I’M NOT CUTE I’M A BAD MOFO!
Sorry for the long video 😅. I couldn’t stop replaying this one 🤣. Been listening to this straight for 3 days now 🔥🔥
Fun fact...the name of the album is "Load", the picture of the bloody jizz on the album cover should be a clue. Check out Re-Load too.
BluntMan, if you want epic songs, it's time to introduce you to hybrid metal, AKA Nu-Metal. Would love to see you react to From Ashes to New (band) song, "Breaking Now" from the Album "Day One". Epic...
No apologies necessary. ROCK ON BROTHER!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Different songs from Metallica ... but similar type of feelings generated for "Fixxxer" and "The Outlaw Torn" ... you will LOVE them!
Now you just need Tool
Metallica's "The outlaw torn" and "Until it sleeps" is a must , man 🤟🏻
The whole album doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. It’s my top 3 Metallica. I would also recommend Until it Sleeps and Hero of the Day from this album too!
its a fantastic album. but the last truly great Metallica album, the newer stuff is meh.
Load and Reload are probably their best albums
It's not that it's bad it's just not thrash metal that they made sound not just good for metal music but unforgettable music in the history of all music. Those songs are always reacted today and people's mind ate blown. The load Era can be lost with all the other great 90s music that was being made at the time.
Load and Reload may not be Thrash metal, but they are definitely two of Metallica's heaviest albums. The content of the songs...the melodies...not to mention Newsted standing out on these albums so much.
100 percent agree. I think people just struggled not hearing the thrash. But this bluesy groovy metallica hits just as hard but different.
One word to describe this band: legendary
I love how you described the different flavors of Metallica. This is why I love metallica and why they are the greatest band in the world. They didn't rest on their laurels and put out the same stuff over and over. They pushed themselves and dared to try new things. If you ever get a chance to see them in concert don't let it pass you by. 🤘
Outlaw torn (unincumbered version) is a must! And is one of my favorite Metallica songs! 🤘
I use that song as my alarm in the morning. 🤘👍
@tijmen-vm9lq Hell I use Inamorata!
@@gunsgoodtimelazy bastard lol
Until it sleeps, most under rated Metallica song … takes me back to a darker time in my life… fan since mid 80’s and was lucky enough to have seen Cliff live once. Close to 40 years later and still love this band
Is it underrated? That and sandman are what everyone starts with! It was on MTV all day long back in the day
This album was another one that had songs that just hit me where I was in my life this song being one of the key songs from that time! Glad you enjoyed it!
This album and Reload got so much hate back in the day but if those haters who are nearly 30 years older today re-listened to these albums they would get a LOT out of them I bet, as the songs have aged like fine wine and cheese!! The haters must have been through a lot in that time that would change their opinions on the songs I 100% feel they would!
I LOVE your Metallica reactions you truly understand what they are saying through their instruments.
The Outlaw Torn from the same album is another amazing song you should definitely check out
I just saw Metallica in Dallas a few weeks ago.....this was my 3rd time seeing them and they just seem to get better each time!!! I highly recommend seeing them live!!!!
I was there for both nights, seen them over 100x & will continue until the day I die! Heading to St Louis next, if you haven’t seen them you’re Truly missing out!!!!!
If you love that one then "the outlaw torn" is a MUST. (If you havent done it yet)
This is from a 2001 interview that James Hetfield, one of the songwriters for Metallica and rhythm guitarist had to say about the song: "Around the time of Load, I felt I wanted to stop drinking. “Maybe I’m missing out on something. Everyone else seems so happy all the time. I want to get happy.” I’d plan my life around a hangover: “The Misfits are playing in town Friday night, so Saturday is hangover day.” I lost a lot of days in my life. Going to therapy for a year, I learned a lot about myself. There’s a lot of things that scar you when you’re growing up, you don’t know why. The song Bleeding Me is about that: I was trying to bleed out all bad, get the evil out. While I was going through therapy, I discovered some ugly stuff in there. A dark spot."
James went back to rehab back in October of 2019.
Always love your genuine reactions. "Outlaw Torn" is a great next step from the same album as well as "Until it sleeps" and "King Nothing". "Until it sleeps" was the first song I ever heard of them, made me a fan ever since. Rock on buddy, look forward to more. Soak it all in.
Same here..
People put this album down . But I like it as much as any of their other work. I love all their work. I used to work a nightshift and I had to drive 60 miles each way. So I would cycle through all their albums and JAM my ass off all the way.
Just had that vibe to it.
This is such an underrated song in Metallica's catalog. It's legit top 5 for me.
I highly recommend you check out something from the S&M concerts (both 1 and 2 are incredible). It's a show where Metallica played with the entire San Francisco Symphony and Orchestra. My personal recommendation is No Leaf Clover from the original show.
I up No Leaf Clover!!!
The S&M version of this song is great. Same goes for The Outlaw Torn (also originally on Load).
Yes man! we need more Metallica! You want to be amazed? check Orion, the studio version, enjoy, the song is instrumental, its a real trip believe me :)
This record has taken a lot of shit from "fans" claiming it's not Metallica, not heavy... that just shows that they don't understand what heavy music is, it's not just the music that can be heavy, this album is so lyrically heavy it's crazy, and SOOOO Metallica...
Great reaction man..
This album was under appreciated when it released. I’m sure it still is and that’s sad. Just because it was different from their past people slept on it.
If any other band would have put it out, would have been a instant hit
issue was ppl standards for metallica were at an all time high and people would've never expected them to try something completely new with load and reload. Guess they weren't ready for the masterpieces they put out in 96'and 97'
I was at their show in the Meadowlands at the start the 72 seasons tour. Dude next to me got up and left when the load songs came on. I asked him the next night and he said he hated anything black album and later. Left early on night 2 also. Bro spent 500 bucks to listen to 5 songs each night then bounce. At this point there is more post black album material than pre. Love it all or don't call yourself a fan.
@@Jf26111 People have a right to not like something, some post Black fans are even more toxic than the pre Black fans.
I love your enthusiasm. I love all kinds of music, but this right here is my first love. Metallica is epic.
Metallica just makes you want to get up and groove. Always love them ❤🔥❤🔥
I’m so glad that you love this song as much as I do. This album gets so much hate but I think it’s one of their best. James singing is peak performance, it’s also his most personal lyrically, the song compositions are on point, and production value still way up! Sounds like it could’ve been produced today! And this song in particular is my favorite!
If you really like their different sounds, another unusual one is "Low Man's Lyric".
Going to see Metallica tomorrow night. Perfect timing.
How did the concert go?
@@OriginalMiztiki thanks for asking, absolutely awesome. I can't imagine any other dudes that close to cashing in social security checks playing that hard for two hours with just a few minutes rest in there. They've been playing to arena sized audiences for a very long time and it shows.
Subscribed because of your metallica comments and you're awesome!
One of the best guitar solos by Hammet ever!! Epic truly!
This is absolutely one of Metallica's best songs. The structure of the song with the slow burn type of buildup reminds me a little of Master of Puppets- just in the opposite order.
Bro, see these guys in concert! They wont be doing this forever. Its one in a lifetime live event.
Mainly, the people that dont like this era of Metallica, only listen to thrash. No thanks, thrash is great, but not every album, like a lot of bands like Testament, Exodus, Overkill, Slayer. I like those bands, but they get boring quickly. Metallica gives you thrash, groove, melodic, tempo, sludge. Thats why the mass appeal, best band ever.
You really should do a reaction to Janis Joplin…she was incredible…summertime was a great song but not one of her big hits. Then there is the Righteous Brothers song Unchained Melody… unbelievable singer! And in the ghetto by Elvis Presley…these will blow u away!,,
Metallica should be on everyones bucket list to see at least once if they respect or appreciate music. Its a experience like no other
James doesnt get enough credit for his lyrics. This songs a great example and ive always loved this one. Fixxxer is also amazing. And "wasting my hate" are very insightful. Also my friend of misery.
WOW!!! What a great reaction to one my top 5 Metallica songs! Checkout the LIVE ACOUSTIC version is so 🔥
When I’m in a dark place, This song brings me to tears, literally a cry for help 😩
My man! Great album! A lot of fans got turned off in this era but I really enjoyed it. Glad you like it.
IDK why but this song lyrically loosely reminds me of Tool's 46 and 2. Its encouraging that artists share with us their thoughts on self improvement and addressing responsibility of actions i.e. be a better person today than yesterday based on the work required.
If you dig this check out “Don’t Tread on Me”…..not a very well known song compared to some of their others but man….it’s just as good as anything they’ve ever done 🖤
Two other epic tunes from that period... The Outlaw Torn & Fixxxer. Keep it up!
3 absolute bangers
My favorite Metallica song by far. Love it!
More Metalica? FK N A YESS... Unforgiven, where Ever I may roam, seek and destroy, sanitarium, the official video for Enter Sandman, nothing else matters... ( that's a good start)...
Had this album on repeat when it came out! I didn't care what people said.
love the “dreadbangs” brother 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 i absolutely love this song the music is epic as always and this song brings out all the vocal talents of James not to mention the deep meaning of the lyrics as always. Welcome to the metal world new metal head
Man! I am so happy you got the Floyd feel! I get it!!
The singers back then had no auto tune and the instruments were not electric synthesized music. They had real talent. And Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven is iconic. Then there is Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum…
You need to react to the Outlaw Torn next, same album, last track. One of my top 5 favorite Metallica songs
One of the biggest hallmarks of Metallica is the fact that with every single album, and almost every song, they subvert expectations and show you something new, different, and interesting. You may or may not like what they show you, but it's always at least interesting and different.
Another big hallmark of Metallica's music is not only their innovative and dynamic approach to playing their instruments, but the depth and scope of the lyrics that their singer, James Hetfield, writes. Frankly, moreso than most metal bands, Metallica is really the "Intellectual Metal Head's" band.
This is how you turn someone into a metal head - get them listening to Metallica. And you're well on your way to becoming a full on metal head. You're even getting into the headbanging (and the long dreads go well with that, by the way). Love it!
And some people want Metallica to release Master of Puppets every 5 years. It’s great, but it’s one flavour in the Metallica ice cream shop.
Makes me laugh when people say this album was them ‘selling out’ - selling out would have been making the Black Album part 2. This was all risk!
If you haven't checked them out yet, get into these Metallica songs...
Frayed Ends Of Sanity
King Nothing
Poor Twisted Me
Ain't My Bitch
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Dyers Eve
And anything you haven't checked out on Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning.
That should be a good start.
Your enjoy for this masterpiece is my enjoy too! This song has a special place in my hart! Thank you so much, my friend! 🤘
You've listened, here, to one of Kirk Hammet's best solos...another of his best is in "Where the Wild Things Are"...would love to see your reaction to that....
This is how you know when "MetallicA fans" diss Load/'96-99 era as a whole, they're exactly that, fans, fanboys. To me, fan, is a derogatory term as I loathe idolizing other humans. I am however a lover of Top Tier music, which there's very very little of, in my opinion MetallicA are the lone mainstream top tier musicians of the modern era up until the use of digital mods to substitute actual skill. This may have come out on CD, but it's pure analog rare earth individual emotion that 99% lack. They lack'n. They cap'n. Bra they got you crawling around in that chair like you just ate an ⅛-o-🍄's, as it should
The really different song for Metallica on this album was “Mama Said”
Not just on this album, but period. I love that song.
Say what you will about “Load-era”
Metallica there were some great songs on those albums….perfect example right here
I remember when this (and Load) came out and everyone couldn't stop complaining for the next 15 years, then they actually gave it a fair listen and realized how damn good some of the songs from this era were. If they trimmed off the filler on those 2 albums and combined them into one, it would have been a masterpiece.
You and I are scary alike. Lol. I feel exactly the same as you when hearing this song!
Your lips say, "Don't do this to me" your voice says, for just a little longer... oh yeah...
This Metallica album has, for me, more playtime than all the others combined. I dont know exacly why, but i dont really need a reason for it.
I know a lot of people didn't like Load and Reload and while they weren't the previous albums they were still good imho. Nice to see a reaction to this one. 🤘🔥🤘❤️🫂
If you liked this one, you gonna love The Outlaw Torn and Until It Sleeps
Bro, you've basically reactd to my whole playlist :D subbed
Hmmm... haven't heard this one... could be interesting...
i love this one too, man.. subbed and i dig your music exploration
Bout GD time you rolled cross this. Been raising my arm hair since 6th grade
I love that you love them. They rock! And never stop!!
THAT is how you FEEL the music Metallica plays. Absolute banger of a reaction, dude. Thank you, man. wonderful.
The best Metallica album to drive home after dusk
I would love to see you react to more Metallica, they have so many amazing songs. Seeing your reaction to this i would recommend The outlaw torn, Until it sleeps, Inamorata, room of mirrors
Outlaw Torn from Metallica next. 👍👍💯
Bleeding Me is definitely in my top 10 Metallica songs.
'The Outlaw Torn' is another epic from this album. You'll definitely like that one too.
That rock out during the solo i love it. This is one of my all time favorite bands to listen to and when you start it turns into a rabbit hole of listening to more songs by Metallica
This reaction was a trip, pink floyd got you thinkin and chillen, this one grabbed you by the short hairs and said, we trippen up mount Everest in record time... its also up there with your Bohemian rpasity reaction...
Your joy in the music is contagious! Thank you for being you🙏🏼
This is one of my favorite songs off this album.
I love the positive approach dude ✌️🤘
As a lifelong Metallica fan, I can't thank you enough for such a genuine and meaningful reaction to one of my most treasured songs.
I defended this album against all the haters saying that "Metallica sold out". This album could have set course for an entirely new genre of music fusing metal and blues with country undertones... It was a work of art that was punctuated by this song.
Unfortunately, the band wasn't permitted by their fan base to grow it.
You, sir, are a legend. Easy sub ❤️🍻
Thanks for leaving a comment :). And based off of other comments I see that a lot of people stating this turned them away a bit. What was it really ?
@@TooBlunt Essentially it was the band's name "Metallica" that kind of handcuffed them. After many years defining and perfecting thrash metal, the move to the more radio friendly (but still arguably great) Black Album divided the fan base a bit already... So the next move to something radically new in music as a whole left alot scratching their heads wondering where their childhood heroes went.
You should have seen how much hate this album got. It was shameful. Clearly they had a lot of 'Metal Up Your Ass" fans and not enough fans of music in general. I was amazed at the bold brilliance of Load.
Thankfully the album has aged incredibly well and is finally the cherished work it should have been in the first place. Ahead of its time I suppose. 🤷
Remember when you had a hard time catching the beat of rock songs? Now you're a rock and roll professor. I've never heard this song before, I'm embarrassed. I had a blast hanging with you today.☮️💜🤘🔥🎸 You've got to get to a Metallica concert. " I drive a Dodge Stratus" killed me. It's my nieces and my code phrase whenever we feel we need the "status or a little respect"! Long live Will Ferrell. Man, I was crying tears of joy watching you replay parts and say "because you all didn't hear this" and not wanting the song to end. I felt this🤘☮️🔥😹
I adored your reaction to this amazing song. ❤
❤️❤️
This reaction is 🔥!and I love how clean your channel is. 😍
I forgot how good this song was!! 🤟🏼
This is one of my favorite tracks of all time
Always hits me in the feels
Love the Channel branching out into other topics
Someone is giving you bad suggestions about Metallica songs. This is about their 65th best song.
Nah, top ten, easy! 😄
Enjoyed your reaction to this great song, that's the way I feel when I hear it ❤
The House That Jack Built-is another great. Also Fixxxer. Badass. The tone on Load and Re-Load is tasty.
This album is a masterpiece.
Dude, I just came across your reaction to Master of Puppets thanks to the “Great Holy Algorithm” Then I went to your channel and watched your reaction to One. Tears, bro. Then I saw that you reacted to this, my favourite Metallica song. This song is in my heart. The 1999 live version with the San Francisco Symphony is baller. You’ve earned a new subscriber.
Wholly balls... 1st pause... ok i know this song... time to add it to my list...
Lol
You definitely need to react to "Ronnie" by Metallica. Great react my man!!!
More Metallica please!!
Low Man's Lyric!!!!!
I love the way you put my 2 favourite bands in the same sentence together. Pink Floyd and Metallica
Just my suggestion, as a viewer of the kind of things that hit you, I suggest "Solace of you" By Living Colour, Btw they are incredible as well! Worth a deep dive. They are more than "Cult of Personality" which is most all people know.
Metallica has some many good albums. Black, and justice for all, load, reload, master of puppets
There is a Metallica album called S&M live with the San Francisco symphony orchestra... .... Epic is an understatement
The last bit with " I'm digging to something better" I feel he finally left the wheel of suffering & left this world to 'something better' 😢 masterpiece.
More Metallicaaaaaa!
Just found your channel tonight, but as a 52yr old Metallica junkie I am always happy when people appreciate the diversity of their music. So many “metal” fans only want thrash all day long, and good on them, but to me Metallica is always my favorite band since I stole my sisters cassette in 1984.
I would definitely say that if you took the greatest songs on Load and ReLoad and made one album out of them it would absolutely CRUSH. The problem is getting everybody to agree which songs to keep and which songs to cut. But anyone tells me Bleeding Me deserves the chop, and I'll fight 'em. I'll fight 'em GOOD! MFer just builds and builds and builds and then explodes and then gently brings you back down to Earth.
I am a die-hard Mettallica1 fan.
I dub Metallica2 as Load and forward.
Bleeding Me is so good, but so different, that I had to split Metallica in 2.
Metallica2 is a top 20 all-time band for me.
Load metallica has higher highs, and admittedly lower lows, than the Black album.
"I drive a Dodge Stratus!" is a hilarious way to calm down, and maybe, possibly, flex in an oddly relatable fashion?
Thank you for doing these videos. I have been a fan since "Ride the Lightning", and like many others, kind of dismissed them when the Black album came out. I still always love the early stuff, but didnt invest much since then. I went to see them in concert this year, and it revived my interest a bit, but after seeing this, and hearing it again, I have been inspired to check out their more recent stuff. Also, if you are interested in listening to some more metal, I would suggest Pantera. A good starter song for them might be "Cemetary Gates"
