My dad was a master carpenter. He passed away in 2017. I see the videos of you and your son and would give anything to have my dad just 1 more day.
And 1 day you will🙏🙏
Me too!!
I too would like to see dad again but do not relish the later date. The show “Young Sheldon” last episode clearly showed why.
That's the life cycle and why it's so important, if your life and family life is "normal", that it is in order. When the Lord calls one home you don't want regrets to follow. Many, many people only recognize their mistakes after it's too late, I know because I am one of them. No amount of wishing can make up for the mistakes I made. My cross to bear is heavy and I carry it every day.
I wish you could see your dad my friend.
I looked for my dad all my life only to find him in another country in a casket . I flew there and seen him for the first time and they last never saying one word to him.
I find as time passes and I continue as a loyal viewer of”Outdoors with the Morgan’s” your videos content has expanded to newer introductions of people with similar interests such as logging, firewood, sawmills, trucks, tractors, and your to the point commentary on public and political trends. Everything I’m into. Take care and God Bless. From your friends in Northern Vermont.
I agree about firewood poles being the most productive method of production. Even better if you obtain them through tree work you’ve been paid for!! We save all wood that’s deemed worthy from one year of our tree work. We stage it throughout the year as it comes in. Then we rent a Dyna SC-15 and work it all up in two to three days. This year we did approximately 40 cord in 2 and a half days. We have a skid loader to feed it, and an old corn elevator to assist in distributing the wood so we don’t have to move the processor. We keep the processor conveyor belt flat to pull out undesired pieces. I run it, my boss/partner feeds it, his dad sorts the off cuts and chaff with boss helping him between feeding rounds. Rental cost was $1100. Not worth mentioning the minimal fuel cost.
Good morning ya’ll … from the great state of Texas. Hope everyone has a blessed day. Got our chores done … animals fed , and about to drive up to our grand daughters farm for a crawfish boil and to shoot a little skeet with my son , son in law and three grandsons in law. We are having a party as my oldest grandson is home on leave . He’s in the Army and it’s been awhile since we’ve seen him.
Man that sounds like a GREaT day - happy for you
I've always been a music man and do music vids on my channel, but my second love has always been wood. I just enjoy watching how you've developed your land and your wood business. There's something that's peaceful about watching you split the firewood and cut the boards on the saw mill. I'd love to do both, but at my age that's not going to happen lol! So I get to enjoy it thru you. Thanks for the vids!
Agree on getting wood brought to you Mike. I used to go out into the back 40, fell the tree, limb and buck it. Then figure out how the heck to get the tractor to it to skid it out since my forest is super dense. It easily doubles the time to process a cord.
Now I’m blessed to have a connection with a local tree service right down the street so he brings me more wood than I know what to do with. Sometimes I have to tell him to stop for a few weeks so I can get caught up. It’s all very high quality too.
But it is still fun to go drop a tree every once in a while and skid it out.
The best part about buying your logs versus cutting down your own , you don't have to deal with or worry about the widowmakers .
Looking good! The equipment used to do the fencing is amazing. When I was a kid, we used …good old post hole digger’s. Those things kept you in shape, and toughened you up on the farm. Even if you put on gloves, you would still get blisters from a long day… until you got the calluses!
Good morning Morgan's from sunny Prince Edward Island Canada 🇨🇦. We are finally getting some warm weather and leaves on the trees. We cut the grass for the first time this year and now are setting up the deck for the summer.
Nice to see Levi in the last two videos!
I envy the availability of hardwoods for firewood. Living in the Mountains of Southern Colorado, we only have access to pine and aspen. Burns good but very fast. 2 wood stoves eat 2-3 cords each every season.
I have a niece & husband who have a saw mill about 100 miles away. I get 2.5 cords at a very good price. Much better than harvesting off my mountain.
Keep it up Mike and Crew
I envy your tractor skills, Mike Morgan, but I'll tell you what . . . My neighbor came over with his Kubota 57-4 excavator and pushed over about 20 trees on my future home build site. My MX5400 and brush grapple has been a godsend with the clean up. Thank you for showcasing that tractor in your videos. It has helped me immensely on my acreage, be it plowing snow, grading our access road and driveway, brush hogging, or brush and log cleanup. Thanks for all you do to educate us woodsy folks! Question, is the key to burning stumps just to keep adding leaf/needle laden brush on top of it? I am having a heck of a time burning all my stumps.
That Levi got his dad's working genes. The new gate cuts all the sketchy road section you always had to travel out. Very good move.
I would like to hear you and Levi both talking sometime about the business.
I think it would help whoever is splitting the wood if you could find a big steel table to stack the rounds on with the excavator. No more bending over would be nice for everyone. Get a big one that can hold about 20 or 30 of them at a time.
Mike you talk about wood the way most guys talk about woman,,,”That’s such nice stuff, just beautiful” talking about the newly cut red oak. 😊
Mike I was inspired by you to get the WB rake with my KX057-5 in March of this year, but I got it paired with a WB thumb and D-Lock coupler. I’ve not had any issues with the pairing. I’ve also found the rake to be REALLY useful. Thanks for steering me in the right direction.
I also bought a WB rake because of Mike. I wonder how many WB sold because of Mikes video. I bought mine for a Yanmar SV100. It’s awesome. I’ve pulled out probably 200 stumps with it. So awesome and so much fun.
Remembering the fire wood processor with the conveyor for feeding rounds, have you considered loading the rounds into your dump trailer, perhaps with a stop bar across the opening, and raising to feed rounds to splitter? Reduces walking to get the rounds and how high you"d have to lift them. Part of the work smarter program.
Mike and Melissa, Thank you both for the entertaining video. Both You and the Fencing Crew did an excellent job setting the posts and cementing them in preparation of the installation of the 18 ft gate. Levi does a fantastic job on splitting and ranking up the rounds of firewood. I can see your practicality and approach to purchasing the firewood and lumber poles versus harvesting the majority of the trees yourself. With the time and effort and costs . It would possibly balance the deal out or end up more economical in the long run. This plan would definitely increase firewood and lumber production for sure.
You really need a block feeder that you can load the cut rounds onto and it feeds the rounds to the person at the splitter I believe it will save a lot of bending over and back breaking work just drop the rounds (blocks) directly on the live deck
Just wondering if Melissa still wants a swimming pool? Have a great Day Morgan's!
We have had 5 Goldens over the years and had the same problem of them rolling in grass, mud and scat. Though we never used them to hunt, a hunter told us, if our dogs were from hunting stock the dogs by instinct to it to hid their scent.
Looking good Mike. Yes, it look a lot more open there at the gate. Take down the other big tree there and it will open up even more. Nice straight shot out to the clearing. You really do have a lot on your plate! Good for us. You're really getting ahead in your firewood business. Once there, jyst stay there and you'll not have to turn any customers away. It's a real chore to take the dogs out. Every adventure ends w bath time!! They do love the mud!! Thanks, Mike. Another great video.👍🚜❤🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
Good morning to the Morgan community from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Have a great weekend everyone.
Good morning y'all !!! Happy Saturday and hello from British Columbia, Go Canucks Go !!!

@@curtismagas9343 Ha! It's been very exciting hockey to watch that's for sure! Enjoy your day !!!
Good morning Morgan's from BUCKS COUNTY pa. Another fine job done Mike. Have a day people.
Unbelievable!! Well done guys. The hull looks beautiful
hey Mike.. we enjoy your channel ... had an oak tree put on the ground the other day.... it was 20' long 18'" diameter on one end, 12" diameter on the other end. Picked it up with my 9600 lb yanmar Vio 40 as well as my 10600 lb Takeuchi 140 with grapple. Of course, that's about all either one wanted to do. Could not operate either one full range. I was impressed, nonetheless. You might entertain trading your larger machines for a little smaller ones that you can trailer on the road. I've said it before and ill say it again.... i run my excavator full throttle when im working. Allows better cooling of the hydraulics, less stress on the pump etc. Don't curl your attachment against the thumb, might be why you are getting that notch you ground down. Curling against the thumb you will have a very bad day. MAGA
Nice job Mike.
It’s funny how the small branches are actually harder to clean up than the bigger logs.
I have that rake on my KX040 and haven't experienced the lockup issue. I probably only have 20 hours on it, so maybe I just haven't seen it yet, but thanks for the tip on the simple fix. As a couple of other commenters have noted, I also first saw the WB rake on your channel. They should probably pay you a sales commission 🙂
The weather, or should I say, the forecasting has been frustrating.
I like coming here. I can freely comment and not get jumped by the trolls. Nice Red Oak firewood.
Great video Mike... The previous video where I commented on your heavy breathing was meant as a compliment not a critique, ' you weren't watching the grass grow '... You are pretty consistant on setting this example & in closing I don't read others comments B4 I leave a comment, this way my opinion doesn't get altered in any way, I have always been consistant on this...
Keep 'em coming,
Bill, from the BLUE state of Vermont...
I actually thought you had left in that heavy breathing in response to all the people saying you never do any physical work and we’re getting lazy
I usually turn down the volume on Clips that catch me breathing, but that can be tedious if you’re also talking in that part of the video. You do a great job with those types of things.
Good Morning Morgan Family 🌞- Have a Fantastic and Blessed Day🤠
Good morning folks, hope everyone has a GR8 weekend. Go Oilers
Good video. Yall have a lot going on at camp morgan. Have a great weekend and stay safe everybody
Mike great to hear it was a recording mishap and not your health can’t have my favorite you tuber go down it would be devastating
Pollen was badddd here in GA, it slacked off then the cicadas "hatched out" and all their buzzing created another dust bowl and it would make you hack. Oh well I've lived through them several times before and the good Lord willing I will make it thru this one. Morgans have a blessed weekend! John Toccoa GA
You have cicadas in Toccoa right now? Or earlier this year? I’m in Jackson county and haven’t seen a single one
@@jeffroberts760 Hi Jeff, yep they started some two weeks ago I'm near S Carolina border and the Cicadas have been buzzing loudly think they peaked last Monday, starting to die down now as we find them all over the yard, South side and City hasn't had much yet but they will, they run in waves starting up about 5 am north of me and come all the way around settling around 9 pm this is the red eyed bugs (good fish bait size) the larger green eyed ones have not emerged yet probably late June or first of July
Weather about the same in here in Upstate NY. Standing water on lawns and fields.
Good/Glad to hear things are ok with your health! Thx for bringing us along. 😊😊😊 John Ken
Mike, another great video. It’s great to see you working in the Woodyard & around the house. Dave D. from Maine.
Good morning, Morgans, from North Central Oklahoma!
Hi Mike, You need to plant that field up by the little cabin in time for deer season with some good deer crops.
Looking forward to the cabin build out.
Good morning, Mike and family. I know what you mean about the pollen thing. I live in Oregon, and everything is green with pollen. Our pond looks like you could walk across it it is so covered in pollen.
I take it you extended the rental time on your Avant. That 1 week is really crawling along.
If you use the box blade to clear the grass off, do you use the blade then to put the ditch line in, BEFORE you put the gravel down, or after? I know you need to have a crown on the road. Just dont know WHEN. I think you did it after the stone in one of your previous video's God bless and thanks for sharing.
Looking really nice Mike, everything is falling into place. I am looking forward the the arrival of the Kiln, should be coming fairly soon i think. Also the near future West Virginia Cabin trip, that is just a breath taking serene place. :) Thanks for bringing us along. :) 🙏
Mike, you do have interesting music that I really enjoy !
Good morning hope your day goes well. Really enjoy your videos
I noticed the breathing "issue" in that video and thought I've never heard him breathing like that before, I figured it must be a "technical issue". Glad it was! We usually work around the weather here in North Idaho as well. Like the new gate setup, looking good!
You know, Mike; I think you should have somewhat of a permanent burn pile for all the brush and cutoffs you seem to always have. Just have an area like what you have used before but just use it again and again. Perhaps you are already doing this, but I just thought I would offer the idea.
I live in North Port, Fla I think it has really rained twice this year. All yards are brown and the temp is in the 90's. Come on down.
Good morning to all and the Morgan family!
We have Bug city in northern Wisconsin, right now.
Have you seen any videos from C&C Equipment? In one of his video's ( Lot, warehouse and shop update with Jay and Scott with prices and answers April 2024 ) he shows a BaumaLight mini skid he is also a dealer for some skid steer firewood processors. Located in southern Indiana. In LoggerWades's and Dirtperfect's neck of the woods. Might be right up your alley?
Breaks my heart to see all that beautiful stone covered in sawdust. 😉 Time for a concrete pad!
I love kubota power. Toy's that make work fun.
😁I wish I could be there with you cutting rounds and splitting firewood with you. It is a lot different than when my Dad and I cut and split with a two-man crosscut saw 60-70 years ago. By the way Mike, when are you going to build the shed over your fuel tank?😁
That was a great video. Very entertaining. I feel like I have gotten a lot of work done for some odd reason. It just looks like so much fun running the different machines.
Good to see Melissa, Hunter and Levi in the video
Nice the way you use a standing tree to break a long on e that you are carrying . Looks like the gate will look nice . Seeya
My wife of 56 years will not watch your videos without Milessa. She's the backbone of your videos. Love you both. More Melissa
Make sure you get your steps in! Lol! That dandy digger is a slick little unit! Great stuff Mike!
Pollen has been extremely high in kentucky also mike
Great idea for keeping your blade stable while sharpening. I pretty much always had to go back to the shop and use the vice but not any more. Thanks Mike.
Happy Saturday morning to an amazing community!😀👍💪🙏🇺🇲
I think you need to do a moisturize test on that Oak you say won’t be ready by winter Test it now and then again December 1st. I cut oak and Hickory and maple in the Spring all ready done cutting now and it is ready to burn by December here in Ohio.
What percent moisture do you get if you season oak for less than a year?
I like your channel and watch it a lot keep up the good work
I think you should keep all the both Kabota s I think you run your equipment very good and Efficient I enjoy watching you
I love that you and your son work together. It’s a beautiful thing.
Good morning from Arizona!
Mike, another excellent piece of work and video sounded like 👍 Melissa didn’t really have a great time with the dogs on the trail but she was able to make it through it though 😮😊❤
Love the video AND KEEP YOUR TOY MAN .
Levi sure makes some beautiful firewood stacks in the woodshed. Many dogs love rolling around in mud, dirt and dead animals. It is doggie perfume.
Levi is just a working machine. You are lucky to have him ! Omg is poor back !!!
Wondering what you do with all the empty D E F containers? I'm in Erie, Pa.
Make containers for the pizza wood ovens or the small Solo stoves, just about the right size containers!
i would think if you put the big stump on the bottom and the branches on top of them the stumps would burn better and longer all the hot coals would be on top of the stumps but i have never done this it's just a question dave from ct
I'm glad you're ok and it's just the microphone picking up and amplified your breathing ....I made a comment that you need to get checked ....we are not as young as we think ...Be Safe and God Bless
Good morning Morgan's from a stormy Gulf Coast ! I tell you what ,Levi is a hard worker! When I was young ,I could do that. These days it 's work smart not hard ,well I am working on that !!!
It's raining down here.
Did hear that didn't think anything of it we got the pollen 2 glad ur ok lol 😊
It was great seeing Hunter and Livi again You have some great sons. Take care now and be safe.
Good stuff guys ! Have you ever thought about making a huge table to put your rounds on. Mabe use your machines to move it. Just a guy with a bad back. Great show
Wow, Mike, you are a busy man.
Same here green powder all over the place. Aaachoo
We’re right there with you on the pollen in Southern Ohio. Everything that doesn’t move is turning yellow. 🤧🤧🤧
Thanks for another great video.👍🏼
Excellent content as usual. And you didnt even breathe hard. Let us know if anyone complains that the sparks from the grinder would set the leaves on fire....
Hey Mike, I enjoy your videos. I have watched all of your shows at least once, sometimes twice.
Glad you are okay.
How have the deer ticks been there this spring? It seems they are worse here in northern IL this spring.
I noticed the breathing sound, did not say anything. Glad your OK.
My dog use to do that and he would always find the smelliest mud. Supposedly its to hide their sent from predators.
Just yanked a tick off my neck
@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans
I dug one out of my arm the other out day after cutting and splitting wood in my woods.
Was only out about 4 hours and he was dug in right on top of a vein. I think he had a mini excavator like yours 😂 Just like a politician after our blood/tax polly =many ticks this year.
Mike I have been watching your videos from the start of your channel I don't comment often because what would I say ... Your doing a great job and you have a wonderful family that includes the Dogs .... I just want to say keep doing YOU and thank you for all the enjoyable content

Greg from northern Michigan. I am sure you know that modifying your equipment voids it's warranty 😂 An experienced operator knows his machine ! Good Mod, Well Done !
I thought i heard what sounded like you being out of breath from heart trouble too, Mike. I know that sound too well. Glad you are ok.
Mike.. Curious is All, the Intro Triggered my Query.. How long do You go Sharpening and all before Having to replace the Chain.. ??
