I hated Capcom from doing that, I have a feeling that they will nerf her HK lightning kick while I notice barely anyone uses her Spinning Bird Kick anymore, but in fact they should buff Bird Kick but not nerf an already fixed move. Now they made HK Lightning Kick looks off as hell, I'd say give Bird Kick the air juggle combo property is much more practical as people would find more way to tool with it, then it'll be more usage.
the reason people don't use the spinning bird kick combo that often is, because it''s harder to execute. Giving spinning bird kick the juggle property is a interesting solution, and it would make for some awesome combos.
the potential dmg loss for unable to oki on HK legs is a bigger issue i think, as it was easy to move and snipe a down mk + hk legs then oki before, was also good for punishing some quick whiffs and not have to worry about charge
This has been really well condensed for a beginner like myself. Ive had a weird relationship with street fighter. I watch the esports, even buy statues but find the game so hard to approach.
To enjoy a fighting game without worrying you have to be ok with losing. For me it's always about how fun the character is and the gameplay in general.
i recomend watching this ruclips.net/p/PL64Jxh4-zRo0wtzHR77gBOfGIM5dVK5UT is a very simple way to approach fighting games, and is crazy how far you can go starting with little and slowly adding more stuff to your repertoire. and he did it for other characters as well
For this game focus on the basics first then build upon that. cLK>cLP or cLP>cLP(for some characters such as Karin) into a special move will be your go to combo, and defending against your opponent with far range normals is what you need to focus on first. When it’s comes to movement you want to determine when you should strike or defend based on how your opponent is moving. The best way to tell when to attack is through experience. You will lose. That is OK! That’ll teach you not to make the same mistakes twice and better moves as you go on. But the number one beginner mistake for every fighting game is trying to jump in every time on your opponent, and trying to do your “long combo”. 🚨 this will get you frustrated and annoyed asking yourself “why do I keep losing”; this is the one of the main reasons why. Ground movement, spacing, basic combos, and shimming is you best friend for this game. Remember this and you’ll be fine!
the dmg potential of that anti air is great, in my opinion will do nothin because her vt1 time is so fast, people will just wait it out, they would be scared to be anti aired for a very short time only.
I wish they made hazanshu an overhead as it should be

been trying to use spinning bird kick in fights but executing outside of trainning or arcade seems to be difficult for me

yes, that's true but atleast you can get oki from the ex version.
Thank you for this man

Try to enjoy the game with some entry mechanics first
Then try to approach the frame data thingy, cuz it's essential to understand the frame in SFV

Maybe Chung li players can save vt activation for anti air?
another difficult year for CHUN-li~so sad
the combo at 5:23 is a basic combo? you say? dude that is not basic lol that's hard to accomplish and I'm a basic Chun li player
There’s one way to play chun li seriously: vs1 vt2. Every matchup. Dont waste your time with hazanshu.
