A trick I have taught myself is each time you have a negative thought or say something negative, stop...right then and say something positive. Example: I really don't like the amount of Chris's meetings...but...I do like how it makes him happy. It works, you will find yourself automatically stopping the negative thoughts in time.

Your unpolished emotions are much appreciated.
    Some unsolicited advice,
Keep it that way. Authentic content,
and more of it, keeps most folks
    coming back.

Having an argument is not only natural, it is necessary! Y'all are inspired by each other and play well off the other! I believe that y'all are simply real and folks on here think that you two are not to argue. My husband and I have 24 years between us! Trust me, it is exactly the same for us running a realty company together!! Stay in love and talk it out! Y'all are worth it as a team!!!

You two are so cute because you are so honest with us. Recognizing that the age gap is an issue for others and that just being in a relationship is where the issues come from. "The hardest thing" made me laugh and is so typical of the two of you. Communication is so key and failure to do it effectively is a problem for all of us. Watching your videos is therapeutic because it makes us realize that our relationship issues aren't unique. So much love going to you from North of the 49th. I posted this before the end of the video and have to say that I agree that there isn't one true love. That thought is depressing. Recognizing that there are plenty of matches for all of us but what makes them "the one" is the amount of work you put into showing that person how much you love them.

One thing you could try is what me and my ex use to do when we managed and lived at a hotel is this..... we would take 1 day a week or every other week and have it off to ourselves and not together so that way it breaks up the "stuck" together all the time issue that can cause issues sometimes. Sometimes even for that day off the one would stay somewhere else for the day/night to relax. Dont worry were not exes cause of the hotel or anything... it was due to him having a drinking problem and not getting help but heard that he is doing better and finally got some help. Giant huggs boys !!

I mentioned in one of your videos months back that the biggest difference in an age gap relationship that really can cause tension between partners is the dreaded waining libido ... Any relationship requires compromise. I truly hope you two are together for a long time to come as you are genuinely beautiful together even with life’s challenges. LY( b)LT

You call that a fight? You guys are sweeter and nicer to each other than most couples I've known. I hope you're able to get your smaller house someday, but often rough times financially can strengthen a couple's bond, and getting money frequently doesn't seem to have the effect (affect?) most people hope for. Chris is a doll and Russ (Dylan) is a hunk. From what I've seen in your videos, I don't think that either of you could find a better match, and I feel, strongly, that you gentlemen would be able to have a fine relationship in virtually any circumstances.

  • @lesliematthewcoleman
    @lesliematthewcoleman 9 месяцев назад

dear chris and russ, i've just suscribed to receiving your updates. a while back( six years ago ) i came across your videos. at that time i liked what i saw. but because i hadn't then subscribed you went off my radar. now that you are back i'm very happy to see that you boys are still working on making your relationship work. i wholeheartedly wish you all the best in the next twelve years and more. russ, i did enjoy your pepper eating trials. if ever the opportunity presents itself i will think of you and take the plunge. i love peppers, but do i have the guts to take it to the level you did. i don't think so. such bravery i don't think i can muster. as for you chris, i can sympathize with you having russ as a partner. such energy at our age can be exhausting. keep on loving each each other, express it and remember that if you are passionate about life you will never retire. artists never retire they grow old and then die. i think of you two as artists.

I think you guys are living life. Life is not easy 1. Being gay. 2. Owning a business. 3. Financial issues. 4. Trying to make time for each other.
Solution, and I tried it and it work. But it was to late as we had already grown apart.
So, find a time when work should be over. Then meet in the kitchen. Decide what to make for dinner and just be together. Dont bring business home even though you live where you work
Talk about plants talk about gym. Talk about when you guys 1st met and what click when your eyes met.
I'm 52 now ex 36...so I made the decision to be with a younger man. So being the older and mature and had lived life longer it was up to me to keep things in the relationship fresh and new. Because hell lets face it. I looked at my goodlookibg partner and he could be with anyone else that would give him the time of day. Or shower him with everything his heart desires. But he choose to be with me. I lost him because I got comfortable and took him for granted.
I like the both of you a lot and I want to see the both of you go really far together.
    Ok...I'm done blabbering.
    Lol
    Love u guys...
    Joe

Chris is so cute. He has years of more life experience and is very patient in these vlogs. Russ seems to over analyzing each action and reaction. All couples go through daily struggles- boring daily s**t. Always remember to come back and love on each other. None of it matters in the end.

I know this before with my partner (30 years together & five years married) of this conversation was kind like we had before.... it means your love is growing strong and it shows both of you are in love... never give up... no matter "good or bad" both of you too. In other words, we will always need more communication to understand better what we love each other. After when it over with the fights we had and resolve the problem will go away on. Move forward our relationship strong and keeping more love surprises. Be kind to each other. Love is a mystery and will be a full surprise later. I love both of you, buddy.
PS: Myself, I'm 9 years younger different than my husband's age. Age doesn't matter to me. We will grow older together in life and wiser. I don't look for age in a way. But I am looking for a love and support relationship than an aging period.

Great video, guys. I have been in an age gap relationship for 29 years now. Our libidos are quite different as well, but I, too, get kisses in the morning and that helps. We are lucky in that we are both retired now and are able to spend more time together, as on our daily walks, but we still need our space and alone time. Hang in there!! You are a handsome and fun couple to watch and listen to. Much happiness to you.

You have mentioned having spiritual pursuits rather than religious ones - which can offer alternative ways of seeing life and its problems. A higher perspective lessens the importance of petty differences, and eases up on judgments and grievances. You both communicate so well and are attuned to each other's sensibilities. May your relationship thrive!

My wife and I often have the same problem about not agreeing on the meaning or definition of a word or phrase because we grew up very differently and are 8 years apart in age. But we love each other very much. Relationships take work for sure. I work night shift and my wife works day shift so I totally get what yall are saying about the mind being fried and not much being left for the other person. When I'm full of energy, my wife is tired and vice versa cuz of working opposite shifts. So we try to make sure we have the same days off a couple times a month.

It’s not the relationship that gets in the way. It’s how you adapt together. Never drive away dude. Always choose to stay and communicate....stay. Walk right straight through it. Together. Interesting. I think it varies significantly from person to person almost more than because one man is older. I also think that some people have a bigger need/desire and even capacity for physical and sexual intimacy. Some folks are less motivated by that intimate connection and physical closeness. My comments are based on a long-term relationship I had. We were of similar age, but we were QUITE different. So it can be the difference between people and their "wiring" so to speak.

He was 30, I was 78 (last year). I look 50 because I’m not wrinkled and I dye my hair and beard (at his request). We lasted 5.5 years. We are both bi but he has a preference for women while I’m the opposite. I could never get him on bipolar meds so I could understand his silent angry spells better. When he left, it felt like I got hit by lightning twice. After a year I finally got over the trauma of unrequited love, but then he called last week because his lady has a widowed mom who wants to go dancing and I’d be a perfect fit. I said no thanx, baby boy, but I’d be too close to you again, and I don’t like lightning.

Always enjoy your channel. Wish they were more frequent. I think you may have Burn-out. Communication and feeling heard and validated always works for me. Hope you guys get a break from the BnB.
Do you watch Matt and Eric on RUclips? Another great couple gay men look up too.
    Much Love Rick
