- - - - Frequently Asked Questions - - - -
Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral. - Авто/Мото
Love the way you said want me to kick it LOL Hope you and your Family are staying safe great video
That is so cool that family got the tractor. That little boy was so excited. I am sure he will have fun riding on it with dad. I remember when my grandfather took me his tractor for the first time. God bless
You should be on the radio. Your voice is so soothing and comforting. Great job as always. I love how you take the time to keep your rig neat and put everything in its proper place, etc.
I never realized until today that you guys where out of the palm desert. I live in Connecticut and my aunt lives in Cali. And one of her houses is in a gated community in Palm Springs. You can stand on her back porch and see the Palm Springs arial Tram from her house. Also I have pictures from 2013 when I went there and was on the tram.
I lived on my grandpa's farm in northern California. I too was excited when we got a new tractor.
That guy ran up and started fiddling with the straps before you could even get out of the cab. You were nicer to him than many drivers would have been. Professional.
I was thinking the same thing. Some customers think they're "helping" but it usually makes it harder for us in the long run because, at least for me, there's a routine to doing everything
You taught me a new way to handle the loose ends on a rachet strap
Thanks.
Great video as always
Little kids are always excited to see new things. Great video as always!
im 20 too and im jealous of your career you chose
and that gmc canyon is the background is lookin fine
What a nice video Trent. I can see a lot of you in that kid, polite, respectful and mechanically inclined.A very pleasant end to my evenings viewing here in the UK.
Nice video, I like how neat you are, the way you fold your straps and everything has their own place. Keep it up, makes things a lot easier when you know where things are.
Thumbs up Trent, you definitely made that kids week. 👍
WOW!!!! YOU are 20 years old !?!?
Fan bloody-tastic mate! Well done sir!
I thought you were older and your dad just a young looking bloke !!
You keep your rigs so clean and well organised. My brother in law drives Prime Movers here in Oz and he keeps his rig so clean and organised that it looks like it comes of the show room!!.
These videos are so engaging that I dont mind watching them for an hour or so!!
Keep up the good work mate!!
I havent looked yet, but do you have a video that shows of the Fleet of tow trucks that your company has?
Cheers from Down Under !!!
Cool video Trent
Congrats on hitting 70K! Loved the video, keep up the great work!
Enjoyed the video
The man the myth the legend Trent.
I am sure those guys will be happy with there new tractor 🚜.
Great job
Always fun to get new equipment. And I bought a zero turn this Spring as well. I looked like a drunken landscaper for the first couple times I used it, til I got used to it. :-)
Teach a 14 year old had to drive one, I'm moving to a bigger house and I mow so I'll need to learn how to use one, any tips
Very efficient as usual.
Hi Trent beautiful tractor but I'm afraid my heart skips a beat for that freight shaker rollback your driving.I have been out of towing for 13years but every time I see a really beautiful wrecker or a flatbed I skip a beat just love tow trucks good video
Can’t get much closer to the headache rack than that lol 😂
congrats to the farming family!
Hello , I just subscribed to your channel, I am not in the towing industry but work in the auto auction business and have a tow driver on call all day in the lot for moving inop repoed cars and heavily wrecked cars , I like your professionalism and work ethic it is definitely catchy..lol..thanks for the videos and have a great day from Illinois
Thank you for sharing be safe out there ✌️👊
I guess you figured out by now there are up and down controls for the three point on that back fender about two inches from where your hand was resting.
Excellent job with the rollback Trent thanks could you please do a walkaround on the rollback god bless you Trent and keep up the good work
I had a 5105 for 14 years a great tractor. Only wish I would have got a cab on It.

Very good video! I love the rotator truck videos!
Didn’t know you could farm out in the desert like that
Sir Trent !! OKS !!!! Did you get your ""Angel Lite "" Off the back of that implement ???? Didn't see you reach for it when you unloaded ??? Anyhows,,great video & Glad the ''ol''man & Grandson where happy to see it !!! KEEP IT SAFE !!!
Haha! I'm not the only person that thought about that! I was watching for it when he was reversing the tractor off the bed. I didn't see it so I think he got it. :D
I grabbed it camera just didn't catch it. There is a point you can hear the "clunk" as i attach it back to my helmet. thank you for watching!
Another nice vid. You drove right past our Winter home in the RV park behind the Fantasy Springs Casino/Hotel. Will be looking for your trucks when we go back down in the fall. Cheers
thanks again for the nice video 👍👍
Why didn't you drop your airbags for a better load angle
Good job my friend
Good thing kids are still into tractors instead of dresses
I AM FROM SOUTHER WV THANKS FOR SHARING
Thank you
Hey Trent, did you get the little flashing light that you put on the plow implement that wasn't touching the bed
Nice!
Sweet you could deliver me one too ;-) but congrats on the new Disk .. okay for light soil but heavy clay? Hum? Think we need a bigger tractor... Great delivery job
When back on the farm as a kid new machines not exciting, just a new way to work, good job. Pull toy here.
De Nada👍👌Great Content
Did you just hit 70,000? If you didn’t Great job as always
i didn't know RDO was way out there too, it's based here where i live, founded by Ronald D Offut. he;s a big name in ag equipment around here
Did u ever get it light back off the back of the tractor
How many times when you first started did you walk around the back right into the stinger?
i would like to see the rotator and the 35 tons more!
sunday funday full send bro
Why do you do the ratchet straps the way you do? Only using 1 click of the ratchet mechanism before you reset
I'm guessing because that's where your leverage is best but just curious.
Did you leave your little light on the tractor?
Great Video, to bad its wasnt a case ih Tractor
Does the PTO power a hydraulic pump, and then the hydraulic pump operate pistons on the flatbed for articulation? Is the winch powered by the truck's electrical system, or by some kind of generator using the PTO as a prime mover?
Thanks.
Pto powers the pump that in turns operates the pistons which move the bed. The winch is all run off the pto on my flatbed truck
I would assume the winch is hydraulic as well.
I'm interested to hear how the truck handled that... We thought about those as truck options
The Freightliner M2 is a great truck, especially with the higher output Cummins. I much preferred them over the Internationals, as the visibility is so much better. Before International had the Cummins option They should be coming out here soon with a newer cab, as the current one is showing it's age. And International just recently released a newer version of theirs.
That 5115 seems small for 115hp, our 5085 sits way taller then that tractor.
Where is this RDO dealership located?
Am I the only person who noticed a wheel weight on the left rear tire and not one on the right?
great job excellent keep em coming
I can not find all the videos from y'all
Hard to believe that a non tow truck operate like myself nows how to operate a flatbed not everyday day that most 23 yr Olds know how to operate one
That tractor is nowhere near too big I have the KW same size and whatever and I've had a D5 cat and a Komatsu p c39 a 40 foot Genie straight boom also had a JLG 450 which is just like a z 45 articulating boom and it weighs 17600 and all with no problems but money in the bank
Do farmers in California not have truck and trailers or is it illegal to haul your own equipment
Every thing is illegal in California
Joe Samp I can guarantee not every farmer in the world is big enough to have their own truck and trailer.
Likely is a smaller farm or just starting out and might have been the first or 2nd piece of equipment
Joe Samp sometimes it’s cheaper to hire tow truck drivers to move equipment then it is to do it yourself
john deere probably prohibits that
It's not new judging by the rusted scrapes on the hubs.
Read The Title!
He meant new to him
Is this is lake elsinore
Did you happen to remember your halo on the back of the disk, didn’t see you get it.
I grabbed it camera just didn't catch it. There is a point you can hear the "clunk" as i attach it back to my helmet. thank you for watching!
Nice video! But I miss the vlogs...
Been so busy with calls have not been able to film vlogs. They will resume
Toolbox on all John Deere's Hmmmm.
I got first view first like and first comment
That tractor and implement barely fit on that rollback !!!!!
If it fits, it ships!
@@Coonass i roll the same way but only for a short distance. If its going over scales it goes on the big truck. Just some areas im not getting a 73ft long rig into.
btw im first
I thought that everything that have "wheels" should be fixed by chains. Isn't it? Just interersting.
the law requires you have half the weight of the load in WLL of tie downs. Straps or chains no specification. Thank you for watching!
The apparatus is called a (DISC/HARROW).
You are 20 years old the insurance is expensive or what comercial insurance is high
The implement is called a disc.
