleted the game.
the new heroes all suck to fight against.
the game was at its best at release and every update made the game a bit less fun to play.

Hmm. Sure, I think so! some ways yes and some ways no. In fact, it might make people more troll-y tbh.
PC and arguably Switch players using the motion control aim will be far more accurate than the rest of the console playerbase. It would be a nightmare to try balance a competitive game when console players simply cannot compete with the accuracy of a PC Widowmaker dinking their heads constantly.
It'd be good if you play warzone sometimes, its a very competitive game for me and very funny
It's become TV you just go through the motions and have no happiness, balancing for low ranks sucks lots of heroes have either no impact or aren't viable, Rein/Zarya is overbearing with few alternatives. The game constantly makes you feel bad you're not a pro and generates excessively long loss streaks it's not worth your time really

In the end overwatch is a “push one button” kind of game. It’s designed to get your Ult and then use it to kill everyone around you with very little skill. Not my ideal gaming experience
