Not sure where you could find it, but They (HBO) used this song for I believe the Leonard / Hearns 1 fight in that same year, 1981. They used it for the closing video after the fight ended. It was still one of the greatest post fight video highlights ever done. And those highlights were done to Fire & Ice. It was AWESOME!!
I'm so thrilled to follow you on your journey of discovering great artists from the past. Pat Benatar is a rock star! I saw her live in June 2022 and she still looks and sounds incredible. 40 years later, she still has that voice.
Ben-a-tar... She is amazing Polo!!!!❤ Love the 2 songs you did so far..... He'll Is For Children, Love Is A Battlefield, Heartbreaker, You Better Run, We Belong, and All Fired Up are awesome by Pat Benatar...❤❤❤
One of her best in my opinion...the older the better with her. The newer was never my fav...older for sure. She was rocking and an inspiration for many other female rockers
Three more Pat Benatar songs I would recommend are Heartbreaker, Hell is for Children and Shadows of the Night. All of these continue to incorporate her powerful voice and emotion.
Im repeating my previous said comment by saying my all time top rock females are Pat Benatar along aside Stevie Nicks. Imo theres never been any as effective as they are at exuding a rocks song that just hits and is a pure pleasure to just listen to. Its so hard to put into words but to say they just hit imo. My enjoyment and listening experiences with all kinds of music is vastly wide and decades long as my love for this art is in my DNA...i must give props to the ones that resonate within me and i can never forget that just brings pure pleasure not only to the heart n soul of me but flow through my ear and mind with great pleasure and affect. And that said thanks for choosing to react and present us this one ....🤘😎 keep em all rockin 🎶 definitely appreciate all the music thx 👍
Enjoy the reactions Polo. You can tell how much you're diggin the music by the smile on your face. Keep cranking them out and we'll keep watching. Oh and her last name is pronounced like Ben-ah-tar.
Congratulations I am sure you are proud of your 15 yrs of sobriety. I am going on 12 years. What a great feeling. Great job. Love watching your dancing, your modeling. Your great !
Pat's vocals always sends shivers through me! Also, I think Neil is for sure one of the best guitarists ever! The production on this concert is really great! Analog baby!
Appreciate her so much more now than I did back in 1981. I recognized her amazing voice and catchy lyrics, but wasn't into her Pop Rock genre of music. Didn't recognize just how cold she was. And still is!
I think this is around the time she married lead guitarist Neil Geraldo and they are still together 40 years later. Saw her on this tour and could not believe that voice coming out of that diminutive 5 foot tall woman.
That middle section where she winds the wick up on that line "so you got it all figured out...." is incredible. All time great vocal performance right there.
I fell in love with Pat Benatar in the 80s - I'm pretty sure a lot of young men did. She could sing her ass off (and a lot of us found that ass hot!), and a lot of her music had that punch we craved. What a time to be alive.
I watch the other "reaction podcasts" and you should know that yours is way over all of them. Yours is professional and your "Be You, They'll Adjust" is enlightened so thank you. For another Chrysalis band, you might want to check out The Divinyls...'Pleasure and Pain". Thanks! Peace Be!
YAAAYYY! Thanks for reviewing this. One of the best female rockers ever. If I had to pick the best voice at that time, it would be either Pat Benatar or Annie Lennox from The Eurythmics.
You never hear any trash talk about Pat benatar. You never hear that she lost everything because of a crappy Road manager. You never hear any issues with her copyright. Could it be that her husband and her were business Moguls as well as artists? ❤
Her high notes and technique.. Mariah Carey wishes in her dreams she had a voice with this much control through the entire range. I hate to critique Mariah but when she came out, I still thought Benatar had the stronger high range and got less credit for it. Benatar's song "Invincible" (1985) with the high notes at the end, is just astounding. She's the real deal. I used to sing to her records all the time just to work on my range (when I was 12 years old) - and wished I could sing with that growl she has. So I stuck to jazz and sing to my Benatar records when no one's home - just for fun. Love seeing you discover her!
Not sure I mentioned…A close friend of mine is a keyboardist, and before Pat B was famous, he was offered a touring job with her. But, he was also offered a gig with another band, at the same time, the money was better. He didn’t take Pat’s offer, but took the other job. Needless to say, he made a BIG mistake! She became a superstar. The other band folded. A true lifetime of regret! Yikes.
Pat is crazy good with a 5 octave range, being 5 ft tall that's an octave per foot. Wow Pat and Neil canceled their tour just starting as Neil her husband and lead guitarist had to undergo emergency eye surgery to save the site in his right eye.
I don’t know why people dub over Pat’s live performances with studio versions. It’s easy to do, but still easy to tell, especially if you’re very familiar with the studio version. You can see from this ‘82 actual live footage of Fire and Ice that a dub does a disservice to her ability to perform, nearly perfectly, live. ruclips.net/video/Wxgcu0d2WOM/видео.htmlsi=-ijiNHnmkONEMeHC
The decades don't exactly match up to the music made in any given year. The 70s started in the late 60s when the recording technology made some quantum jumps sround 1968. And many mid 70s bands continued to rock out with traditional instruments into the mid-80s.

Polo, it's pronounced Bene-tar (like road tar).
Polo, you have a good poker face, but 2:22 and 2:56... yeah, I wanted her too.
BeneTAR is pronounced just as the hot tar in drive way or parking lot is pronounced. 😉
Since others already helped with the name, I'll give two must listen to requests from Pat. Promises in the Dark, and Hell is for Children
Not sure where you could find it, but They (HBO) used this song for I believe the Leonard / Hearns 1 fight in that same year, 1981. They used it for the closing video after the fight ended. "Ben-ah-tar"
She’s was every school boys fantasy when I was in High school. Now looking at this video, she still is for me! What a voice!!!
I totally was into her voice as soon as one of THE first videos of Pat played on MTV. It’s called You Better Run. 🔥
One of her best in my opinion...the older the better with her. The newer was never my fav...older for sure. She was rocking and an inspiration for many other female rockers
Love the reaction. Lead Guitarist is her Husband. What a team!!!
Been listening to her since I was a kid. Pat is 🔥. ❤❤❤
Three more Pat Benatar songs I would recommend are Heartbreaker, Hell is for Children and Shadows of the Night. All of these continue to incorporate her powerful voice and emotion.
I want to go back to the 80’s: every day. Pat Benatar is just one example why ❤😂
Pat Benatar, Joan Jett and Heart all bad asses.
don't forget Chrissie Hynde, Lita Ford and Debby Harry. female rockers shattered the glass ceiling in the 80's with a lot of great music
How can you sit there and list these singers and deliberately overlook Kiki Dee.
She has ONE of the purest voices !
She and Kiki Dee. To me the best two female rock voices ever.
Im repeating my previous said comment by saying my all time top rock females are Pat Benatar along aside Stevie Nicks. Those are two giants for sure, but I don't know how you can leave Ann Wilson of Heart off your list.
I was in love with Pat Benatar. Had her poster in my room throughout my teenage years. She was tuff!
I saw her in concert back in the 80s and she kicked ass! Her husband is an amazing guitarist and they have been married for forty years.
Love your choices. You're playing my history. Benetar, say the t.
Enjoy the reactions Polo. You can tell how much you're diggin the music by the smile on your face. Keep cranking them out and we'll keep watching. Oh and her last name is pronounced like Ben-ah-tar.
LOVE PAT BENETAR!!! POWERHOUSE!! Thanks, Polo!!
man, you've single-handedly restored my faith in all the old shit i've loved my whole life never dying. and made it fun. thanks.
BEN - AH - TAR - there is NO ONE like her
Ha ha. That tweaked me too. 😅
Congratulations I am sure you are proud of your 15 yrs of sobriety. I am going on 12 years. What a great feeling. Great job. Love watching your dancing, your modeling. Your great !
Love Pat💙💙💙 Classic trained and became a rocker.
Pat's vocals always sends shivers through me! Also, I think Neil is for sure one of the best guitarists ever! The production on this concert is really great! Analog baby!
Great song. Pat is amazing.
Her '81 album "Precious Time" that this (and Promises In The Dark) is from is an absolute killer. Best cover of Helter Skelter ever, for my money.
Awesome reaction. Clean and simple, she is amazing and the band is tight!
FYI, her name is pronounced Pat Bena-TAR like tar on a rooftop. She's a legend.
I feel like he knows that- and is trying to make his “first” time listening seem more authentic…
Something tells me he knows that.. but needs to make his “first time” listening seem more authentic….
@@dinamonlol that’s a bit of a reach, Polo doesn’t do that
She’s GREAT
Pat BenaTAR😊
Growing up in the 80s I was in love with her and a few others..
She ruled rock for about 6yrs, and is still out there doing shows. I’ve seen her several times, and she can still sing her ass off. ❤
Appreciate her so much more now than I did back in 1981. I recognized her amazing voice and catchy lyrics, but wasn't into her Pop Rock genre of music. Didn't recognize just how cold she was. And still is!
Please, please please react to Hell Is For Children. I promise you will not be disappointed!
I definitely second that request
@@justmejoy124same.
Yes, Pat Benatar 👏 more plz. Shadows of the night or hit me with your best shot. ✌️
Ann Wilson is the rock vocal Queen of ❤ Pat is the rock vocal Queen of ♠️
No way, Hozay. The vocal Queen is Madonna.
@@trhansen3244 She isn’t rock
I think this is around the time she married lead guitarist Neil Geraldo and they are still together 40 years later.
Saw her on this tour and could not believe that voice coming out of that diminutive 5 foot tall woman.
crazy crush on her growing up BeniTAR like the shit on the rd. Thanks
Pat Pen-a-tar
Rhymes with Star.
*Benatar.😊
Pat the Bomb!!!
I'm 60 and listened to Pat growing up. I'm lucky I grew up when I did..
saw her live back in the long ago times. me n' my hair to my waist i had then loved it
BEN ah Tar
Beautiful, badass Pat! Oh, how we loved her in the 80s. "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" was one of the biggest hits.
Her and Dio, two tiny folks with HUGE voices.
My oldest son was born in 1983. Your music tastes remind me so much of him. His Mom is a rocker though and he still knows who Pat benatar is. ❤❤❤
Pat is sure a Badass
Guitar solo is really talkin to me now!🎵🎶
That middle section where she winds the wick up on that line "so you got it all figured out...." is incredible. All time great vocal performance right there.
I can't ever get enough of Pat Benatar. Another great song of hers (one that is IMO underrated) is "Precious Time".
Half the girls in school had the Pat Benatar hair & fashion look. 😅
She and the lead guitar player Neil Giraldo have been married for over 40 years
Sex As A Weapon- Treat Me Right - Shadows of the Night
She was classical trained as an Opera Singer. I've seen her n thg e band multiple times and she never let's ya down. Voice is fire
I have seen her live..that is what she sounds like..very powerful voice
I wonder why she never went into acting like Olivia Newton John, Madonna, Cher and Whitney Houston.
Ben-a-tar
I fell in love with Pat Benatar in the 80s - I'm pretty sure a lot of young men did. She could sing her ass off (and a lot of us found that ass hot!), and a lot of her music had that punch we craved.
What a time to be alive.
How come Madonna is remembered as a bigger singer? What gives? How can that be? What was going on? Madonna's voice is even worse than mine.
Pat Ben Ah Tar (like roof Tar or Tardy, the AR is pronounced like ARE not ERRR.
Love Pat Benatar!!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I doubt there is a female artist alive who doesn't know every one of Pat Benatar songs and aspired to be her. I've heard several of them say it. ❤❤❤
I watch the other "reaction podcasts" and you should know that yours is way over all of them. Yours is professional and your "Be You, They'll Adjust" is enlightened so thank you. For another Chrysalis band, you might want to check out The Divinyls...'Pleasure and Pain". Thanks! Peace Be!
She is a power house. She left a big impression on my wife when she heard Pat as a younger teenager
I love this damn song
next songs by pat and the band:
shadows of the night
you better run
heartbreaker
treat me right
I love your reaction
YAAAYYY! Thanks for reviewing this. One of the best female rockers ever. If I had to pick the best voice at that time, it would be either Pat Benatar or Annie Lennox from The Eurythmics.
Trained opera singer, fyi ❤
Thank you. Love you & Pat ❤

I saw her in Hershey Pa in July and she is amazing still at the age of I think 71??? 72?? Anyways still sounds great to this day.
Pat Benatar is one of the greats!
The Voice
I thought Madonna was the Voice?
Her high notes and technique.. Mariah Carey wishes in her dreams she had a voice with this much control through the entire range. I hate to critique Mariah but when she came out, I still thought Benatar had the stronger high range and got less credit for it. Benatar's song "Invincible" (1985) with the high notes at the end, is just astounding. She's the real deal. I’d love to see what you’d think of Heartbreaker 👍
I think another good rocker from her would be You Better Run. Also, another would be Hell is for Children.
Love your reactions! BTW, her last name is pronounced with the emphasis on "tar." 😉
❤❤❤
Thank you.
Yeah Buddy Pat was awesome in many ways 😮😅.....now check out the song Hell is for Children 🔥🔥🔥
I am sorry, but Pat was the finest woman in Rock. Rolling Stones, and the black jumpsuit. Daaammnn.....
I saw her this same year (1981)....never forget that outfit.
Pat is crazy good with a 5 octave range, being 5 ft tall that's an octave per foot. Wow

BEN eh tar
Pat Benatar was classically trained. Her mother was an opera singer. HELL IS FOR CHILDREN!!!
Hilarious! Her mother was a beautician.
☮️💙💙💙🔥🔥😎😍
Easily one of the best female vocalist of all time.
Hooray for short girls 😉 we can dance ❤ ✌️ Polo...
She still sounds amazing - check out her rendition of "Just Like a Pill" at the iHeart Radio award for P!nk
We know, we know...those pants!
ben-a-tar .. i think 😆
"Please give "Hell is for Children" a listen.
Great tune!!! But, it's Ben...ah....tar.
Pat Benader...lol
