Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you.
What sweet days these were. My dear mother was only 10yrs. old when this was showing in theatres, and as I grew up in the 50s, I recall her elders who were early Texan settlers, with small farms and "Farmall" tractors. I sure miss those days of innocence.
@36:40~ sounds very much like a biden speech!
My grandparents had just started courting in 1932. My parents weren't born until 1936 and 1937. I loved spending time with both of my grandmothers. One was from an old, hallowed American family currently in Texas and the other from Boston, the daughter of an Irish "gypsy" and a young English girl from Kent. I mean she was YOUNG! Only 17 when she married my Irish great-grandfather, who was 40 by then and had traveled the world on merchant ships, building a railroad here, a dam there. The Spanish Flu killed him in 1918. My grandmother remembered how awful those days were. She lost her father, her sister and her baby brother to the Flu. Anyway, she'd tell me about courting my grandfather. They were quite a pair! Had tough luck as kids but worked hard, saved string and made a good life for themselves and my mother. Innocent days. Sigh. Cheers!
I'm not sure how "innocent" those days were. Not very in my opinion.
@@allenwatkins4972 I'm sure she means the culture was more innocent. People had manners, chivalry, and respect. There's always exceptions to these generalizations, but they weren't the rule.
Take time to read Frank Fay's bio. Somewhat of a real life tragedy. Enjoyed the movie. Thanks PF
I love these old movies. Back when the whole family could watch them.❤❤
My uncle Frank Fay in one of the few remaining movies in which he starred. Thank you for posting!

How many pictures did Uncle Frank appear in? I really enjoyed this film!
He was simply an incredible actor!
And you know whats funny his looks have an uncanny resemblance to Bradley Cooper
Good one didn't expect that ending thanks
The first time the opening credits rolled I didn't notice the original story is by Frank Fay.
Very cute! Thank you!
bouta watch this tonight
Thx for the great movie. We are all Americans, be proud of our country or move elsewhere. Bring back this style of community. Get rid of crooked politicians running our country in the present.
A good ole fashioned story with some good ole fashioned advise!
Basically I found this to be a sad story.
Malka Ringel good ! But sad!

Hey Pizza, I just realized something. The language differences between the 1930's and 1950s on titles and credits. I suspect you are well aware of details. Thanks for your work.
Hi Mike 🍕Television wasn’t around in 1932. This print comes from a collection of films reissued in the 195Os by a company called “Motion Pictures for Television.” 🍕

It's people like him that end up commiting suicide and nobody who knew him could understand why.

Earmark to watch later
At 39:20. Does the guy have alzheimer disease???
Frank Fay is very creepy. He was supposed to be a miserable man off the screen. This film isn't funny, it's just depressing.
👍☺
Is the one with the funny hat the comedian?
Not funny at all, kind of sad and empty ... Do yourself a favor ... PASS !!
Is that librarachi
