- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!! I hope my viewers are enjoying the new 4K videos!!! Today, Ethan and I take our flagship Peterbilt 389-X, Miller Industries, Century 1150R heavy rotator towing and recovery unit to try to help out a Deere John....I mean a John Deere. The operator was being polite and pulled off the road to allow another vehicle to pass. Unbeknownst to him, the road side was NOT solid and it "sucked" in the large spray rig and wouldn't let go. My viewers know this isn't the first time we've dealt with these top-heavy spray rigs. This one isn't a turtle though, yet... and it's our job to keep it from becoming one. As always, our "ARC" nemesis lurks overhead. This was a delicate task and an honor to work with such good, hard-working people. God bless our farmers. Thank one when you see one. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

Enjoyed the video. Tell Ethan to smile and at least act like he is enjoying work. 😂😂😂
Absolutely
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,,,,, thought im the only one,,,,,,,, we want to see his teeth or lil smile at least
I bet the farmer won't be so gracious next time he meets someone on a narrow road in that spayer rig. Nice job helping him out of a jam.
I think people need to give the right of way to agricultural vehicles. I have driven nearly into the ditch to do so. But those that don't are self entitled jerks. My opinion.
No good deed goes unpunished!
No.
Nope, I bet next time he's gonna drive 20 or 30 yards back to that wide-open driveway.
Could a scout with a 2-way check the road way ahead, to make sure the road is clear.
My hat's off to anyone who is trying to make a go at farming or ranching these days! Good luck & God's blessings to you for helping to feed us & our animals.
The way you take your time is huge. Job well done.
To Ron Pratt I HOPE you and your family and all of your employees and their families Always have a Blessed and Safe Day wherever you all go and do every day! From a retired truck driver
I would have thanked the farmer for what he does because without him, none of us will have food.
Lol, Ethan is moving kinda slow this morning. He must have stayed out too late!
😂
Maybe just having a bad day
I didn't notice! But what I did notice is that he listens to his dad and that is awesome!!!
I watching your videos and I have my bells on your videos and I'm subscribed to your videos and 👍
Ron, a guy who's incredible at thinking on his feet to come up with innovative and practical solutions to problems, working with a couple of farmers, who by definition are incredible at thinking on their feet to come up with innovative and practical solutions to problems. Lot of fun to watch! Thanks Ron for the video.
Ron, even though your pond was a private endeavor, you could have still gotten a soil and site assessment and design assistance from your local SWCD and NRCS office. That is one of the things they truly enjoy doing - providing technical assistance to landowners like yourself. They will pull a soil survey and assess the condition of the soils and topography of the site, and provide you advice to correct your pond and drainage issues.
That ladder freaked me out, didn't like it when you were standing under it 🤕 .
Would be good to see a video of the work you do to sort out that drag winch. Great video thanks Ron.
Don't miss the blessing of having power lines on the other side ot the road.
Thank you for helping the farmer, we have no food without them, people forget how important they are to us. Have a great week end.
Thank you for the laugh to start my day. That video title is awesome. I really enjoy seeing the variety of jobs you do. You do them well. Please stay safe, and God bless.
I ENJOY WATCHING YOU WORK NO GUESSING ON YOUR PART YOU KNOW YOUR TRADE WELL !!
Ethan has come a long way! He seem a little bit nervous and hesitant when he is with his dad on a job.i think he worries about making a mistake or disappoint his dad,but hw gonna be alright and become one heck of a operator just like his dad..////on another note!! Have you guys figure out why in the heck that drag line is such a pain in the rear to work with?
Glad to see your ARC nemesis behaved them self's and stayed on the opposite side of the road out of harms way. You made a nasty locking job seam easy, all though for a moment when the left front wheel came off the road I thought you were going to be in trouble you court it. I hope your finger heals quickly. God bless.
When you find yourself in a hole. The first thing to do is stop digging.
Mr. Ron Pratt. You da man! Great work as always sir! 💪🏻
You all are amazing people and do great things!
That winch has been a "drag" since day one! Great job as always!
Fri lunch time and Ron's put out the next video to watch whilst rating my lunch
Ron I truly like you analytical training! My wife says I always look for the negative! No I look for potential problems.
Assessment to a problem is key to a successful out come.
😀🛫
I do believe that the biggest thing that contributed to the success of the recovery was that they stopped as soon as they were in trouble. If they had tried anything, I do believe that you would have a much bigger mess on your hands.
I enjoy your videos. you show what it really takes to do the job right
Ron. Thanks again for sharing your videos. Stay safe and God bless
Although it looked a nice job, sunny day, little traffic and really pleasant farmer, in reality, there was plenty to go wrong. Very expensively, as well. But, as ever, Ron, you calmly weighed up all the options and delivered a successful rescue.
It was nice that you could find the time also to discuss pond matters!! Hope your finger is better. Best Wishes Roy W UK
Great job, guys. Praying for healing for your finger, Ron.
That yellow cable dropping is a classic reason for wearing a hard hat. Mine saved me from getting my nose chopped off when a worker high above me dropped a puddy knife. That notch in my hats bill is my reminder.
Well done Ron & Ethan. Stay safe!
You guys are so good at what you do! God bless you always!
Nice job.
Ron I was listening to your comments about your pond with farmer…check with the local extension agent and/ or MDC ( conservation agent ) before you stock crappie they will over populate in a pond , they are not ideal for small bodies of water. Your better off with Bass, bluegill ( or shell crackers) and catfish. The before mentioned agencies can point you to right person for advise on your pond leaking also.
God Bless
the leak issue sounded like the clay lining the pond was not covering it completely, a gap near the lower water level.
Hi Ron,I like the quick whit just got your latest video (About the tractor)13 15hrs. Mike uk 🇬🇧

The tator to the rescue!!!!!
Dashboard isn't the proper place for Ethan's hardhat. Other than that thanks for another awesome video.
Awsome job ron 😀
Very enjoyable my friend. My favorite type video; no injuries, wrecks, damage, or high volume traffic. Takes tons of tension off with those variables removed. Love the ones with farm equipment. Excellent video! Murfreesboro TN
Thank you so much for the video please post more videos a week God bless
What you is like watching a dance. Perfect movement and time. ❤
Love the video title, pure genius!
Good morning to you and Ehan hope to find you guys well
Ethan should listen to his DAD and always wear hard hat when he it's working. GOOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
what a way to start out the day a new video. yea
Haven't watched you in a minute but saw the new video and decided that some early morning Ron would be nice
Another perfect recovery…….and an easy one! Stay safe.
Wouldn’t really like to lift the grasshopper they do have a tendency to fall over, it was fun watching someone else get a grasshopper out of a bog , we had one go down on 3 wheels with a full load of chemical on board we had a pair of John Deere 8850 tractors A framed together with a 10 metre straight bar back to the grasshopper and it took 2 hours to get it out no damage done , really enjoy watching you at work all the best from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺
I love how you give Ethan the option to do it a different way instead of telling him to do it your way. The way you guys work together is amazing great job guys! God Bless
well done training Ethan
Nice work Ron …
There has been a lot of rain all over I sunk my flatbed in my driveway last week backing in my yard.
i really like your videos you make Ron ✌
I love watching your videos. That is some nasty looking water they are in.
Nice quick job and hope your fingers recover soon.
i could be wrong, but i think this was filmed last year, i remember another video he had a finger injury. could be a new injury though
Had one of those spary my pasture Monday.
Thanks!
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Been using that drag winch a few times recently. I hadn't noticed it before.
Nominated for best title yet.
Must be nervous when dealing with something that top heavy. Stay Safe
If your swamper took his sunglasses off he could read the wireless controller screen.
hi ron hope your hand get better soon like watch your channel good job
Oh Deere! This will be fun!
Leak in the clay liner of the pond!
Very funny! Deere John caption!...🤣
I love the title
I will admit it took me a minute to get it
That road was meant for cars. Even the 1150R was so wide a car couldn't pass without going off the road.
Good job Ron.
Named that one perfectly
Ron, your slough is flowing over the top of a clay layer and then the water is absorbed by the stratified layers of sterile dry brown soil, then a layer of sandy soil on top of glacial till the size of corn grits up to pea gravel that sits above a layer of clay that is sealing the bottom of your dugout. The clay layer is thicker on the bottom sides of the dugout than the top sides of the dugout profile. When the water reaches a specific height, water will be absorbed into the surrounding area until it reaches the saturation point which elevates the water table in the immediate area surrounding the dugout. When the water table rises above the clay layer and then disappears into the loose, non-compacted soil of the till layer. The water tablé will balance itself out below the peak height reached in early spring when the top 4 feet of overburden is still mostly frozen. As the sub soil layers thaw out the top water drains away from the dugout so you will never likely see any top water or a shallow water table due to the layers loosely amalgamated soil(s) above the clay layer. Hope this helps.
Good day- Another good pull. To extract that without the boom assist would have been pretty challenging indeed. Have a good day.
You are verf patient Ron
Hi Ron, another great video. I was thinking another way you could have done it is to have the boom over to the right, creating a side pull to support/reduce risk of rolling whilst using the green drag winch to pull it out, would that have worked?
Ron, your title reminds me of a funny one. A tractor couple broke up, and she sent him a John Deere letter to let him know.
Through the power of prayer and God’s care and love. His presence is there touching you and healing your hand🙏
At least the Deere wasn't too en-trenched and didn't go 'turtle'. Hope the finger heals soon (unless it's an old injury). Greetings from the UK. God bless.
I like your idea best! 5:07 pm
Here we go, let's roll 🚜🚜🚜🚜
Great job glad you got him out .. what was with the other famer, he should know about the big machine can't go fast .
I always wanted to try and drive under one of those in my VW when I lived in Virginia.
I m wanting to do the same on a motorcycle. I wonder what the clearance is to get under that chassis.
Not enough. thats the clearance on those self propelled sprayers.
