King Oscar winning
My favorite every day sardines are King Oscar, Brunswick, and Polar. My date night sardines are Nuri and Bela.
Brisling Brunswick sardines + Fire-roasted tomato Triscuits = glory.
I've eaten both brislings and regular sardines. The brislings are tender to the point of mushiness. To me, the texture is more fatty.
I enjoy both, but prefer standard sardines which are much less pricy and have a more lean, meaty texture.
I love them in Louisianna Hot Sauce.
I have been eating my sardines with spicy chili crisp on ritz crackers. Real good.
Without cleansing your palate, you allow the previous ones to influence the flavor of the next one you try. King Oscar influenced the next, and so on. Not a good test, imho, but you know what you're looking for.
A tip: get a plastic cup, open a corner of the can, rest the can so that the oil can drain out of the can into the cup, then remove the rest of the can cover.
Good tip 👍🏽
Thunderbird Serrano pepper hot sauce and King Oscar brisling in virgin OI is my fav. Enhances the good flavor and reduces the fishy notes.
The King Oscar mediterranean style is my favorite.
This guy is gonna eat 4 cans of sardines.
The flavor difference is the type of smoke
Thank you it was very informative.
Interesting and semi-comical. Thank you.
Smaller sardines tasted better than bigger sardines. That's why, I always preferred Norway products, especially Brisling 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤. My father used to sell Norway canned brisling Sardine in 1960-1975, but is hardly available now. Mostly other brands.
Were they smaller than these?
@@MrLanternland brisling or sprat are small. Nice
Brislings is all I eat. I got the wild planet like here in the video. All of the fish had huge cocks and balls. Disgusting.
I like mine with Good Seasons Italian dressing.
add pepper, a squeeze of lemon and tabasco hot sauce and you have a lovely snack or meal. Also, bring some brown or wild rice along to complete it.
you are spot on i add lemon pepper seasoning to my sardines they are out of the park a hit.
How about you bring that and I’ll bring the gallon jug of pee.
I have tried King Oscar but my favorite is Porthos in spicy tomato sauce with some cayenne and salt
i love them with rice
Yes, and sauteed onions and garlic.
I love sardines
add lemon pepper seasoning there great
Sprats vs Pilchards
My son Spratt Brisling. Hated sardines. It’s like he has something personal against the fish.
I wasn't aware that any sardines were farm raised.
I have been eating Sardines for 50 years and I like the King Oscar in Olive oils, But when I can, I get the Portuguese.
Portuguese every time for flavour.
when p[eole test or taste Oilive oil, to get a good feel for the difference ,they take water with alittle lemon and clean the mouth before tasting another, better testing, bettter feel for difference, just a thought.
Those big basic deenz come in lemon flavored olive oil. Its superior, by my taste, to those regular ones. Pickled jalapenos with the lemon olive oil packed deenz gets the job done. I stopped buying the big'nes all together. I had no idea "sardine" wasn't a species of fish but a small harring.
Good excuse to eat 4 tins. I approve.
King Oscar are readily available in rural Australia, the other are not.
Dammit, you made me hungry! Now I have to run to the store for sardines.
Only get beach cliff. They’re nasty but you seem like you would like them.
@oldironsides4107 lol why
In my very limited experience, i do find the smaller ones to be far more appealing
thank you for a great video on my favorite sea food in a can- sardines and tuna
Great video but the oil spilling in this video was driving me nuts LOL especially when you showed us the Wild Planet sardines!
Weird to see a fork in your hand, the chopsticks definitely make me happy. Love the videos, keep it up!
I was so excited to get the Brunswick, thought it had to be good because of the high cost at my store and what a let-down it was, fancy see through package and all. But now I know not to get them again, I will stick with the King.
King Oscar with hot sauce or jalapeno are the bomb
Catfish love them !
Great video!
Kim Oscar are too damn fishy imo
Good old yellow mustard for me on a ritz.
It would have been higher class if you had eaten them with chopsticks. Missed opporunity
Good analysis. This seems to be consistent with my experiences with these products too.
It's telling that the king can is the only one half full at the end of the video.
The b.h don't appear to say smoked, while k.o and c.p are definitely wood smoked, so the fresh comment might have to do with them not being smoked and just blanched
Try polar if you are into smoked
It's "bah habah"
Makes me want a sardine & peanut butter sammich on super fresh white bread with red onion.
Don't forget the Frank's Red Hot Sauce.
Neither are good I get mine imported from Portugal or spain
I would buy the bay harbor If they weren’t from Latvian Baltic Sea
Genuinely curious, what is wrong with the Latvian Baltic Sea? Is it polluted?
did you find out anything on this?@@AlanSanchez-ww9qb
Y y y y Y y y o y
King Oscar in (extra virgin olive oil) the Brislings brand are in (soy bean oil) 🤮
I cannot abide you any further.
Brisling sardines suck. Might be the only animal where the older bigger ones are actually better.
This looks like a copy cat video... e.i. Canned Fish Files w/
Nothing alike. You think he’s the first guy to eat and review sardines?
Horrible waste of time review.
Bah Hahbah!
It's not your imagination the Round can of sardines are better tasting.
Brisling taste better than crown prince & wild planet.
