@@gerrysanterre6317 still the fastest 1500 guy in the world though and wins races left right and centre. Just needs the right tactics. He knows what he’s doing.
@@kd-wk8nd His tactics weren’t bad. He did not have a 1500 kick, as he was also building for the 5k. In that scenario, you have to go early and hope you stay away…
@@st14sure, it is easy to say tactics were bad in hindsight if they don’t work out. He obviously felt he had a shot at front running a WR, made for an interesting race. But very bold, I’ll be surprised if he front runs so early again, even from 800m or 1 Km to go might have left him strong at the end.
Jakob is 23 years old and is a two-time Olympic Champ and a father. I'm nearly twice his age and can barely get out of bed! (Or maybe that's why I can barely get out of bed).
He just needs to learn it's impossible to win a major championship 1500m from the front. Then he'll suddenly have about 50% chance of winning, instead of zero with his current tactic.
@@simont6439if Jakob wins a tactical race he basically has a 95% chance of winning. Also he ran a European record like three weeks before the Olympics. Btw the time he ran would have won the Olympics.
Most stupid and weird questions I ever heard. To me, it looks like they didn't have enough journalists, and they asked people who were passing Olympic Stadium from the street, Would you ask a few questions?
@@bryangarcia6623 You have to watch the press conference, mate. I can't spoil it. But until how disappears, and why would they do appear? Jacob gives boring answers, which sound studied. All this talk about each single not-win in his career haunting him for the rest of his life sounds like a flex. Clearly, building for the 5k he did not have a 1500m kick and got outkicked. He can probably beat all these guys in 1500 if he focuses on a single event.
Awful reporting with the opening questions. You DONT say ‘congrats to an Olympic champion..!! The word is ‘CONGRATULATIONS’..!! How she can be a modern journalist is beyond me.!! Awful, lazy and disrespectful journalism!! Shame on her for such pathetic wording and lack of enthusiasm and communication!! ‘CONGRATULATIONS TO JAKOB’..!! Wonderful response and performance!!
Legend!
He is built for the 5000 and 10000.But don't count him out in the 1500 in the future.

It's weird, they never really answer the questions. In most of these.

Very odd answer on that first question

if jakob can't win the 1500 metres anymore he should focus more on the longer distances, doesn't mean he can't run amazing 1500m times in the future.
What do you mean he can’t win the 1500 “anymore” he is only 24 and still has lots of speed

You don’t know very much about track.
Jakob can win but he ran the first half too fast…ran out of gas
