    So true for me. Everything is chance and coincidence - good or bad. The universe doesn’t care that much about you.

    Wonderful, insightful talk. I've got my own mantra - culled from my own journey - Life is hard and unfair. Once you accept that and stop struggling to make it work differently, you can focus on the good parts. And there are lots of them. Give them your energy - not the hard, unfair bits.

    Amy's candid, personal honesty is welcome in the crazy world in which we live. It is our responsibility to move through our lives with strength and embracing the present.

    I used to think that about everything...what a cop out! You are right, we need to just allow ourselves to acknowledge things are hard and work through it. Great talk.

    we are constantly bombarded by this happy Hollywood ending for all of our struggles. The truth is that there are only problems, incidents and struggles to overcome so that we may grow spiritually and learn life lessons to make us a more complete person. I also was a victim of this "happy ending" expectation my whole life. I shifted my vibration into thinking that the universe doesnt own me anything and whatever I experience (good or bad) i give gratitude for making me a better person.

    I used to believe everything happened for a reason..not anymore. I believed in a higher power, not anymore. I am a survivor of abuse, bullying, mobbing, harassment, stalking, intimidation by an entire family called the Davindrans. Why? Because i said no more bullying. I stood up, i made reports and i was punished for it. My blind mother died defending our beliefs that no one deserved to be bullied. No. There are bad people and justice needs to take a firm hand. Its not a case of "everything happens for a reason".

    Everything are related to each other. I always believe that everything happens for a reason. You can blame the universe for bringing that incident in your life but thank for making u stronger. I have lots of incidences from which I suffered a lot but they all maked me strong.

      Brenda B the phrase “everything happen for a reasson” is true. and each of us won’t know why and the purpose of why everything happened the way it did. 😂 just live your life the end goal is death

    • @soslothful
      @soslothful 4 года назад +2

      @@thaiwood7528 The difficulty is the ambiguity of the word, "reason." There are two radically different uses of "reason", causal and intentional. Intentional reasons require an agent. Causal reasons do not. A house fire caused by a leaky gas pipe is causal. A house fire by a arsonist is intentional. Very different reasons but still reasons.

    I understand everything she said. This is the most terrible truth. And also probably the last thing one likes to hear during their hard times. But isn't it this thought, the thought that something better will happen to u, the thought that, all ur pain has a reward, keeps the whole world moving? Without this thoughts, any person facing the worst times of their life, will even like to wake up the next and fight back and get back up?

  • @gregakrey4986

    All i heard is me me me, I want. Trauma is a learning lesson. There is no progression in life without trauma. When we forgive we heal. Forgive ones self, another, who, whatever. Its the act of letting go. knowing that our want, our needs are yes important but so are others. As she stated she wasnt aware of the beautiful surroundings of nature. Too caught up in personal pain of loss. Again self involved. As most are. The way of our typical lifestyle and social programming makes sure of this. Didnt hear a word of spouses pain that ended with suicide. Unfortunetly and i apologize for going down this path but it takes two to tangle. WE create our own pain and only we can rationalize its termination. Forgiveness in ourselves first. For how can u forgive others if you in your heart cannot forgive yourself. Not easy. Always a contradiction. Blame it on another. And if u do, you dont get it. Starts with you. Blaming anothers actions for your issues is an endless cycle. You. You alone have power over yourself. Saying you have pain over someone elses suicide is more of a guilt or failure response. Doesnt matter. You are the one to start forgiveness. We all make mistakes. For without trauma WE DO NOT learn anything! We are nothing but lifes experiences! Lets make them our own, to be ourselves, our true selves without guilt or remorse. There is no wrong done, there is no answers, just choices. Lets keep them our own.

      though it is a big problem though if ones equilibrium was off balance in the first place.

    Things do happen for a reason... I simply feel that it’s about personal evolution. The punishment vs reward idea is dangerous. Religion and society drills this in our heads constantly. Nothing is guaranteed in this life and no one owes us anything. That is all.

      We say that when there is a happy or the best possible outcome came out of something bad, but will people still stand by that phrase to bring them or the “victim” comfort when the worst possible outcome occurs?
