That to me is the real Arizona. Forget huge city's, give me the wide open spaces and a bit of history and I'm happy.

My husband and I were at Sunset Crater 27 years ago. We were on our way to the Grand Canyon. We had no idea about the archaeological sites on the other side of the volcano!! We walked among the lava fields and marveled at how high they were and how the vegetation was still kind of sparse after 800 years. I'm glad the inhabitants were wise enough to get out of there unlike the folks of Pompeii.

Wow, just wow! I'm at a loss for words right now. I lived in Arizona back in 2013, and there were many places that I didn't visit. After seeing this video, when I move back this will be one of the top 3 sites I'll be visiting. Thanks Jeff for the video tours.

Did this drive some years ago. In Sunset Crater NM, there’s the 1-mile Lava Flow loop trail which is very cool and you can also hike up the side of one of the cinder cones next to the park road. Wupatki NM is very interesting indeed; you get to see how the people of those times lived, played and interacted within the settlement that they built.
Apart from that, Walnut Canyon NM is another good archaeological site with ruins built into the sides of a cliff.
And over by Winslow, there’s Meteor Crater, which is amazing when you see how big it is in person.

That is really cool. Imagine picking up those stones 1 by 1 and building your own home from that while making a life off the land.

Enjoyed the video, definantly a place on my list of places to go, but one question: were the stones in the archaeological sites picked up off the ground and not made by the Natives? They look too uniform to just be picked up off the ground . . . that info along with approx how long it took to build the structures would have been interesting to add to the video. Thank you for creating these videos.
