Tasting More Mangos! (Phoenix, Carla, Fruit Cocktail, Son Pari)

Chris, Har and Scott gathered to taste four new-to-us mango varieties. Included are 'Phoenix', 'Carla', 'Fruit Cocktail' and 'Son Pari'. Find out what each mango tastes like and which mango was their favorite!

I love Har because he eats the mango skin like I do

I was floored when Scott said for him Neelum is a 10, one of the few mangos that I've found to be really objectionable. I don't think the carrot flavor of Neelum is one that most people would savor. I got rid of my tree.

10 for neelum, then ratnagiri alphanso will be 25.😊 Maybe in US taste varies.

Is Carla better than Honey Kiss or Cotton Candy? Is Carla a September+ mango?

Not sure if Carla would last into September... definitely August.
Comparing those three varieties is tough... so much depends on who's tasting the fruit. All are very good.
