Wow. You made this look really simple, which I believe is a clear sign of true talent. Thanks for sharing this with us, and have a wonderful Holiday!
Thanks so much 😊
Absolutely brilliant, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skill Isabel, this video has really helped me learn some techniques I’ve been struggling with! Thank you 🙏🏻

great tutorial ... @ 4:23 'change this to this'? whats happening off screen? i cant get my outline to dissapeer?
Thanks! Sorry, you'll need to be more specific, cause I can't see anything related to an outline at minute 4:23
Another helpful tutorial, thanks! Just a tip though- duplicate is ctrl/cmmd J which is equivalent to ctrl/cmmd C+V. Can you please do a tutorial on how to trace a complex object with the pen tool and then modify the nodes using the node tool so that the changes are symmetrical and equal on both sides.
I'm a newbie and I find it pretty difficult because I'll use the node tool to modify/transform one side of the object but not able to replicate it to be exactly the same on the other side!
Hi Pixelles! Thanks for the tip, and fear not, next time I will forget again to use it 🤣🤣🤣 - Too many years using the standard Ctrl/Cmd C+V. Been told several times by others but I start to suspect it is something my brain rejects to remember haha. Anyways, yes I can do that video for you here on RUclips. Just so you know I cover that too on my follow up Skillshare class on the pen tool in case you are a subscriber or want to become one. Merry Christmas and thanks for your contribution! skl.sh/2z0INle
This was a really fun video to watch. Can I ask why you don't use gradients to fill in?
Thanks Michelle. Well I do sometimes but for this style I tend to go for shapes to create volume. It's a quite flat and bold colour illustration, so to keep it like in this style, this is more the way I choose to work. Thanks for the comment btw. Kiss.
On the glass, when I enter 75% on one corner, I can't enter 75%... If I enter less than 75%, I can make the other corner bigger than 25%. Not sure how you are doing 75% on both.
I think that's a bug.. once she clicks the other corners (07:55) they both change to 50%. And that you can do.
Hi Takeshi. Following the steps in the same order I did should allow you to get it. Changing the order and the way you decide to create your corners, might change the output though. To see what I mean, if you trace a rounded rectangle and enter 0% by hand on both top corners, you will be able to also input 75% for the bottom ones and that'll be it. But if you start by entering 75% on the bottom corners and finish entering 0% on the top ones, it will adjust the 75% value down to 50%. But the shape will be the same. Try this I say and then put them overlapping one another and you'll see they are exactly the same. It's a bit confusing.
Thank you
